Classic Chisels, Jimmy and Mossy work so well together and don't try to out do each other. It's about the song.

One of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard...so much emotion, such a different arrangement for a song & perfectly describing the disorientation facing soldiers returning from war! ❤️‍🩹

Glad your reacting to these legends. Cold Chisel is one of the greatest bands of all time and deserve all the recognition they can get. You should check out “wild thing” next by Cold Chisel

Ian Moss (the main vocalist here) is one of the best guitarists Australia has ever seen. Jimmy Barnes is the band’s usual lead singer although the two do a lot of songs together as they harmonise so well. It was Jimmy Barnes’ falsetto you heard. The band dates back to the ‘70s and was Australia’s most popular band on record and stage from 78-83. Recently Jimmy Barnes broke a new Aussie record for the most number 1 albums in the history of the ARIAs (Australian charts), topping U2 and Madonna, with 16 number one albums.

Ian Moss plays an Australian Maton acoustic guitar, they are made with native Australian wood which are very dense and give the amazing tones.

Cold Chisel two great vocalists. They share the lead often and complement each other so well. Jimmy's falsetto is special. And once you get to see more from Mossy on Guitar you will understand just how outstanding his skills are. Check out Wild Thing from the Last Stand concert to see just how good he is.
Also I would check out John Farnham singing this same song either with Jimmy Barnes or from his 2003 concert live. His vocals just soar into another realm.
    Beautiful Song. Great reaction!

My fav version of this is the stripped down John Farnham cover from his Last Time tour where he goes vocally AWF, but there is legitimately not a bad version. There’s even an iconic Australian Idol performance from the first season that was spectacular 😂

Love Cold Chisel. I remember seeing John Farnham sing this song live and Jimmy Barnes came on stage and it was the best duet of this song with both of them going right off with Jimmy’s powerhouse gravel and John … some of the notes he hit were stratospheric.

Great vocals for sure, with incredible vocal range. I really hope you will react to "Dare" by Gentri, they describe themselves as symphonic pop. And all have theater backgrounds, they were all in a production of Les Miserables when they decide to form Gentri (short for "Gentleman Trio"). And recently were again all in a production of Les Miserables.

Australian rock has always been the working man's music. It wasn't like the American rock of the 80's which was all about fast cars and banging chicks.
Aussie rock always retained its blue collar ethos. And Cold Chisel were the masters of that. They are a part of our nation's cultural DNA.

Does it surprise you that this song has re-emerged after the Russian attack on Ukraine? Is there any greater human folly than the subjugation of the freedom of others than a misguided and dillusionul sense of self importance of those with imperial ambition?
