On Benjen and Coldhands- I think it's possible that it's just Benjens body, and it's some other old spirit warging into him. That would answer both George's "It's not Benjen :)" note and also Leaf's later words about him being very old.
I've been binging the abriged episodes like crazy and his voice is sooooo soothing holy shit like I work with the podcast on the background and it's so good, glad to see the episodes are coming back

Maybe jon becomes more blind in the later books because of the work and pressure around being a commander. Easier to be perceptive when your mind is free.

I really think this would be great as a semi-weekly, every 2 weeks sort of deal. That's 26 chapters/year, so you would still have several years worth of content, and you would get considerably more engagement, which is never a bad thing in the TH-cam world.
I can't believe it ahhh I'm rereading ASOIAF rn and for the first time I'm reading it in English instead of German. And after finishing a chapter I turned to GOT Abrigded which I've never listened to before. I'm at the beginning of ACOK rn and this is timed so well. Can't wait to listen to it soon :)))

She probably doesn’t even think he’s been in the cave that long. I say that to say that Coldhands is probably older than Brendyn Rivers. Mayhaps hundreds, Mayhaps thousands of years old

The main reason I don't like the Benjen = Coldhands theory is Bran not recognizing him. Secondary is Leaf saying they killed him long ago. Authors notes in the margins of a manuscript are only a shade above fan speculation as evidence for something.
