Is there any exotic engine that doesn’t cost money to fix? With that being said, the e60 is the cheapest to maintain in retrospect to other exotic cars..

Sounds amazing! I love the V10 M5. It's such a unique ride. I just posted a video of my friend's 2006 BMW M5 with 200,000miles (316,000KM)! Un-real- I couldn't believe it. Anyways, great video! Keep it up.
I've got a 2006, 126,000 KM (78,000 miles)... But the engine was new at 100 k (62,000 miles), Built by Troy Jeup. The crank and oil valleys are machined so now is engine is good. The entire gearbox, suspension, brakes all went through when the engine was out. Evolve intakes and stage 3 tune, full RPI seconadry, cat, x-pipe resonator delete, still has mufflers though. I figure it's solidly in the 600hp range. Lowered on H&R springs, DINAN anti sway bars. Carbon lip and spoiler.. 19 grand Canadian (about 14 grand US). Bought in early 2019.

What do you think about: 1) take away secondary cats and resonator ( but in Italy it is a risk) 2) take away only resonator and put a straigh pipe ( i think drone) but when i let closed, i hope none drone...right? I can open and close them by steps.. 3) let it original by eyes, but open/cut the resonator, go inside, close 2/3 (66%) of the tubes and holes and let 33% of absorbent material...maybe in this configuration it seems original, it will be louder than now, but i will have not drones or less. It is my weekend car i will do 1000 km in a year. Many thanks

V10 nat asp ....was going to get a low ks M6 and then put ESS Supercharger on, but everything of quality for these cars are so expensive. Reality Evolve is far cheaper than SS and its made by the same factory .... no brainer. ther option is to just sort out a quality downpipe ... (which you have done)
No decat. Still have secondary cats as well. There is a decent amount of drone when you remove the resonator, I have since put it back on and noticed just how drastic of a difference it made the moment I left the shop. I wanted to do something different with the X pipe just to try, instead of the small little factory H pipe. I do miss the resonator delete sound but also wanted it enjoyable on long trips.
@AlexGray I don't know wheater this is true but a freind told me when he removes his cats n resnatwrs he was shocked cause that balanced the drone out
Im sure I asked you this more than once but I could not find the response, but I know maybe once you said you didnt like the drone in m5. I have the same m5 with a muffler delete only. I just wanted some advise, as I wanted to also do a resonator delete but didnt want to regret it. Right now I dont here any drone, or it just may not bother me. Please let me know if you would have done the resonator delete if you could do it all over again. Thanks
I put the resonator back on because I remember the drone bothering me, so I would not recommend it however the car sounded insane. I'll be experimenting with keeping the muffler delete and removing the secondary cats to see how that changes the sound and if it still has no drone. My guess is that the drone will not be as bad removing the secondary cats as it was when I removed the resonator. Hope this helps.

Another question that I had was, what size spacers do you have on your wheels and do you think that was a good idea or not. I know it looks better but what about the wear and tear?

Don't use it a daily driver and you're okay... The best you will get is very high teens and maybe on the odd occasion low 20mpg... But it's smiles per miles where it counts

I would say muffler delete and x pipe. Resonator delete adds too much rasp and buzz at certain rpms. The x pipe gives it a little bit more exotic sound plus the muffler delete really allows you to hear the V10 sound without being crazy obnoxious.
Atlanta traffic for the most part, had a manual mustang and it got old quick. But also because the smg gear shifts are so savage, its a different kind of feeling and makes it very fun in its own way.
Smg ain't as bad as they make out... Yes at low speeds it can come across dumb and slow but it's the better option for all-round driving... Crusing when you want to relax and brutal when you turn it up Tunnels and downshifts are heaven
I am forever a manual lover. Never thought I would actually get one SMG until I drove it. Shit moves, sounds incredible. Auto makes sense considering its size. Big ass car.
Kevin, been 2 years since your comment. How does that setup sound? I have secondary cat delete. And ASR mufflers. Trying to figure out if I should delete the resonator. Or swap the h pip with x pipe
bro i had the cleanest sound with just mufflers deleted then i heard a lambo on the highway one day and it was wayyy louder then me so i said fuck it and deleted my 2ndary cats and resonator as well. The shop used their own piping probably cheap af but holy fuck man the car was sooooo loud i had to revert back in 2 months. The exhaust sound coudnt be picked up on camera becuase it was too loud. On video it would just crackle and rasp. i had burble pops and bang tune as well so when i would downshift there would be a real loud thunder clap sounded sick af but regular driving was ear piercing loud. I did get it to be just as loud as the lambo though lol if not even louder. Im wondering why yours sounds so much more quieter with the same setup...
Don’t be fooled this is a autobahn Car period . Eats tires ,gas an it’s not a stoplight puller so if you think your going to be quick hell no . It’s strictly made for straights then u feel the power immensely.
I agree.... Its not the best off the lights against even some 1.6/2.0 cars but once it gets going it's claws it back and spanks the fools giving it their best shot... Only the newer dsg stuff is worthy competition And it defo eats tires, especially the rear even without burnouts

If you pause it at 2:40 that's the X pipe above that bracket. Normally from the factory that would just be a tiny H pipe.

@@antfou2 I love the way mine sounds. it can be a little "poopy" due to no cross pipes at all but it's nice and agressive sounding.
sounds getting bigger, but i can hear manifold gas getting less which make car slower a little

The best exhaust setup on this car is definitely straight pipe cats back, as soon as you remove primary cats it becomes too raspy.
