    Are you surprised? Look at the incompetence we face from SAPS daily, and the crime rate we face. Call them now, and they only arrive hours later. Call Armed response, and they will be here within a few minutes.

      @@jacquespotgieter7391 Maybe it's because private security has less responsibilities than saps. Private security's mandate is very limited compared to saps. For example, protecting 10 households in 1 neighborhood is not the same as to protecting 1000 households in 1 neighborhood. Plus why do cash in- transit delivery companies fail to prevent robberies if they are that reliable?

      Guards are over worked. Guards are obliged to work 12Hrs a day, earning from 6k a month some less than 4.5k a month, while others are not provided with transportation, working conditions are not human standard.

  • @jordanmntungwa3311
    @jordanmntungwa3311 2 หลายเดือนก่อน +23

    Private security is a business at the end of the day and it's primary goal is to make money.. Private security is only effective against hungry people who steal meat from the fridges in Shoprite and steal baby powder and chocolates. They aren't able to stop or prevent Hijackings as people are still attacked at their gates while the CCTV installed by the company just watches, they can't stop home invasions or Cash in Transit Heists or ATM attacks. it's just posturing as Security to give the feeling that you are secure. They tend to lack proper training because the owner of the company only pays for basic training or no training at all. They also are targeted by thugs because they carry firearms and thugs want those firearms. This private security is also falling into the trap of cheap labor from across the border, leading to things like theft of security vehicles and theft of trucks with the help of security personnel. When you say private security played a Pivotal role in the unrest 3 years ago, what do you mean because everything was destroyed in front them while they used live rounds on people illegally? what was the role they played because I just remember everything on fire while they stood around?

    • @kgoshimolope14

      Wow! 🎯 In South Africa we are taught (mostly by the media & certain political parties) to believe that the private sector is synonymous with efficiency and is far better than government. This has led to many of us being less critical of the sector and oblivious to its shortfalls.

    Private security sector will grow because they do what they are authorised and trained to do and the SAPS ORGANISATION must also appoint all experienced security officers as the private security companies do them and saps organisation must stop claiming themselves as if they are professionals compare to security companies as you can see now what happening they must recruit security officers.

    This has nothing to do with ANC governance, 1994 Nelson Mandela never asked any of the companies to be shut down and leave to Australia 🇦🇺 fearing that blacks are going to do what they have done to them for decades. From 1990 until 1994 those four years many things happened and ANC never asked people to fight against each other but apartheid has taught people that they are not equal so they can’t be allowed to be seen together with each others then we blame ANC for division that was created by apartheid and colonisation if colonialism and apartheid treated people as equals from the beginning none of what is happening today would be happening.

      You are talking absolute rubbish, the ANC had thirty years to build a credible and effective police service and it dismally failed.
      Your continued blaming of apartheid for your ANC failures is seriously annoying and has its genesis in self-hate. We cannot, as black, continue using apartheid to cover-up for our glaring incompetence.
