Fyi, I've dropped my CRF300l twice into a low-side on hard-packed dirt roads. The contact points were the end of the hand guard, pegs, and front tire. No damage to bodywork or otherwise. My broken left foot took the worst of it.
God Trex is soooooo fucking smart for partnering with Jake on this. I hope Jake got compensated well for this because I imagine these 300L videos getting millions of views over the next decade and T Rex will be front and center right on all that free advertising. I have T Rex crash bars on my Concours 14 and love them. Super easy to install
Which rear sliders did you use? I don't see any listed under the 250l/300l category, only front & frame. I do see rear sliders for the 250R, PN N103R, is this the one you used for your 300l? Thanks
Your "jam nut" is a pinch screw. Nuts go on the end of screws and bolts. The only difference between a screw and a bolt is that a bolt's shaft is only partially threaded. I used skate board wheels for my axle sliders. They have already come in handy a few times.
You need to flip your flag around. The stars should be on the upper left side of the flag when hanging vertically. Like how easy the axle sliders install.
T Rex Racing doesn't have the rear slider on their website and when I called them they claimed they decided not to design one for the rear because the axle isn't hollow. They confused the heck out of me with that one, I mean what am I looking at here then? They must have been mistaken or something, idk.
They replied my comment on their video and cleared everything up. The rear axle sliders are in production but not on the site yet, I assume they're just still low in quantity.
What do you recommend for breaking in my brand new CRF300L? Finally got it after waiting a month for shipment. P.s. thank you so much for the helpful videos!
@@TheGardenSnake Thanks for the reply, I went and watched those videos today. Change the oil how soon? I assume before the 600mi service, that just seems like a long time for metal flakes to hang out in there. This is my 1st motorcycle, I apologize if I'm asking silly questions.
@@TheGardenSnake yep , got the website and can find front axle sliders but can’t find rear axle sliders for CRF300L…. Or is it the same as another model

Ouch, hope you get well soon
300L is really coming together. Thanks for sharing, Jake!
wow, the dork man cometh. shouldn't be shocked i guess, but still am.

well i imagine the compensation was likely the free parts and maybe some cash.

The bars are taped at the factory. The 300l rally has bar weights that screw in and the 2 bikes use the same handlebars
Great video, just ordered a set of handguards for my 300L rally
When you see a rider that thin on a trail you know it's time to turn around.
The CRF 300 Barkbusters are great!

I don’t see rear axle sliders for the 300l on the tree website. Will the ones for the 250r fit?
"I don't always fly over my handlebars. But when I do, I let go."
Thanks Jake for making your motorcycle videos
Thanks for watching them Ben
"Crf 300 bolt shit on series im gonna turn a wrench that makes me a customiserrrrrrrrrrrrrr"
Thanks Jake! I appreciate all the good information.
No problem
Perfect timing one of mine just broke off my last ride and I been looking for a different brand

0:16 Still got surprised!!
Are you saying the CRF300L Bark Buster guards don’t fit properly?

It’s been 5months and they still don’t have any rears 😒
Just was in a crash where someone ran a stop sign and hit me, can confirm my handguards did not break my wrists when I did a cartwheel over the bars.
You alright
I just DELETED the whole ABS system. It was easy.... haha check it out www.patreon.com/posts/abs-delete-edit-56697470
I’m “like” #69… giggity ! Have a good one jake, as a Crf250l owner I’m loving this series 👌

Oh I've got a few videos on break in, it makes people mad haha. Just have fun with it and change the oil.

Hello, what levers do you run on this 300???
Brake lever is factory, just cerakote. The clutch is an RSC system.
@@TheGardenSnake thank you sir 🫡
When I grow up I want to be like you lol
Crazy?
Axle sliders on a offroad bike ?? That's a new one for me, I guess you avoid riding in deep dirt ruts 😂🤣😅
Why does the skeleton have a nip on
Gonna keep stock bars?
NO
I just wanted to ask a question, how high is the mt 07 is it like tenere 700?
Well mine is slightly taller but mines not normal
@@TheGardenSnake ohh thanks i would like to do something like that to go on adventure riding, so thank you a lot 😅
The goon guards add weight and cost more than a lever.
Plus you look like a goon who runs into people all the time.
Almost like timing a muzzle brake lol
It’s actually a set screw not a jam nut
I've heard a rumor on the C2W discord that Smort Helmet Industries started an Instagram account. Just saying Jake....
Jake stole my sliders bruh?
Please don’t tell me people pay shops to install those two items

As a european I have heared a myth that all the freedom drains out of the flag when you hang the USA flag like that. Is this true?
