Eating magnus pawn would have opened the attack for the king-rook easily he was doing good but he lost because he went with this night over the board and get trapped he should have repeated position like he was doing in the beginning
@@RR-qf9re it is not that immediately obvious to me. Could get trapped but looks like escape is possible and gaining a pawn. He got his knight trapped anyways maybe this was not as high risk/reward.

@@RR-qf9re I enjoyed reading your analysis but i cannot see it working. I don't think Parham had any potential leverage in this position he ended up with ...
I don't understand why he didn't move the white knight to G7 to threaten two pawns at the same time. He would take one pawn and was going to win that game.

Assuming neither player's flag dropped, after 75 moves with no pawn moves and no pieces captured, I believe the tournament director can declare a draw. Please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe after trapping his opponent's knight, Magnus won this game because his rook could have easily captured the pawns blocking his paws and obtained another queen shortly thereafter. If Magnus wasn't careful, the game could have ended as a stalemate!😮
once magnus mogves the queen away from the triple protection on the knight i think parham shouldve taken the knight with his knight causing an exchange which lreaves him able to claim the last piece in the echange with his queen gaining a knight rook and a pawn for his kjnight and rook leaving him +1 in material in the echange???
