To sum it up, the A30 headphones are definitely better than the Astros A50 in several ways. However, there are a few areas that could use improvement. Firstly, I'd like the headphones to automatically turn off when not in use for a short time, which would save power, but unfortunately, this feature is missing. Additionally, I'd appreciate the ability to adjust settings directly on the Xbox or PC, not just through a phone. Overall, the A30 headphones are a big step up from the Astros A50, but they have a comfort issue. Unlike the A50, I find the A30 less comfortable for long gaming sessions due to the earpad rubber design. Despite these points, the A30 headphones are still a good choice, and I hope future versions will address these concerns.

$230 makes it a no
💩💩💩 sound quality for it's price category.
The wireless $150 turtle beach stealth 700 and $159 arctis nova 7x smokes the asstro a30 in imaging, resolution and detail.
The wired $179 epos H6 Pro and $350 VZR model one annihilates ALL wireless headsets.
These are now 160
666th like. :P
I am thinking of getting the Star Wars version of this headset so thank you for making this review!
Interesting how the boom mic seems to DROP quality of your voice. Not what I expected. Noise gate set to high makes it sound better though.
Great content 💯
So the thing I was wondering is if the battery is dead can you plug in the normal 3.5mm aux cable and it will be powered by your controller like normal wired headsets? I just still lean towards wired headsets more then wireless. Just because the battery’s do die/ lose their charge at some point and you’d have to order the battery online id presume. I was considering getting a new headset after my current ones start to go but they are currently still going great. they’re the a40s and Everytime I’ve needed a new headset I’ve gone with a40s cause I love them. I’m on my 3rd a40s just cause when I was 13 I didn’t really treat my headsets well, but when I was 16 I got my second pair looked after them quite well and then go another pair about 4ish maybe 5 years after just cause I dropped it once on hard floor and a part snapped on it. Don’t worry I’m much better with looking after them now 😅. I am holding out cause I’m hoping a new a40s will be launched at some point.
Yes you can use them wired and let me tell you the a30 are pretty amazing , you can also download the app and customize your settings
I have the a50 and I’m enjoying more of the a30 besides my a50 are like 6yrs old
@@yosilva1626 nice as, but just double checking, so if the battery does die in them I can just plug them into my controller and use it wired yes? Yeah I’m considering getting these if my current headset starts to go at some point. But like I said in my first comment, I’m waiting out and hoping they bring out a new set of a40s at some point.
@@bothleopard06 yes you can plug them in the controller, yeah man take your time I was very indecisive with choosing a headset until I saw a30 and the employee at Best Buy said those are the most recent new ones lol
the mic is doo doo
What’s the app called I can’t find it
Logitech G
One Dongle to rule them all!
Turtle beach 500 stealth P are better then these speakers kinda pathetic
Wow ok, Internal mic sounds better than boom mic 😂 who would have thought!
Just doesn't come off as a £230 headset to me
Especially when it only boost 27hr battery life.
@@frozengamer3030 only?💀 bro who tf is playing for 27 hours straight, the average is like 15-20 hour battery life for headsets
@@Tykumo but you are not understand you are paying £200 and you are getting 27hr battery life. You can buy other gaming headsets which has more battery life and £20 to £30 cheaper like the steelseries for example. I know nobody plays games for 27hr straight
@@frozengamer3030 i bought the steelseries a few weeks ago and returned them immediately, steelseries eq settings cant be changed as easily and the mic was echoing. personally i think steelseries are overrated
@@Tykumo Which model
For 230 dollars I’m going with the a50s 🤣
Once you buy the a50 for the ps5 for 300 then you have to buy a separate accessory so it can work for ps5 and that another 50 bucks lol I’ll pass I have the a30s and they are damn good better than my razors and my 7ps I have
A50s from 2019 vs a30s that came out few months ago in 2022... A30s are superior in sound man
Sooooo no Dolby Surround sound. Rip
Don’t buy headphones if you “need” Dolby.
@@InternetRez what?
@@xruud24 Most people who use headphones seriously don’t care about virtual surround.
@@InternetRez the astro mixamp is only made for that. And almost every gamer wants that.
@@xruud24 No one takes Astro’s bs “surround sound” seriously anymore. Especially when any good stereo headphone is compatible with all virtual surround sound services now. Astro A40/50s are just outdated.
