Can voach for my 6 yr old niece. Reads at a 3rd grade level, and during December, she bought an Advent Calendar with her own money. She knows you're supposed to open only one each day, but she realized since she bought that herself, she didn't have to wait to open them, so she opened all of them in one day. 😅
There was also a POV in Sister Krone's room on her first night when she was talking to herself (and her baby). The POV seemed to be in a vent on the floor. I'd guess that was Phil, and why he was so suspicious of her from the get go.
Also in the library they said he might’ve been behind the ladder but there also was a vent POV looking at Emma and the others which means the vents might all connect and the only people who could fit in the vents are the little kids, but it is more likely to be Phil since he was scared of krone after the night the vent POV happened
Also in episode 3 when Emma Phil and the other girl was hiding, Emma carried all of them so there was no need for the kids to run out of stamina, but Phil was still sweating while krone was searching, the girl was normal just covering her mouth, but Phil acted as if it was a real escape

Hey, can you tell me what he talked about Phil in a Quicker way? Because I can't see the whole 22 minutes video bc English isn't my first language so I may not understand.
Phil looks up at Isabella in the Anime burning house scene because the both know that they both know. He was concerned about Emma & Ray and the others that ran away. Phil is smart so he knew she’d chase after them. When she returns he looks at her because he wants to know what happened in which she responds. They all made it safe.
Lol I'm wonder if since I'm learning perspective and being more attuned to small details when drawing ...if I would've notice these details...but 2 l8 can't wait for S2.
The creators made it a point that at least for a while she was evil it wasn’t the fact that she was shipping the kids it was her manipulative nature while the kids had the strength in numbers her card was to play mind games with them and slowly break them down like krone said she could have easily shipped them out once they knew but she didn’t which further explains her love for them but also how she made it a game at the same time she even went so far as to break emma’s leg and completely throw ray off into a loop which is why her character was so interesting the potential and tendencies of a villain but also the heart of loving mother
@@sleep4life812 he wasn't really set up to do much, i won't spoil you but for the next 2/3 season it will be only the perspective of the kids who got outside and not those who remained

I did it to survive, longer than anyone else...." -Isabella "Are you happy, mom?" -Norman
9:50 I hadn't noticed that detail. When he says "this says 'run!'" it's a picture of a boat, pretty obviously not him just being proud of himself that he read a word. He was the one who cracked the morse code, not Emma.
MegaChickenfish there might be a secret there. Maybe to “run” means that to run from the demons they must find a boat because the demons might be unable to pass through water based on the boat pic
Maybe means that the picture of the boat and it can be called ship that they're gonna be 'shipped' and must 'run' or they must run because they're gonna be shipped Sorry for the bad English
It's very possible that Phil had that same ability as Ray when they were infants. And then he put the pieces together himself, leaving Morse code for the older kids to figure it out. Phil knew the position he was in very well and took advantage for his age. What a smart little cookie.
The moment I met gaze with Phil, I knew he was destined for greatness. His smile, the look in his eyes, he knows everything. I always knew that there more to our king Phil.
@Nagito Komaeda phil could have been writen as literally anything else, he could be dumb, cold, or dead inside, he's still a fictional character, so stop thinking you are stupid just because a person who doesn't and never existed is overwhelming you actually, you are quite dumb tbh....
Phil is the greatest character. He seemed so naive, but he is so smart, which is a great thing for him. That gives him the upper hand, plus he can help the escape in two years. Even if the group doesn't come back for them, Phil got it in the bag. Phil, is so brave. Knowing that he has the potential to die, but he still chooses to be left behind. He is the key for the next group of kids to escape. I NEED a season two and three. I NEED it, I love this anime. It is my all time favorite. The rush, the strategies(That I wouldn't even think of), the camera shots, the detail. Its nothing that I've ever seen before.
Wasn't Phil the one who told Isabella that another child went missing? And Isabella took out that tracker-thing. What if Phil was trying to hint at Norman, Ray, and Emma, that something was going on with the tracker-thing? What if the younger-kids were acting so that The older-kids might have a clue of what the tracker thing was? I SPILLED MY TEA ON MY KNEE AND IT BURNS- Edit: My knee is okay and I found out "Tracker-thing Kun" is called a radar. Edit 2: Nevermind, the person who told Isabella was Mark. Holy shit this show is so much deeper and creepier than I thought. just the thought that Everytime we saw those camera angles and thought that's really creative we were just watching from creeper POV thats kinda terrifying
Isn't it weird that these kids are like not scared that you are about to be sold off to Demons if I were six and I knew that I would be genuinely terrified. like-
When our mother used to scare us as 7yo kids by telling us we were gonna get captured by the police, we'd plan an escape that involved using our toys as weapons if ever she was telling the truth, but then I'm just laughing at that now because those toys couldn't make a dent on anything hence useless.
If Tanya from Military Records/Saga of Tanya The Evil and Natsuki Subaru from Re:zero got reincarnated into Promised. then hands down they would be Sherry and Phil respectively.
I’m literally balling with the fact that they didn’t take Phil. He knew what would happen if he stayed and he’s still there. And I have a feeling he won’t be apart of season 2. They’ll probably focus on the ones who escaped and not the ones left.
I'm calling it right now... Phil is the "The One" or "Him" or is connected somehow to Him. Phil might be the demon king. When the demons are talking around the table about preparing the harvest for Him/The One. The demon hieroglyphics are only 4 long and closely looks like it says Phil or translated to Phil in the manga chapter 005-007. But hey that's just my theory. That boy is way to smart for 4 and demons crave the brain/intelligence. Possibly why Phil is so smart at such a young age or.... what his age/appearance appears to be.
Did you read the manga? I finished the manga and I hate to break it to ya but I just wanna say... you got it wrong but ur comment's still interesting tho
Some reason I feel like he is the demon god because in the manga the demon god is very short like Phil and helps Emma Ray and all the other kids find a way
I’m so sad that he didn’t appear that much, not even later on in the manga... they build him up to be so super important, but didn’t give him a side story 😔 (exception to that one chapter where you insights to the kids left behind)
I noticed because the point of view and screen time is important too if they have a lot of screen time it implies there’s something important or the character is important in some way
i noticed something with the episode that norman got shipped out, thoma and lanni's reactions of 'so suddenly?' and how they glanced immediately at each other. i didn't notice it until i rewatched it but damn. shows that have so much subtle detail that you have to rewatch it over and over to be able to see them are fucking amazing.
When I first watched the anime, I always suspected someone was watching them from those odd angles in the bushes and in other places. I never expected it to be cute innocent Phil 😭😭😓🤧
When I was watching the show I kept thinking: Phil is different and pretty smart, he is going to play a larger role than we expect. When it was revealed how smart he was I felt kinda smart. Then I remembered that he’s a four-year-old and I’d literally be the dumbest kid at gracefield lmao
I get perfect scores on my Grace Field tests and I still have to sing the alphabet to remember the placement of the letters too! Ray says that I'm dumb... =(
Lol me and my Brother joked while watching the anime that Phil was the mastermind behind the whole story. That he controlled the demons and the orphanage, and that he was actually a super savage and intelligent super villain.
Bruh Phil better survive, the fact he possibly knew before the main characters about the secret of their world and is very smart as them show he deserves to have more screen time(plus he’s baby so no killing baby). Edit: I forgot to say that I’m a anime only, so I haven’t read the manga so try not to spoil me anything related to Phil from what we know in the anime.
Phil is such a heartbreaking character. It was already an awful burden for him to watch his siblings ship after the Grace Field escape, but now he's known ALL ALONG. He's been shouldering the emotional burden of so many people, on top of his own pain. Oof. Phil is best character, fuck you, fight me.
Okay so I’ve thought about this a lot after rewatching the anime: there was always those realllyyyy weird angles when the trio was talking about the escape plan, but I had always just brushed it off. Then when I rewatched it knowing about how smart Phil really was, I started to think that those angles were actually views from Phil’s perspective. This basically puts Phil at the center of the anime, even though he’s not really the main character. I’ve also always just felt like something was off about him, like he knew way too much already.
Faith-boos it would actually be cool if for one season the anime focused on Phil and his friends life and then either escaping on their own or Emma and Ray coming to save all of them
I think that Phil and Sherry looked at each other (13:21) because, if the theory that Phil has known the secret before Emma, Norman, and Ray is true, he would most likely tell Sherry this secret to make her aware. So with this theory in mind, he knows what failure on the test means, and again, he most likely told Sherry this. If he and Sherry knew what it means, then they probably looked at each other when Emma got a perfect score because since they knew this secret, they were relived that Emma was safe. Like the video said, it would also make sense why Phil was the most stressed out of them all during this test because he knew that failure would mean "punishment." Him being stressed out wouldn't make sense since he's one of the smartest, so it would only make sense why he was so visibly stressed out if he knew the secret to these tests. Thank you for your time.
"The trick to being smart, is knowing when to play dumb" exactly defines phil and sherry all along

I'd guess that was Phil, and why he was so suspicious of her from the get go.
sister krone is pretty sus
Also in the library they said he might’ve been behind the ladder but there also was a vent POV looking at Emma and the others which means the vents might all connect and the only people who could fit in the vents are the little kids, but it is more likely to be Phil since he was scared of krone after the night the vent POV happened
Also in episode 3 when Emma Phil and the other girl was hiding, Emma carried all of them so there was no need for the kids to run out of stamina, but Phil was still sweating while krone was searching, the girl was normal just covering her mouth, but Phil acted as if it was a real escape

Maybe means that the picture of the boat and it can be called ship that they're gonna be 'shipped' and must 'run' or they must run because they're gonna be shipped
Sorry for the bad English
it's me Youo this is a manga, Japanese, so if the word ship would translate to shipped in Japanese, that’s make sense
It's very possible that Phil had that same ability as Ray when they were infants. And then he put the pieces together himself, leaving Morse code for the older kids to figure it out. Phil knew the position he was in very well and took advantage for his age. What a smart little cookie.
That's what got out of it when I watched...I'm like Phil knows what's going on he's Ray jr...

I’m literally balling with the fact that they didn’t take Phil. He knew what would happen if he stayed and he’s still there. And I have a feeling he won’t be apart of season 2. They’ll probably focus on the ones who escaped and not the ones left.
He can help the next generation of kids
Don't worry, he went to the other side
This is why Phil is the bestest boy. He's so complex and plot twisty it honestly impresses me every time.
Phil is fucking genius to conserve his feeling and terror in just 4 years old. Truly genius!
Sounds legit
Did you read the manga? I finished the manga and I hate to break it to ya but I just wanna say... you got it wrong

i like how everyone getting theories on phil but me the manga reader is like, okay sure.
Some reason I feel like he is the demon god because in the manga the demon god is very short like Phil and helps Emma Ray and all the other kids find a way
Nah he ain’t. In fact he actually suffers from the loneliness without Emma and the rest of em
I’m so sad that he didn’t appear that much, not even later on in the manga... they build him up to be so super important, but didn’t give him a side story 😔 (exception to that one chapter where you insights to the kids left behind)

Stop making me laugh 😂😂
