Should have tested the ridgid with cables connected to the 12V car battery also for a apples to apples comparison. Obviously the small 2Ah battery will be slower by a large margin, but the 12V cable power will narrow the difference I would think.

The rigid has a more powerful battery 18v instead of 12v. For same amperage draw and capacity 18v will win every time that is why I tested the rigid with a fully charged 18v battery. the amperage draw on the gobege is much higher (advertised 40amps) than the rigid and based on how quickly the rigid battery is drained as well. We can conservatively assume based on the time my 2Ah battery drains (after about 20min of use) that the rigid draws about 3-5amps. Unless the rigid battery was nearing complete discharge it would run slower across the board on 12v vs 18v but the rigid still had 75% charge at the end of the test. I definitely think we would see worse results on 12v

This is not to say the rigid is a bad choice. I have been very happy with it but it has limitations because of how it’s designed to run on around 5amps
