Now isnt that one of the best live performances you would ever like to see Jimmy is just the quintessential rock star and what a voice. Kudos to the rest of the band and also the marvellous Ian Moss another legend
No one is concerned about what you say about Jimmy in his younger days. He’s written 3 honest books about his life, I have them all. He talks in interviews on TH-cam about his past and sugar costs nothing Rollen. You can’t offend jimmy and you can’t offend us about the states he got himself into. All I can say is, thank god he lived to tell his story. and brutally honest about his past. He’s now 66 and after hip surgery and a holiday with wife Jane, he’s looking really fantastic. I’m so proud of him, his wife and family.. Ok, I’ll stop waffling on and I’ll now watch and listen to Jimmy and your review - even though watched it stacks - gawd I talk to much, take after my father lol 💞 🎸🎶👍
Couple of things to consider here: - by this stage of the concert, Barnsey is completely pissed - while Jimmy is doing his antics in the crowd, Mossy holds the thing together so well - showcases how tight the band was at this point of their career. This is the BEST cover of Wild Thing. From the same concert (The Last Stand) you should check out Mossy's version of Georgia (just sublime) and Janelle.
That was the great thing about Cold Chisel, they always bought something different to the table. And they gave everything 110%. Best cover of this song by far. Cheers Rollen
The Last Stand were their farewell concerts when they were breaking up in 1983. I remember not being able to get tickets for the Melbourne leg. A few of my mates got lucky and got them early enough and went. I own the VHS of the concert tour released in 1984 but I didnt get to see them until they reformed many years later. Barnsey is a perfect bloke to emulate a "Wild Thing" back in the day.
Rollen, great reaction and I never tire watching this song being reacted to. The guys struggling with Jimmy are the stage hands, worried about what he might do next and the wired microphone 🎤 obviously trying yo make sure it stays plugged in. Rhythm section on absolute fire. This was taken from their last gig together in 1983. The 5 members then next played together 15 years later in a reunion tour and produced an album aswell. Did another reunion In 2003 for Ringside tour which also was a DVD/CD release. A few one off gigs and they were in the process of doing another album when the drummer suddenly passed away in early 2011 after a brain tumor operation. Those tracks that had been recorded were released not long after and a tour done with Charley Drayton stepping into the drummer's position and doing a massive tour of Australia and New Zealand in late 2011. The album was finished off and released in early 2012 and also a one-off concert was played with the new songs included and this one show turned into the band's first "Live Tapes" release which was also DVD/CD release aswell as being live streamed to 150 cinemas Australia wide. Has been 2 more tours and 2 more albums since then.
Oh the memories of my misspent youth lol Got to see cold Chisel in concert a few times in my mad younger days. Jimmy was a wild man then. Never stopped him singing up a storm though. He’s been a clean family man for a good while now and lives up the road some with his fam. Yeah shivers
Yeah a couple bottle of scotch later this is what you get teal rock band I love how they match voice and guitar 🎸 even when someone in crowd screams Look up him in his 50s Jimmy and Joe bonamassa Stone cold you'll love it brilliant vocals and same 🎶 musos 🦘🇦🇺👍
Welcome to the Jimmy and Cold Chisel party…… always room for one more fan. If you love rock and if this won’t do it for you, nothing can. Thanks for your reaction Rollen.
we used to make my dad drive us to these concerts back in the day lol, jimmy was a pisshead but always amazing on stage. cheers for the reaction hun, luv from Oz
Chisel were the best rock band I ever saw, and I saw a lot. I saw them in 83 on the Last Stand Tour, at 14 or 15, and became a fan for life. Barnesy is an Aussie legend
Hi from Australia, Jimmy Barnes is really bad boy wasn't until much much later he cleaned himself up. He's been brilliant all his career. It was his earlier years that I fall in love with Jimmy
Chisel’s ‘Bow River’ is very good mail .. Australia was never into manufactured hair spray bands , Chisel were real blokes who actually lived the rock n roll life style, ‘Bow River’ will rip your head off.
Security pulled his shirt and trying to get him through the crowd. Jimmy was a nightmare for them lol. The crowd were not pushing him, he was falling over lol. I knew someone that went to this concert, and they said it was insane. Noone was trying to do anything to Jimmy.

Far and away the best cover of this song. Jimmy injects all the WILD into the song that no one else comes close to.

I’m with you, have his books also. So nice to survive such awful times. And see him now with his family and still singing
You will never see a better version of Wild Thing EVER.
200%
Luv watching you peoples from other countries REACTIONS to our music . 😂 luv it
Has to be the greatest performance of this song, rock performed as it should be...wild and exciting!

The most impressive performance to me is the way Mossy follows Jimmy down to his seat and never misses a single bar
This is the Jimmy we all fell in love with back in the day total wild man of Aus rock 😂🤣😂🔥🔥🔥❤️
Yep the song was written about him...they just did know it!
Arguably the greatest live track ever........
My favourite live performance of all time, just insane.

Hi man. We love Rock and Roll. All Aussies do
Hi from Australia, Jimmy Barnes is really bad boy wasn't until much much later he cleaned himself up. He's been brilliant all his career. It was his earlier years that I fall in love with Jimmy
We were mostly all naughty boys back then. LOL
@@iankearns774 True Ian😊

Incredible cover of a great song, thanks for the reaction matey
And THAT is how you play that song
Jimmy was well into his second bottle of vodka along with god knows how many beers and umm OTHER consumables by now
Love your honesty
Wild Thing, he didn't just cover it he became it.
The guy tugging on his shirt was security.
The female voice heard on mic was probably one of the backing singers. Vanetta Field or Renee Geyer that amazing singers in their own right.
Rip Renee.
Give Mossie some love
That was SICK!!!!!.👍
Thankyou mate!.👍
You brought me back!.👍
This re-sub is here to stay.👍

He was fighting with the security that was trying to control him
Bon Scott did his best performances drinking on stage
Security pulled his shirt and trying to get him through the crowd. Jimmy was a nightmare for them lol. The crowd were not pushing him, he was falling over lol. I knew someone that went to this concert, and they said it was insane. Noone was trying to do anything to Jimmy.
Thank goodness Jane came along and saved him for us! He might have had a much shorter career otherwise.

There is a bad edit in there.
They picked the wrong spot, we get a visual with no vocal and a vocal with no visual. Then the next edit is correct
