This is the most beautiful and chaotic thing I’ve ever watched.
Haha I love it! I want to do more things like this.
love it Sir @@pop-comics
Dude in the orange shirt is awesome. Lots of the long time dealers I’ve met at shows have lost their enthusiasm for the hobby. His energy and personality are amazing.
He had collectible show on Netflix if I'm not mistaken.😊
Couldn't agree more! I love that he is still so much in love with the world of comics.
I dont remember if he had a show on Netflix but I would not be surprised if he was on shows on tv.
I'm from Queens, nice to see there are still some of the old school kooky people around that made NYC what it was when I was a kid. Real Seinfeld type characters.
Yup nice to have long term locals with fun personalities around.
I was exhausted after watching this wheel & deal segment but I couldn't stop watching 😮! You kept up with Mike's fast selling pace very well; I would have overloaded! 1:14:22
Yeah Mike has a very high energy constantly selling offering etc. I find it really fun, and we always end up with a price that I am comfortable with. Sometimes I have to slow it down lol but he keeps going and negotiates with himself haha
This dude is fucking amazing! I wish he was my neighbor. Thanks for sharing.
He is! He would be a fun neighbor to have indeed.
yeah hes a character!
If he's not dressed like The Joker on purpose that's awesome!
He has his own fun style.
Def looks like its his style!
Sean this is like a comics convention BLEW UP!!!!
For sure!
Sean, I'm envious of your proximity to all of those cool people and their cool deals...!!
NYC is full of so much comic history indeed.
LOL. "Negotiate with yourself and I'll take it." Nice! 🙂 Mike is awesome.
Haha yeah he is great.
Mike's energy is through the roof. Love watching him talk comics and go through collections.
I love it, its so much fun to wheel and deal with him.
OMG! That guy is a hoot!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So cool!
He definitely is.
It's one of my favorite videos, Mike's a character. Say what you want, but the man is a legend in the industry,
Definitely!
OMG! I love Carbonaro's outlook on life !
Yeah he is awesome, I want to have his energy when I am his age.
What a happy hoader this guy is.
Definitely super happy, he has a lot of stuff. But he buys and sells, so much of this stuff is only temporarily with him until he finds a new home for it.
Used to see Mike a lot at the New York Cons!
Life of the party❤
He still is there at every NYCC!
Pop Comics Thanks for the video. That guy Mike is an Ace. He's from the Old school. He's probably got many great stories to tell.
Hopefully I can capture a bunch of his stories over time. I am sure there are tons of them.
This is so frigging Awesome! I could watch these videos all day. I am totally amazed atvtge guys Collection!
Yeah it was a blast to dig through his garage, if you have not watched it yet check out the basement video as well. Just as much amazing things.
Incredible. What a gem of a human.
Indeed!
This dude has some amazing collection of comics in that garage man.Wow, I was very impressed.I had to watch this video 3 times cause it was so awesome, so cool.Wow there was a lot of really cool comics and stuff in that place
Yeah its crazy what he has in there and we barely touched the surface. If you have not watched it yet, I also did a video in his basement.
Classic Carbo. Thanks for sharing!
For sure!
A whirlwind! Incredible. Could spend a whole day there.
Yeah me too, I will be back to dig again.
These Mike Carbo videos are great, I could watch them all day.
I want to do a ton more videos like this, so much fun.
How wonderful to see Mike's garage of fantastic items! Thank you so much for sharing this!! 👍🏻
Yeah it was super fun to get to dig, I need a lot more time next time.
What an amazing place to dig, Wow!
Yeah it was overwhelmingly awesome!
This is Mike Carbo for ya. Very good dude. If you were there last saturday, I was working behind the table he had set up in the backyard.
Yup, he is always fun to wheel and deal with and a ton of energy.
All I got to say , is that some guys have all the luck! Thanks for sharing this awesome dig. The force is strong with this one!
In these situations I like to use the Seneca quote “Luck Is What Happens When Preparation Meets Opportunity" Mike hustles harder then anyone I know! He is 20 years older then me but has more energy then I did 20 years ago.
Such great comics.
Sorting through laundry and listening to Mike's Amazing Stories... Mott the Hoople and Queen on 42nd st... Wow!!
Yeah that story was awesome.
He was on Comics Den too!
He is a NYC comic vending legend.
Mike has such great stories!
Yeah I need to try to record a bunch of them, he has such a fun history to share.
Loved watching that! Mike is still exactly the same after all these years, I don't feel that old, but I first encountered him and his father at an antique show, I want to say almost 38 years ago? something like that. Both were very cool and when you left you walked away thinking what just happened? what did I buy? After that he never forgets you, he's like yeah you're the guy with the posters, what did you bring me this time? or I sold you that original art from Millie the Model, you made money right? I told you! I have never met him when the switch was off, and I bet he doesn't sleep much, that would be too boring for Mike. He should be doing content, have a crew film him for a few weeks before during and after a big show, or buying collections, this gold.
Yeah his energy is insane, he is still going strong all these years later. I hope to capture more of his stories on videos etc.
I have now learned to know a little about Mike through your videos and have checked a couple of others with him and I enjoy listening to him. Thank you! I hope Collector-Sean can visit him too. It would be interesting to see the difference in digging.
Mike is a super fun person to buy from and hang out with. I hope to share more of his stories over the years.
Another Mike C video!! What A Queens legend. To Everyone watching, I used to go to his Forest Hills store in 1983 when I was a kid. He was EXACTLY the same, only his hair was jet black with no porn stache. Like Larys Strong from House of the Dragon. My Mom thought he was a kook.
I remember pulling a Spider-man # 8, Action comics (first Parasite), the Ronin #1 hype etc. The store was a closet but just like the garage. Gold nuggets everywhere!!
I also love NYC dealers because they have these bizarre obscure comic and magazine runs. A lot are distributor warehouse finds. I know Warren Magazines did an auction of back stock when they went bankrupt.
I asked another NYC legend Pete Koch why he had about 70 copies of a random issue of Famous Monsters. He told me when Warren went down, they threw a bunch of stuff out of the office. Pete grabbed all the stuff out of the dumpster in front of their Midtown office. I see all these books at every NYC show.
Sean- you had the perfect wingman with you. . I’d love for you to do a commentary on this video. How it came up, what was running through your mind in terms of space and budget etc.
The numbers you guys were throwing back and forth made my head explode. I would have constantly been adding everything and checking my wallet.
Do you plan on going to Koch’s warehouse before they close? Great video!
Your store is great BTW! Apparently your wife and I went to the same HS
Wow the Warren story makes senses, I seem to find stashes of them here and there. I was going to go to Koch again Last Saturday but I was exhausted from filming and editing. My haul videos from the basement etc I think I explain my thinking and reasoning with the purchase.
He was just packing up when I arrived but he let me look thru some of the boxes. I didn't want to make him wait, so i rushed through but I found two books (Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends #1 and Spider-Man #1) both for 15. He said since I was the last one there, he would give me a good deal. I stopped collecting right before ASM 300, so I didn't want to pay too much for Spider-Man #1. I probably should mentioned I knew about the sale through your channel. Thanks for the content Pop-comics.
Fantastic!
Very cool
Thanks :)
The greatest comic dealer on the planet. He needs his own channel
Until then I will try to get him onto this channel when I can.
😊Wow wow wow.
Wow indeed!
MY DUDE, this is the best video on ALL OF THE TH-camS.
Thank you! I want to get a lot more of mikes stories on camera, they are so much fun.
Mike is nothing but class, Dude is such a great guy!
Yeah he is great, I really enjoy buying from him. It can be a crazy rollercoaster at times but he always gives me a good deal and if there is something off he makes it right. I appreciate him.
This dude was at Terrificon in CT and he was a lot of fun.
Yup buying from him is always a blast.
This man is a legend
100%
“I’m so sick of Pops! What do you want for them?”…LOL.
Haha the crazy thing is I broke even on them already, they are still selling just not at the level they were a couple of years ago.
Great video!! He is awesome I can watch this video a thousand times thanks for sharing
It was a crazy fun day, hopefully I can capture more fun days like this.
Ohhhh that ASM box… drool!
Yeah that box was amazing.
He's such a character... absolutely fuckin bizzaro character...but a character none the less!! I GOTTA meet this cat!! His energy is off the charts!! Straight up MANIC!! He's a blast just to WATCH!!!
He is always a blast to buy from.
@@pop-comics dude I can imagine!!!

Sean, "yeah yeah yeah!"
Mike, "yeah yeah yeah!"
Billy, "yeah yeah yeah!"
Sean, "so you're temporarily collecting these." 😂
Mike put a short box next to the pops box after you agreed on price. He tries to direct your attention to anything and everything FOR SALE.~Master Salesman!
⚡💥🎉
Can you imagine Mike cast in a new Batman movie as The Creeper? Or a new Joker or Two Face? He's got the look and gift of gab, for sure!
He is great at selling lol, but he throws amazing prices at me that I cant help myself. He makes it easy to buy from him.
Watching along as I go to the yard sale 😂
Super cool I love how Meta that is.
Wow! What video! I’d love to come & pick through those boxes!!! 😮
Yeah there were a ton of sweet comics there.
I’m watching this now on my tv and had to pull it up on my phone just to say, WOW. What an unbelievable character. He’s the best. I’m wound up just watching. I would die to get an opportunity to dig and buy like this. Dream scenario. We don’t have this in CO.
Buying from Mike is always a crazy whirlwind of an experience that I absolutely enjoy. You will be seeing more of him and the stuff he has for sale on this channel.
Mike is quite a character!
Yeah he really is, which makes it really fun to wheel and deal with him.
Orange shirt guy 👍🏻👍🏻 awesome energy ,,sniff the shit outa them comics 😂
Haha yeah you know someone loves comics when the first thing they do is give it a good sniff.
What do you mean, you're sick of Funko Pops?! 😄 I pick up any Funko Pop that's $6 or less. Of course I have too many now. 😂 Mike is really fun, I love to see the enthusiasm. 👏 OMG the cigarette machine. I love it! That is a true gem.🤯
I have just bought and sold so many and they barely sell now so they are not as much fun anymore. The vending machine was amazing.
Lots of crazy stuff. Not sure how one could ever sort it all out. I'm sure there is a lot of treasure to be found.
I think he just buys and sells buys and sells and who ever buys it gets to sort it haha But yeah an amazing amount of treasure comes through his hands.
Mike Carbo Rocks !
He does!
This guy reminds of Crazyyy Eddie....Insaneeeee!
I can see that!
That box with the Spideys on top was KILLER!!
Yeah that box blew me away.
Amazing stuff everywhere you look. Great video. Some amazing stories to listen to while you found great stuff was a bonus.
It is always a blast hearing Mikes stories and digging through all his boxes.
MOTT THE HOOPLE were an early influence of my favorite band,KISS!!
Cool info.
I like meeting guys like that when I'm book hunting they always give you awesome deals 👍
Yes! Tons of stuff for amazing deals is a dream.
Freaking amazing, could watch this all day
Yeah it is so much fun to dig through so many awesome treasures.
WOW..WOW..WOW…this is soooo KoOL…😁✌️
Definitely!
Awesome Video and Comics 🎉🎉
Thanks a bunch!
Loving these videos with Mike, awesome work!
They are a ton of fun to make.
hahaha that dude is a trip.
It always fun hanging out with Mike.
Man I’m exhausted just watching that lol. But Mike is awesome and I love watching your buying videos. I would have bought up that Hulk bulk box for my run. Those blackhawks were awesome too
The hulk box was great, I already have all of those from that era but figured id grab a few of each for the shop, they sell well in the $3-$4 range. Mike is always fun to wheel and deal with.
I would LOVE to experience a collection like this with the running narration from the owner! If this is it is setup in Queens I MAY have to cross the Border to the QBORO!
Yeah it was super fun to hang out with Mike and dig his books. The sale he was promoting in the video has passed but follow The Big Apple Comic Con on socials to keep up to date to when he will be doing future events etc.
What an insane pick through! I'm glad there are other Blackhawk collectors out there, and you got such a great deal!
Yeah Black Hawk is awesome, super underrated. Great art!
damn mott the hoople,....always like the song all the way from memphis and one of the boys,.....
Yeah, imagine experience music from the 1970s for the first time live. Crazy
I remember this eccentric dude. I would see him at Wizard World Chicago back in the day.
Yup he has been selling comics all his adult life. So if you been to any major show there is a good chance you have seen him.
Michael Carbonal is a character. I've seen him at shows on the west coast since the 1980's.
Yeah hes been buying and selling for decades!
I wish this was posted yesterday, cause then I could squeeze in the trip to Queens before work. Pop, you mentioned you have a shop, where is it?
Yeah I was fighting youtube all day Friday, after uploading for 8 hours the file failed ugh so I had to try again and got it up Saturday morning. Next time I need to film a few days earlier.
Oh my shops called PopFuzz located in Williamsburg Brooklyn.
This was…intense. I think I would’ve needed to take some anxiety medication beforehand. 😂
Haha, I have high Anxiety in life, but this kind of thing is exactly how my Brain works so this actually is super fun and what I like to do. Yes I was overwhelmed but found my way through the crazy fun.
love it when you hit the road...love your other vids too, but these are special treats :)
Definitely! Billy is helping me get to more places so I can do more videos on the road.
This is awesome!
It really is!
LOved Mike SHOWCASE rundown. We Collector's... Our Brains are crammed with such interesting facts...!!
Yeah super fun indeed!
🤘❤️🤘
Mike is hilarious, I met him in Orlando at a comic book show. This is not an act. He is JUST LIKE this in person.
Yup he is like this all day long haha
Hi, This gentleman is amazing. Cool collection. He somewhat reminds me of a person I used to know who passed away. The person I knew would sell stuff from his home because of his health he couldn't set up at Conventions anymore. Some of us collectors with vintage stuff run out of space. Person I knew had a packed house. His family trashed it after he passed away. Didn't want to bother with going through the stuff.
That is a bummer! They needed to find a dealer that would take it all for a fair price.
@@pop-comics Hi, Yes they should have. Before he passed I got to go see him and buy some treasures from him. He dealt mostly in Movie Memorabilia.
Hi, He worked in a movie theater when he was young. I got a theater chair that had wrought iron gilded legs. Someone made it into a patio table for me.
Getting that end-of-the convention feeling. Take Care Sean!! Gotta a fish TWO Now....!!)
Love these types of videos. More!!!
More to come! I love filming videos like this.
MIKE IS THE BACKGROUND IN Comics 💭 IF YOU KNOW YOU KNOW.
That is true!
I HAD those AUrora Drac and Mummy kits!!
They are really neat!
Nice haul, expensive though
Yeah, lots of pricey books in his hands. He ends up giving me great deals at least, hence why I keep going back.
I thought your thumbnail was another AI generated one 😂. Great video!
Crazy when realife almost looks fake lol But that is how crazy the garage is.
Forest Hills? Maybe you'll meet Peter Parker....!!
Maybe!
Wow 😮those aurora model kits Dracula and wolf man and original with box, I’d run and get those if only I could. That’s what you call a collector haha
Yeah those were amazing, next time if he still has them I will grab them.
Carbo has some serious STYLE. You should do another two-hour video digging through his van. The Inhumans #5 was a great get…but I’m more envious of all those Cherry Poptarts!
I think he was loading the van with things I wanted to put out in the garage sale ha. Yeah the Cherry run was great.
I got my lucky charms and pikes coffee I'm ready love these guys
Fun morning time entertainment.
Oh boy!! Got roped into ANOTHER marathon...!!
I am keeping you busy
Why PLastic Man ? First Great series second Jack Cole was born RIGHT HERE!!
Thought I'd take a break off The Marathon...!!
Enjoy!
Mike should put all of these stories in a book...!! I'd grab one!!Early COMICS JOURNALS had TONS of Interviews....!!
Yeah I think his life needs to be recorded some how
I’ve never seen or even heard of anything like this in Houston
New York is crazy full of comics. Also mike has been a dealer since the 1970s, so not a common thing in general to have someone buying and selling books that long.
I would love to buy some of the books he is showing😊
He has some great stuff!
Carbo has seen and done it all in this hobby
That is for sure and he still having a blast in the world of comics today.
while its always fun to see something like this cause you dont know what you will find. It hurts me as a collector to see this all stacked on top of each other and buried away in a garage that can cause damage to all these great books
Its a lot of stuff for sure, but he buys and sells so most of the time its only temporary in that state until he can find someone who wants it for their collection.
@@pop-comics that’s good to hear then.
All my $$$ money would be going into those 2 Silver/ Bronze boxes...!!
Yeah those boxes were amazing.
white wine with fish always
Apparently that is correct haha
