Do the long machines give you trouble at Hatfield McCoys? I sold my Maverick XXC and need a 4 seater for grandkids. We ride Hatfield McCoy a couple times a year. I’m not sure whether to go RMax4, Commander 4 seater or KRX4
The length Really didn’t give much trouble. The rmax4 is a nice machine as is the krx4. For Hatfield green/blue trails really can’t go wrong with either one! That said I’d probably go with krx4 though if it was me. The rmax tends to get hung up a little easier and a little more tippy on the rocky trails if you plan to hit any black/double blacks.
@@rebelsoffroadwe only hit occasional black diamonds
Did you say this place is in Gore Va. ? As in next to Winchester?
@@smity7096 yup! About 30min from Winchester
Good looking riding! 😮
It was awesome! 😎
Poor demo
What would you have liked to see?
🤗🙏🏆😎 Thank you for sharing this
You bet!
Great video. Helped a lot.Is there a way to connect 2 cams? Would like to connect rear cam and front cam.
I am not sure. The cam I use is connected through WiFi so it would not be easy to do. Maybe there are other apps/ cam designed to run in pairs.
KRX is king of crawling!!💪💪💪
Will they check for insurance?
Nope!
Kawasaki hand's down
Getting it 3 wheel drive😂
Awesome!!!
Thanks for the video. Fixing to do this myself. Looking back on it, do you think that was the easiest way to do the transmission mounts? Anything you'd do different? I've been staring at it for a week now, looks like a job for sure. Wondering if you had to take all of the rear plastic off? Thanks again!
Get a tripod
Hey at 9 mins in through rest of the video. What area of the 3 was that? Looked like you start at huckleberry rock area first?
Yup! Huckleberry rock, north hill then around 5min is off coal haul road and then the rest is the Potomac River section 🤙
@@rebelsoffroad thank you!
Which trail did you come from to go up 29? 10 or 40
We came up 10 from the main trailhead
would say this place is worth a 4 hour drive?
Depends on what you like. I probably would not do 4hrs for it because I could go to BFR, or Hatfield in around that but I like the super technical hard stuff and there isn’t a lot of it there. It’s a very pretty park and there are enough scenic trails to keep you busy for about a day and a half I’d say. if you like that I’d say it’s worth it!
did you guys come off trail 14? to start?
We came in on trail 17 to start 94 it starts at the intersection of 14 and 17 though. Then we took 34 to 30 back down the mountain to hit 95 going up
Y'all just make me want a KRX more
😂 well they are a great machine
Enjoy your videos thanks for sharing equipment information like tire size and brand could you let know info SXS brand maybe year thanks again
Thank you for watching! Most of these are Kawasaki KRXs 2020-2023s would be the year. Not much has changed on them during that time. Ron has a canam X3 in not sure the year. Most of us have 35” maxxis Rockzillas tires. John had 35” system3 xtr370 tires I think someone was running stock 31” carnivores.
That man is an excellent spotter!
Thank you sir 💪🤙 we try lol
That seems to be a common kit with a few variations out there. I got the one with the extra L/R wires to put blinking indicators on the dashboard. Also had a regular turn lever/horn/emergency flasher button for the steering wheel like a regular car instead of rocker switches. Super easy project. Had to install kit to make street legal for DoT regulations.
Yes it’s not that complicated to make so I can see where there would be a lot of similar kits out there. I like the price point of this one but I’ve thought about adding the in the cab indicators I think that would definitely be worth a little more $$
I love Best Places I'm living in West virginia
Another good one. 92 never disappoints !!
Thanks Scott! 92 definitely was a good time!
what are you doing ? why? so stupid.
lol it’s not gonna kill you relax liberal
Great video thanks
No problem 🤙
Been watching ROOT Off-road and here they are in your videos. 😂
ROOT is a good group! Happy they made it out to our subscriber ride. We had a blast!
@@rebelsoffroad looked like a great ride.
Do you have to Hotspot your phone when your on trails for music
No I have Spotify so I just download the music I want to play before I leave then I don’t need service to play
3 years late to the party, but thinking of adding some clearance to my '22 Brute since it sits too damned low for riding out here in the Rockies (constantly bangs on rocks, high centers in snow, puddle splashes get in the CVT air intake even riding slow, etc. etc.) Any idea if arched a-arms will conflict with shields? I have some hefty ones paired with my skid plate to protect everything from the lovely bowling ball sized rocks we have for road base out here, and I would *think* that the arched a-arms going higher means it's a non issue. I don't think you all run skids from watching the install videos, but figured you may still have some insight from handling them and seeing the fitment first hand Cheers from Wyoming / Colorado
Hey man the arched aarms will definitely help give you some extra clearance. It was probably the biggest improvement I’ve made in my brute. I think you probably won’t have an issue with ur skids/shields but I’m really sure because we don’t use them.
Great video. I took your measurements to verify it would fit my Talon 1000x4 and it would. Great job dude.
No problem! Glad it helped!
How far forward are you able to move the diff? I can’t get the steering rack out.
Probably a good 6” or so. It’s a pain the first time getting the steering rack out. There’s a lot of thread locker on the bolts from the factory
@@rebelsoffroad I was able to move it forward and get the steering rack out. Thanks!
Add more threads ??
I could have used a die but it still would be that crappy soft metal
@@rebelsoffroad I literally just gone done tuning in my front end alignment by eye. I have a pretty good eye and tape measure and the tie rod are the only thing the previous owner upgraded and used the all balls setup and they work fantastic
I’ve got the brute performance billet tie rods and no complaints at all. Unfortunately they don’t offer them anymore but Great to see there are other options.
@@rebelsoffroad I was watching this video actually and paused it and went and checked there site. Makes since now why I couldn’t find them thank you.
No issue if you throw out the poor quality castle nuts they give you that only have 2 or 3 poorly cut threads and get proper ones.... also NEVER put the washers on the taper side, they go under nut if necessary.
I tried that on one side and it still loosened. There’s no matching taper on the steering stem side so it doesn’t matter it’s just clamping force. Honestly you should not have to do any “fixes” for an aftermarket tie rod that is supposed to be bolt on.
How is KRX4 on HM switchbacks?
We’ve rode with a few krx4s and my buddies x3 max which is even longer than the KRX4 they haven’t really had any trouble. H&M switch backs aren’t that bad with a little planning
Another great video !!!
Thank you Scott!
We were there at a cabin they rent out a few miles away. We stopped in to talk to the owner watched you put your tent up. We saw you on the trail, that's when I knew I had see you on yt.
Awesome 💪😎 thanks for watching!
Is the guy with the orange cage have 4wd problems ,notice he only had 3 wheels pulling??
I don’t think it was locked in at the time haha he did have some trouble with the diff the next day though. More on that in the coming videos!
Was seeing what I could do without it locked in front. It's also alot easier to steer with front diff disengaged in technical trails till really needed.
I learned today that you don't just cut a template - you also fit and mount it for best results.
I've never done that trail and been by it a dozen times. Nice stuff. 👍
Thank you! It’s a good trail you’ll have to try it!
@@rebelsoffroad I plan on it. Thanks for sharing the vid.
Sweet !! Ivy Is my favorite Hatfield trail system.
Mine too! 💪
That looks like fun! I didn't know those 4-wheelers could submerge in water. Is something special required for that? Something with the exhaust??
The exhaust is good as long as you don’t shut it off under water. The intake needs snorkles though
@@rebelsoffroad ok, cool, thanks for the reply!!!
Congratulation! Yeah nice shirt……
I won what do I need to do now hell yea
That shirt is BA. Definitely are style. Will be getting some for the families wardrobe. Lol.
We should have them up on our website this week! I’ll let you know when they are live
Nice.
Which trails did you do?
85 90 92 88 and 86 for the double blacks plus got redemption on a little side trail from last time and a bunch of black and blue connectors
@@rebelsoffroad awesome. Can't wait to see it. 👍👍
How'd you like 85?
We Loved 85 it was a little rough at the top lol
@@rebelsoffroad yes it was
How many miles you get out of your brake pads before you have to change them?
The oem ones not much at all. Maybe 400 miles but that was due to a lot of water riding and mud. Now that I’m in wv I have about 1k miles on a single set of pads.
Lockers baby
Have they opened anything new? I haven't been up there since November.
There are supposed to be a few new trails off the coal haul road near the north hill area. I think we accidentally ended up on some of them the last time we were there but we have not had a chance to hit them yet after they officially opened
@@rebelsoffroad yeah, if it's the same ones I'm thinking about, it was a handful of old log skidder trails that zig zagged around the hillside, but didn't go anywhere. I might go up this weekend and check it out.
I wish I'd had known you were going, I only live about a half hour away 😔
Make sure to put short end of shaft on drivers side. Dont ask how I know this!
Good tip!
