A lot of people don't know that the FX is on the same platform/chassis as the nissan 350z and g35. This is probably one of the best handling SUVs you can get, and to get either that VQ or V8 is absolutely amazing for both are wonderful engines. And some may call me crazy for saying this but I'd take this over the 350z or g35. I think it looks better, has a very beautiful style interior and was ahead of it's time. Also i think this was one of the best styling cars during the mid 2000s.
Yup, I have had the 2006 fx35 for years, hit a buck 2 years ago, then this year 2 months ago brought a 2006 FX45 AWD, easy to work on, keep up maintenance religiously and fast😂
Man I was waiting for someone to finally upload a video on one of these 😂 a full real actual pov drive at that, its only one other person, that just goes to show how rare these cars are. Amazing video
The fx35 sounds way faster than it goes. If an fx35 is fast asf then a honda odyssey minivan is also fast asf cause that suv is no faster than a minivan.
@@DMCarReviews I've got a M35 (not an X) alongside my 06 FX45. Its crazy how well designed the M is. Great video btw! I'll be releasing a video soon with a brief highlight of my slightly modified FX!
It is! Honestly, the quality isn't any worse than in a 2023 Dodge Charger. It runs like new. Wish I had a better road, I think I could have done a low 7s run on that FX45. It's 40-80 is very close to the RAV4 V6 and the Dodge Charger 5.7 AWD, which is so impressive.
My 2003 Acura MDX Touring with Navigation had a backup camera factory. The quality was clearly old technology but it’s the fact that it was available at that time.
wow i didn't know these came out over 20 years ago, i would have assumed this was from 2008 ish just seeing on on the road, that design definitely aged pretty well
Wow holy cow that’s one badass crossover, if this was in my area I would definitely love to have it other than a nice pickup truck down the road, because even though it’s a 2003 that’s super impressive I have always loved Infiniti my favorite luxury car brand of all time besides Acura, Cadillac, Audi, and Ferrari! 😁 Reason being: Infiniti is definitely a Nissan with the behavior of a Honda and Toyota mixed it’s the next best thing to a Genesis honestly, also V8’s from both Nissan and Infiniti are rock solid reliable you can’t kill them either they last forever and the interior is super nice for an Infiniti, I am not a huge Nissan guy or too keen on newer Infiniti’s but the older ones I do love a lot! 😁
Reminds me of my 1991 Infinity Q45 which I never should have sold. The FX in this video has a more advanced and powerful version of the 4.5 Liter V8 that was used in my old Q. I remember that engine was silky smooth and had a good amount of mid-range torque. (The Q45 was a direct competitor to the Lexus LS400 and was quicker and handled better). IMO most cars built in the late 90s through 2005 era were in their peak. Seems that since then cost cutting, and superfluous tech features have negatively impacted reliability as well as driving experience.
Yes love the Fx45, I have a 2006 FX45 AWD, muffler delete, and enjoy it, It’s my daily most times to work 45 mins to and from. It’s a gas hog😂😂but fun to drive, you don’t see Them a lot that’s why it’s rare😊it’s only a handful here in North Carolina
@@DMCarReviews yes it’s insane, and the thing is most of the officials usually go well over 15😭and can’t forget about the roads taking them centuries to work on lol
I have 2008 fx 35 i raced with grand Cherokee with v6 engine i beat him till 180km 😂 i didnt beilieve that his car model 2021 and he run afewer mile than me infinti acar born to last ❤ vq35hr is legendary engine in love with ❤️
FX series ware ahead of its time, very unique models and absolute beasts ❤❤

@@RenNakamura20 I agree! Way cooler than the 350Z/G35.
CUV not SUV. Definitely a trailblazer..

One of the best SUV designs ever, still looks amazing today.
I agree! It's an incredible SUV.
Looks ahead of its time!
Still looks amazing today
Incredible video ... Those older gen Infiniti hits harder than the new ones 😎😎
Thank you for watching! The FX was the best car Infiniti ever made, in my opinion.
My dad has a 2005 Infiniti fx35 and it is fast asf thank you for filming this
Of course! Thank you for watching.

@@basslover352 It's plenty fast
@@DMCarReviewsFast enough for daily driving/ a to b commutes. Not to compete with anything that actually is even slightly sporty.
@@basslover352 It's not really the car, it's the driver😉 You can drive an FX really fast.
This and the M45s of the Era were 😮💨👌
The M45 is an amazing car! I'd love to find an M35x and M45S to film.

Backup camera in 2003 is crazy! Also for almost 200k miles that thing seems solid!
