    Great video from a different age. I love how they say its dangerous sand precautions should be taken, then in the next video they're swirling the acid in a beaker without using gloves.

    You can't use lab gloves with HNO3 above 86% concentration or they will be rapidly oxidized and catch fire. Rather have an unsightly yellow stain then burning molten plastic on my hands. Great point though. You won't get burned by the acid as long as you wash it off within a minute. I have had many HNO3 bites over the years lol. You just get a nitric headache and a yellow stain on the contact point. It's a whole different story when you get it on more sensitive areas like your eye's, mucous membranes and mouth. Still you should only work with this acid and most acids only if your trained and have practical knowledge using them.
