the best channel for studying real chemistry, not just bookish theoretical stuff nowadays

10:40 CO2. The first is the 2349cm-1 of CO2, and at 12:35, this is CO2's Raman active mode at 1380 cm-1. The last is the 667cm-1 ( the one that lies within the Earth's blackbody curve). The 1380cm mode can now be detected with modern laser technology and Raman Spectrometers, and so can the modes of the diatomic molecules Nitrogen and Oxygen at 2338 and 1556 cm, respectively. This should collapse greenhouse theory, where these modes are assumed not to absorb and emit.

Great video, excellent methods of demonstration and teaching, much better than computer generated models these days. What year is this from?

"Chemistry alone wasn't a descriptive enough name, so we pulled some idiotic naming out of our asses to satisfy our pathological compulsive obsession with acronyms, especially those that look remotely like actual words in this retarded trainwreck of our language, and also totally jizzed our pants when we noticed we even made a recursive one" - Murricans, early 1960s

So do diatomic molecules have natural resonant frequencies OR rotational frequencies at every quanta of energy level? I missed my understanding here ... ?

GOD!! why no one taught me chemistry like that. I hated chemistry before watching this video, as a physics lover, chemistry was always a turnoff for me because I felt it was just rote learning and no understanding.
