I'm a lawyer in Australia, I watch a lot of British auditors mostly because I'm interested in the legal aspect of it. Your law has some solid elements worthy of bringing up, but I'd suggest doing so in a laymans method: "I'm on a public footpath." "You cannot trespass the eye." "Photography from public is perfectly legal, it might breach your policy but I am not an employee." "Personal consent is irrelevant." "You don't own the airspace above your property, just as planes, helicopters, airships can cross over your property or even hover over it, I am a registered pilot who can do the same as I please." Then there's some extrinsic arguments like Barbara Streisand, this was dealt with decades ago when she was super buttmad that they filmed her home. Also you need a better introduction, "I film interesting buildings on industrial estates for my TH-cam channel, I'll do a drone shot for Google Maps and be on my way." Good job pointing out Google Maps but when he said you're flying a drone over you didn't mention Google Earth. I know these are all things you've probably gone home and thought "Crap I wish I said X, Y or Z." but these are short concise arguments you can keep in your back pocket. Edit: It's not a "private" company, companies are not private, it's a publicly listed company, for all she knows you might be a shareholder, therefore her boss.

Because in this instance they were being recorded so the main clown kept his distance. Imagine all the incidents he attends where no camera is watching! I am sure with no witness it would have been handcuffs, a good digging and a van ride to the station. Who would a magistrate believe? A man with no camera or a corrupt copper? They are not interested in the law unless it helps them to take a member of the public off the street.

The police officers handled you professionally in that they did not overstep the mark and remained calm at all times. Those commenting on the channel stating that they were appalling or abusing their powers really should look up the law. The public want the police to investigate and ascertain whether someone is potentially committing a crime or not. You could be staking the place out to commit a crime and if the police did not carry out this level of due diligence people would rightly complain they weren’t doing their job. One has to ask, those commenting on here condemning these officers are they ignorant or even criminals themselves or dislike the police carrying out the duty taxpayers pay them for.

Not blaming the individuals who turned up, they do as ordered, but even then that is wrong. The questions need asking, like why am I attending this business, when all it is, is a person stood on public land filming the business.
