How does the regular wilson shift compare to the pure aero 98? Since they have the same string pattern. I was thinking of getting the shift and something to make it a little heavier (not entirely familiar with modifications)

Jonas - what’s your definition of an advanced player? You emphasize that the Gravity Pro would be suited for an advanced player. I’m a 4.5 and switched to it recently since hitting with it did not feel like a 330 SW w 23 version. I absolutely love it but wondering if I’m over my head player with it. My previous raquet was Boom Pro which I love but the feel I get from hitting with Gravity is just too good.
If you're 4.5, I think the Gravity Pro can be fine.

I would like to ask for your advice. I would like to buy a new racket as I unfortunately broke my old one (Gravity Pro 1st generation). I am looking for a racket that is similar to the Gravity Pro, but if possible minimally lighter (when a game goes on for more than 2 hours I sometimes notice slight fatigue.) and gives a little more "feedback". For me, the GP always felt a bit too "muffled".
My previous racquets:
About 15 years ago I started with an old Fischer racket of my father from the early 90s.
My first own racket was a TopSpin x95 I loved the direct feel with it. I could control the balls well with it.
Babolat Pure Strike 16/19 3rd Gen. I didn't get on with it and sold it after 3 months. Couldn't control my shots with it.
Head Gravity Pro: I immediately played better with it. However, I never liked this "dead" feeling. Nevertheless, I've been playing it for almost 4 years.
To sum up again:
So I'm looking for a racket that is as similar as possible to the Gravity in terms of the "result", but if possible slightly lighter and a little more feedback.
Sorry that I can't describe it better, but I don't know anything about rackets. That's why I'm asking for your help and I'd like to thank you in advance. (Sorry also for my bad English)
One more thing about my game. I am 1.91 m tall and weigh 108 kg. So I'm not particularly agile but still quite strong... I would describe my technique as very good, although not perfect. I have a strong first serve, but it's not consistent enough. I go to the net rather averagely often. I play a one-handed backhand and slice very often.
I'll just name everything I can think of, maybe it will help to better assess me. Once again, thank you very much.

Yeah, we ran out of time. The best volley racquet out of the ones we tried is the Gravity Pro, in my opinion.
@@Tennisnerd Thanks for the volley comment! I own the best volleying racket in the history of tennis. And the most comfortable. It was made in the mid-90s. Can you guess what it was? Hint: it was originally 28.5inches long, but I cut them down and customized them. Warren Bosworth used them for racket fitting sessions. Maybe not a fair question because probably "before your time?" I wish you could review it now though. I think you would be thoroughly impressed
This channel has to focus on equipment, and this comparisons. But honest, both you guys are hitting well with each racket. Perhaps the rackets don’t make that much difference.
Racquets make a difference, but it is easy to exaggerate it. You need to find something that feels good and suits your game, and then you're good.
They literally have an in depth conversation about the differences across sticks and the differences jonas noticed receiving balls from the same player. Clearly there is noticeable difference, so what are you talking about? Have you even played tennis? Lol. Using the same technique, there are sticks that I straight up cannot play competitively with and ones that work very well for my game. They make a significant difference
@@yongsann of course there are differences, and the reason we watch this channel is for product review, not tennis playing itself. I am guilty of owning 20+ rackets, some of which based on the recommendations here to try. I had experience playing with 4 identical rackets back in the days with syn gut strings that all broke during a match, and I had to borrow a totally different racket, and it didn't affect the game all that much.

Head is actually underrated, best brand for both rackets and strings imo.

Right now they are the best manufacturer from a performance standpoint IMO, period. They offer the best compromise between modern technology and classic feel. QC might be better on Yonex but their racquets are a bit overdesigned and lacking lots of feel/feedback due to their dampening tech...
@@hybrid11theory75I like head’s racquets generally, but I feel like they’re losing identity even in their own verticals. No racquet they make is doing anything particularly well, and their QC might be the worst around (with Wilson really giving them a run for their money).
For me, technifibre is one of the tops for understanding what they want out of a frame, quality control, and playability. They’ve also got a really good lineup of strings.
@@EveryTimeIDavid U should maybe go in detail what you mean by that otherwise I can't follow. Gravity Pro is easily one of the Top 3 control rackets on the market right now. The last Head racquets I bought all were within 1-2 g of tolerance. I think it's not that bad anymore as ppl claim it to be. Tecnifibre makes quality products, maybe their strings are a bit too pricey, like luxilon. This is a personal taste, but I think they would sell more racquets with modern grip pallets and a better design.. all their racquets look kinda the same...
