I bought my 04 Infiniti FX45 for $1000 yes for that price with 128k miles. I only did the wheel bearing. I am so happy! Its a steal price! The Dr who sold it to me was mpving to Italy the next day so he sold it to me for $1k. I put a straight pipe exhaust and sounds so nice. Been happy for a month now. Keeping it till it breaks!
I picked up a 2008 FX45 about 6 weeks ago. Its been great...went on 2200 mile round trip Florida to Delaware and back along the Blue Ridge Parkway for a bit and then back home. I have no issues and love its relatively unique appearance...only ting that looks dated is the 90's cell phone looking antenna...I can live with that. I like to hike bike and kayak and my 12yr old SUV gets me to the trail-head in style and comfort....even has navigation.
this car was way ahead of its time and the engine in the 45 is shared with Q45, but the car it based on the Nissan Z car and the Infiniti G, same wheel base in length and then ofcourse FX35 would share the VQ engine with the 350Z.
Great job kid! I'm planning to invest in an 06' 45 model next week, so this look into ownership from someone that claerly knows and appreciates quality makes me just that much more comfortable in purchasing such a seasoned car. I bought a 2004 FX35 in 2018, but wanted the V8, so last year I drove 980 miles to trade my V6 for the V8. I have a 2007 FX45 in sapphire blue metallic. It was in pretty rough shape when I bought it, but even in rough shape with 106k miles, it still became my favorite car 😂. I’m at 129k right now and love driving it. The sound is out of this world and I love it

I was thinking about trading my two vehicles in on a Genesis GV70, but I can’t part with the FX. It’s the only car I’ve ever had that I couldn’t sell because it’d hurt me too much to lose it
@@Official4x-iz9jc i’ve had a few issues. Had to replace The cam and crank sensors in 2020, and I had the alternator fail on me last year. Also had a cel for a bad fuel cap. Still runs like a bat out of hell at 130k miles. It was also abuse pretty hard by the previous owners and Ohio winters they used it in.

I currently daily drive one of these. I can confidently say I agree with everything you mentioned in the video. This car sounds amazing for stock exhaust and looks timeless. Mine is black and I also covered the chromes in black (chrome delete), including the grill, thereby making it all black down to the stock wheels. Everything on my car is stock. I have seen people staring a few times and strangers have told me how much they love my car. I have only had to change the brakes, front rotors and do the regular oil change. ( It consumes a lot of oil so oil change is more frequent than other cars I've owned. I'm wondering if you noticed this in your car as well). This is a very rare car, you will find the fx35 anywhere but not the 45. Sometimes I think I am the only fx45 owner in my city. Great video. subscribed.
@@BlackSlacksGarage I think the FX50s might be a worthy replacement. I personally dont think the 50 looks better though, not bad but definitely not better. However, considering it has more power and more refined ride and tech, one might reach a compromise. In my opinion, 2003 to 2008 was the best design of the series. Yes, i am cosidering the fx50 as a worthy replacement, but im not ready to let go just yet.
These where actually based off the g35 sedan. This is why they handle so good I have a 02 Q45 and I'm looking for a fx45 now. I just love these trucks.
I love the design, way ahead of its time I notice some brand new suv's copping infiniti FX. I bought mine Nov 2016 @220000KM, one owner vehicle he was using Regular gas since brand new, he never changed spark plugs, transmission oil was black but the SUV was in great condition, Driver seat wasn't going back n forth. I already changed the tranny oil twice, fixed the driver seat, changed spark plugs, K&N air filter premium gas since I bought it, I also cleaned mass air flow sensor, Throttle body, last week I changed wheel bearing (SKF bearing) cost me $165CAD I changed it myself 2 hours job, broke the ABS wheel speed sensor $320CAN dealer price, I got mine amazon $25CAN works fine. I changed brake pads (mistake) must change pads n rotors brake works fine around 70-80 km speed, but on a high speed it shakes cause of the old rotors, goona be buying new rotors soon.
You are the type of owner i would like to buy a used car from, i like how you take care of your car. There are not many DIY videos on the fx series and that makes it difficult for a guy like me (who needs guidance) to fix somethings myself. Changing the air filter sounds like something i should consider doing at this stage.

I bought an 07 fx35 about two years ago. Maint isnt that bad. Since ive had it, outside of regular maint ive had to change a cam shaft sensor. Mine looks exactly like yours except mine has black leather. I live in Cincinnati. We get snow and ice. The fx35 has no problems in either. However, my speedo and tach recently started acting up. Doesnt effect the driving experience. I love my fx35!! Best vehicle ive ever bought!!
Maint on the cayenne is a monster. on any Porsche the maint is a monster. I looked at one, then i said no way. Theyre nice but not so nice to where id give up a house payment to fix it. Might move up to an fx37 tho.

About cancer u ll beat it dont worry 😄 and infiniti man is a rare amazing value reliable car i bght 1 fx35 2009 unfortunately the original owner beat it it got 55kmiles and already a stuck thermostat i notice when i get it the heat gauge doesnt go up and after a while it got stuck and closed and i almost break the engine the gauge was all up but it still hold with worn struts brakes windshields a broken switchs a bad battery..... the owner was an animal iam fixing important things to less it deserve it such a sexy reliable car
These are actually on the Nissan 350z/g35 coupe platform, pretty much everything underneath is 350z but you could get this amazing v8 in it and AWD! Personally I'm a fan of the v6 one a little better because i love the VQ exhaust note and its a bit more tuneable which is also the exact same engine as the 350z/g35. I'm planning on getting an FX35 in a few months actually for it is my dream vehicle. I was originally gonna get a 350z but its not big enough to fit all my friends, plus not really gonna be good for the weather conditions in Vermont where im from so i did more research and this suv popped up, now i did see the 4 door g35 but i feel it doesn't look nowhere near as nice as the FX. i feel the FX looks like a concept vehicle that went straight into production and it does look just like the 2002 FX concept they had. It keeps this design futuristic even today in 2023

I am driving infiniti FX45 for little over 5 years, (very reliable only wheel bearing front right once) let me tell you something, its not a vehicle or some transporting material that you get in and go to places. It is a dream once you get in the FX it takes you to that dream feeling, even after 5 years I don't miss a single chance to get into my FX45 and drive away, and exhaust sound is like the most beautiful music to your ears. My first FX45 wrecked in 2020 then I bought my second FX45 if anything happens to this one Then I will buy 3rd 4th 5th 6th on and on, I will make sure as long as I live FX45 will be my vehicle. I also own a 1993 Mercedes benz SL(BRABUS 7.3 580hp) very rare car.

I had owned a FX45 in the past and like the torque of the big V8.......gas mileage.....not so much!
