I bought my A50X about 3 weeks ago. Absolutely love them. They sound great out of the box to me. I did put the Wicked Cushions Freeze model on mine as I personally prefer how they feel and think they sound better with them on. I mainly play shooters and positional awareness is top notch with these. I'm consistently hearing things so much earlier and with more accuracy than people I'm playing with. Been asked quite a few times what headset I'm using and what particular EQ settings to achieve that awareness. It's just the default EQ and added Wicked Cushions so Logitech must have done something right. Microphone quality has been great as I've heard zero complaints. Honestly my only issue is the sheer amount of cables required for setup. Of which you do need to provide 2 HDMI 2.1 cables as Logitech decided not to include those in a $389.99 product. I'm using my A50X on just a PS5 and have a total of 4 cables into the back of the base station for proper setup according to what I followed on Logitechs channel. That's a lot of cables and a cable management nightmare for some. I was also apprehensive about purchasing considering they have not worked with some monitors and TV'S. Lucking they worked perfectly right away with my Asus PG27AQDM monitor. Honestly I think they are work every penny they cost. I mean $389 is a lot but honestly the Nova Pro Wireless are $349 and practically required the Wicked Cushions just to avoid the ANC bumps. That makes them about equal price. I honestly don't think the Wicked Cushions are necessary for the A50X but to me it's personal preference.
