Digging the Mall runner, the logo down the side is a great touch. I don’t know how much more scale you can make a Mall crawler look but you nailed it !!!
My Gladiator build is similar including the CCH bumpers, etc. I cut out the window tint on the 2 front doors & the windshield to better see the interior, which I detail painted, added a pup & a more scale drivers head amputated from a 7" figure. Plan to add the Axial Tuff Stuff OL kit & some PE door hinges painted body color. Great job, love the graphics!
I really like this series that you did about the Gladiator. I liked it so much I went and got the Jeep for my self. Your mod. are Great!! I will put a lot of the mod you have done here on my Jeep. I am just getting back in R/C Truck now because of what you did here with the Gladiator. I Hope that you will make a Stage 4 very soon. Like a aluminum roof rack and light bar, Better shocks, we also need a canoe 19 Inc. long to put on the roof rack of course. Mabey cut down the driver side window to make it look like the window is down 3/4 of the way. PS. I also like the photo editing video that you are doing for the viewers, Great Ida and you are doing a Great job there also. Thanks for your commitment and your Video's specially the one on the Gladiator.
The only thing missing is the SBG driver, I think it would be a great touch to put some Abercrombie and Fitch gear on your driver or maybe a nice Holister hoodie as this is a mall crawler and those two brands would be fitting. That is a fantastic looking build, as always your attention to detail is outstanding!! Thank you for always putting out amazing content, during these somewhat boring days stuck at home you have been a beacon of entertainment for all of us tiny truckers!!!
A build this good needs a really good video. Lucky for the gladiator, the best videographer in the hobby also happens to be its builder! Nice build, Matt! Always fun seeing what you come up with.
I found your video to say I just got the tuff stuff kit for my Gladiator with SSC fishing pole, water jug, cooler, storage bin & 2 sleeping bags so mine will be loaded down for a trip to the mall lol 😆👍
Knocked it out of the park! Great job on the vinyl work! Nice overland kit from Axial, but my Knight Customs JT kit is already printed and mounted on mine! Love the look of the VP axles! They are my need list!
Hey Matt, you need to rotate the right-front headlight, it is sitting crooked on the bezel ! 😲 Simply thought I would point that out, not trying to be over-critical, but it bugs me. Did you notice !?? 😉
They make this stuff for painting table top minis that is just basically super thin black paint that can make creases pop that i think would do wonders weathering the axe handles.
Love the upgrades!! Only thing I didn't care for is how the rear bumpers sitting below the body (the gap ) they didn't design it in a way to sit flush it appears ?
That rig is looking super cool! I think you need to take it to the mall for a quick run around the parking lot. Your camera really didn't like the color of those sand ladders at first.
AWESOME Mall Crawler Matt!!! 👍👍 Even looks like it CAN go Off Road too. Totally digging those FAT Manly Tires!! And of course, all your touches and details... Beautiful!!! 👊💯😊 Carmine ✈🚂🚙
Alot of off-road overland/mall crawlers in my area all have oversized rims and low profile 'aggressive' tread tires. But like my buddy says 'yet he's the freak at the mall when he pulls up in his beat up k5 on 16 in rims and 44 in tires' lol.
I cant wait to see the trail video to thr mall. But you should def have smashed in quarters. Every trail ride ive been on where a JT was there, they either A: smashed in the quarter and or door in front of thr back tire, or B: they high centered... lol good times
I haven't gotten mines yet but the more stages the better until it's complete so by the time I get mines I should have most of what you added already 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Just found your channel. I recently picked up a SCX10 III, though looking at yours I think I'll have to park way back in the mall until I do some upgrades.
Great looking rig Matt really has the Mopar affect for "going to the mall" 🎼 grandma got run over by a Gladiator walking to her car at the mall, you can say their's no such thing as Mopar butt as for me & grandpa we believe...lol 😆 I couldn't resist, stage 4 huh it's your rig do whatever you want 😎👍
I’m definitely going to look into getting a Cricut now. Painting and masking it Hemistorm style is a real pain and I don’t have the patience he does. With over 5 hours into just the Gatekeeper side panels, and the roof and hood yet to mask off, a Cricut would save me a lot of headache.
Damn. Thats a great looking gladiator. Love those axles haha. Great over all style to that truck. I dont even think it needs much more. Its a great clean rig. As always man. Anazing work. Stage 4 should just be the trail run haha. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ as always. 👍👍😎
Such a good looking truck right out of the box....now it's next level for sure. Looking forward to the first video of it out on the trails. I have a shiny new red Gladiator too and upgrades arriving daily in the mail. Can't wait to get to work on mine. :-)
I would love to get one of these but they are soooo expensive in Poland :( I think tyres are a litle bit to big for this truck. 37" will fit better in my opinion and a little bit of wider track will give super agresive look to it :)
Did you ever take this truck out and do a run with it or was it just for show? Can't find the video if you did? By the way great build i hope to start mine soon!..
To make this the Ultimate Mall crawling grocery getter I think you need a overlanding trailer so you can get 16 month supply of groceries in the back LOL. Looks amazing
What would I do next... get another JT body (might need two for the bed), shorten the cab to a 2 door, lengthen the bed, toss it on a JL chassis (or any 12.3 wheelbase chassis) with the straight axle conversion kit, and have a class 2 J6 concept replica.
@@scalebuildersguild yeah, i can admit it looks horrible as often as it looks good. But id suspect with your expertise, you could make it look good. I'm more of a dirty wash, then remove all you can, so it's more of a subconscious hint of a shadow.
Hey! Love the videos. I have been watching all your SCX10 III content. I’m really torn on buying either a base camp or a gladiator to get into rock crawling. Looking for a good RTR to maybe down the road mod. What are your thoughts on the best place to start. Already have spectrum smart batteries as well from my basher Thanks!
@@scalebuildersguild do you think the dig and longer wheel base of the gladiator are worth it? I love the look of the gladiator, but I can’t help but think the light base camp with a different body or cut up like you did yours may be a awesome setup for scale trail and some of the crawling yards around
@@MattskiAdventures The Gladiator and it's features are cool for sure, but if you're looking to tinker or change things in the future, the Basecamp is the better buy!
@@scalebuildersguild thanks for all of the quick reply’s! As much as I want the gladiator everyone seems to say go base camp. I think you helped make my decision. Going to order a crawler soon. Thanks again! Love the content!
Awesome mall crawler you never know when you have to get out in a hurry
Stage 4 definitely, the trailer and accessories would make it a package
Totally the coolest build ever! I would add a roof top light bar. Who doesn't love a jeep?
It might be a stretch, but I'd really like the rooftop tent to pop up when you're at the mall!
Yes 👍.
Its tough to make a fold out/up tent, just got done with one for my car and it took a while just for the fabric, not including the frame.
Those lines do get pretty long lol
Digging the Mall runner, the logo down the side is a great touch. I don’t know how much more scale you can make a Mall crawler look but you nailed it !!!
That’s a very nice accessory kit, agreed that painting it black tones it down nicely. 😁👍🏼
The gray just didn’t look right to me for some reason!
You need a lot more anodized red, just like the real one in my neighborhood. Makes it much easier to find in the mall parking lot.
My Gladiator build is similar including the CCH bumpers, etc. I cut out the window tint on the 2 front doors & the windshield to better see the interior, which I detail painted, added a pup & a more scale drivers head amputated from a 7" figure. Can tell you’ve been sitting on this with the rc/pc rig not painted yet.. lol gladiator looking good for the mall crawl shootout
I enjoy your video. I just got the RTR Gladiator SCX10 3 and enjoying it. I am doing some upgrades. I will post some photos when done.
Painting the door seams woukd have added more realism I think. Great build.
Thanks for watching!
I found your video to say I just got the tuff stuff kit for my Gladiator with SSC fishing pole, water jug, cooler, storage bin & 2 sleeping bags so mine will be loaded down for a trip to the mall lol 😆👍
Pick me up a Cinnabon while you're at the mall 😂.

A stroll through the mall on the first of the month would be a classic RUN VIDEO!

Great work Matt, I'm always amazed with the level of detail you put into your trucks, small details = big impact 👍
Continued epic output, thank you ✌😁
Add roofrack & scale goodies, you get
thirsty...at the Mall: tailgating extras 👌

Man , I get to the end of the video and see them axles , absolutely Awesome .
Glad you like them!
I think that you should put a roof light bar on it and maybe if you can print it out a couple of spotlight on the sides by the mirrors are!
Needs "POP UP, UP AND DOWN HEADLIGHTS!!!"
Those bumpers are super accurate.
i modified my gladiators gearbox a little, now with 2WD / 4WD option, also with Drive/Neutral option for reving with sound module on neutral ;)

Missing a sound system, but a really nice build, looking forward to stage 5 when finished.

Running video next! Also, obviously YES to Stage 4.
Is there a Stage 4 or running video? I better search again in case I missed it.

Great job on your build.
Looks killer!!!
Love your Jeep Gladiator!!!
Looks very sharp
Definitely need a stage 4
Where did you get the "GLADIATOR" for the tailgate? I am building a Gladiator to match my 1:1. Thank you! Great build!
9:10 you forgot to say to the mall! lol.
Love the tuff stuff kit, very disappointed that Horizon don't post to Australia.
Graphics look great, loving this build, man I have to find a way to get me one, a 1 tob1 would be absolutely fantastic as well.
Cool looking rig!
those are some HUGE tires
As usual great build and video you really do add something to the sport I get a lot of great ideas from your videos love it.
I would love to get one of these but they are soooo expensive in Poland :( I think tyres are a litle bit to big for this truck. 37" will fit better in my opinion and a little bit of wider track will give super agresive look to it :)
Shouldn't it have a sound module so one can idle aggressively when waiting at the mall? 🤔
What would you think about and overlander roof rack?
Looks awesome looking forward to the running videos 👍
Did you ever take this truck out and do a run with it or was it just for show? Can't find the video if you did? By the way great build i hope to start mine soon!..
MALL CRAWLING AT ITS FINEST 💯
Spare wheel and tire in the bed? On like a 30ish degree mount like baja / koh
That things looking awesome 🤘👍 SBG decal on all my scale rigs
When you print your own parts what type of filament do you use ABS? Want to start to print my own. Need tips and what to use
I use simple PLA, not as bad off-gassing as ABS.
Add a scale orange Julius cup and a Cinnabon bag. Then you'd be a true Mall Crawler.
To make this the Ultimate Mall crawling grocery getter I think you need a overlanding trailer so you can get 16 month supply of groceries in the back LOL. Looks amazing
may you do an update on the trx 4 sport with the umg body , thanks great video
Good work please stage 4
Yes, do a stage 4!
Isn’t stage 4 to paint it Gray and pull Harley’s California plates on it?🤣🤣
Great video as usual. Can’t wait for the run video at the mall
I love this thing and this little series
Yes ALL THE STAGES!
Looks great like always
"let's go to the mall" Robin Sparkles.
Do you know it's a rough ride to the mall👍👍👍
Yeah, them curbs are pretty steep. lol.

Are you going to add a little shadowing in the seams around the doors and hinges?
Perhaps. I'm not always a fan of how that looks.

Old video now, but still watched it again 🙂 I'm just wondering what is happening with the gap to the rearbumper? 🙂
Beats me, I sold this truck ages ago. Sorry!
@@scalebuildersguild It's okay 🙂 Was just wondering 😉
Really like this truck, great mods!
Yes!!! Been waiting for this one! Now I'm going to the mall....
So if you had to choose between the two, would it be the JT or the JL?
JL. A little less wheelbase is a lot more versatile. They’re both great and easy to customize though!
Maybe add the RC4wd ARB fridge/freezer. I picked one up for mine.
Now I’m wondering if I could but that roof top thing on my deadbolt
I can’t look at racks anymore after watching that live video today 🤣
Where did you get those kits
Which Cricut do you have. I thought about getting one to make paint masks with.
Explore Air 2.
Great Looking Jeep Pick-em-up truck
Do you happen to know if that RTT would fit in the Trailrunner roof rack? :)
Sorry sir, no idea. Don't have the Trailrunner body handy any more.
@@scalebuildersguild No worries. Thats a sweet accessory package! That is by far the cleanest and nicest Gladiator Ive seen yet. Very nicely done.
I’m ready for stage 4!
What model cricut machine do you have? Gotta get me one.
Scale Mall backdrop to put behind it on the shelf.
Where can I get those fenders with light system? Thanks in advance and thumb up for your channel 👍🏻👍🏻
All the links are in the description.
@@scalebuildersguild thanks but sorry I am not so familiar with TH-cam... where can I find the description?
Right below the video.
