See you guys for the next one! 👍 (Special Mention to MLB Black Grail, I didn't put it in the video but assuming you have the charge to get someone to full it is one of the most powerful options for nuking in the game. I strongly consider leveling it since its one of the rare CEs that scales to +2400 attack power)
Lvl 100 black grail is the most disgusting thing in this game.
Knowing that some servants can loop with it after Castoria arrives is just crazy
Sanzang with a Level 100 MLB Black Grail is the perfect combo for even more shenanigans add a Merlin or two :D.
Another CE maybe worth mentioning was "Magical Girl of Sapphire" although no available anymore excellent for looping.
Black grail basically trivialized the entire CCC rerun on NA for me. The CE is just ridiculous at level 100.
Do you have a CE guide on which is okay to either burn or use as EXP for another CE? I am trying to max out a CE as fast as possible with the success going on.
One additional CE that I would mention is Honey Lake, aka the Yang CE from Summer V. While it might be a ways away for NA players, that CE is fucking ridiculous when used in conjunction with the burn command codes (there are currently 3 of them) since it increases the damage done to enemies by 35% (40% when MLBed) when they are burned. Having pure Attack stat and pierce invulnerability is only the cherry on top.
That CE is definitely made for Yang Guifei as her NP has increase damage against a burned enemy and her kit makes burning enemy a bit easier (even easier when her taunt upgrade comes to NA). Heck, she's basically burn version of Robin which makes her has a good synergy with burn CCs.

Damn. I was going to make a CE guide of my own, but this video already has everything I would say, exactly in the way I'd say it. It's amazing how your views on the game are so similar to mine, I absolutely love this.
EDIT: Actually I think you should've mentioned non-starting charge damage CEs, both general ones (BG, HF, Victor of the Moon, Another Ending) and specific ones (Origin Bullet, Honey Lake, Burning Tale of Love), but still loved the guide.
Nothin' new for me to learn here, but this is a great video for people who are a little newer or haven't paid much attention to game mechanics. Nice work!

We get a very similar one this year during summer 4. It's welfare too! That's the "heavenly demon princess" CE I mentioned with Suzuka on it.
I honestly love lvl 100 golden sumo. I use it just as much if not more than Kaleidoscope. It's a very very strong ce for general use.
It can be, it just isn't as strong for nping which should be what people are striving to do. The reason I called it out in particular is people tend to believe its somehow stronger than other options which isn't true. I'm not sure why people have this misconception. And frankly nobody else can reacquire it until JP gives us a main interlude for Onigashima.
My Current Favorite is Aerial Drive, mostly because FGO decides to preferably throw Buster-oriented Servants at me. (Karna, Artoria, Ivan (despite his np hitting like a wet sock, Mammoth needs an upgrade), Broskandar etc.) The ones that aren't Buster are usually the 3 Star Friendgachas like Robin Hood, Ceasar or Euryale or Welfares like Sieg, (way too long name-man with his pet dragon-waifu),Shiki or Ishtar).

Always nice to get more perspective on things like this. I already have a copy of Sumo and HNS leveled to 100 with Sapphire and Royal Icing maxed too. I'm not sure who I'll bomb to 100 come 4th Ani, but I have 5.5mil FP to burn minimum round then so I'll be able to figure it out. If I get another copy of BG (I'm one away from MLB) that's an instabomb, but I'm torn between doing AD and saving a bomb for Traces of Xmas later in the year, assuming I can only bomb 2 after Ani.
I also really want to be able to bomb my other copies of HNS, a second AD, and Sumo plus the Suzuka CE and, assuming I lucksack 3 Scopes, an MLB Scope. Gonna take ages to get there though.
Traces isn't necessarily going to save your ability to loop if you already have something like HNS leveled. It might make the difference in just enough refund on a node here and there but you should already be able to loop quick with your setup. So the question you need to ask is how are your np levels on your loopers and do you need traces leveled for that event to be able to clear nodes? If not work on what you can now. You still have gilfest 2 coming before that point for more fp anyways.
@@Khadroth I have NP3 Jets and NP1 Dantes for general Quick looping, so the primary reason I'd have to use Traces is for tankier waves probably. Between Sapphire and HNS, I'm probably good, but Traces being leveled would provide a nice alternative just in case and would also be purely Quick which would round out my buff types. Sumo for ATK, HNS for NP Damage & Crit, Sapphire for NP Gain, Royal Icing for Arts, AD for Buster, Traces for Quick.

Well this is somewhat due to annoying way of leveling CE. For Servants we have embers we can farm at somewhat decent quantity daily, but for CE making CE Bombs from summonable low rarity CEs is more time consuming than anything else.
I must also admit that getting 5 copies of Scope really is pain in the butt. And indeed, rolling on banners with no CE rateup like Shuten/Raikou (the one before Gilfest 2020) or this oh-so-hated story banner can make getting MLB Scope dream more possible.
As for other CEs, it would be good if we have some way to get missed events CEs (aside from those Valentines CEs presented in Rare Prism Shop). I personally missed one HNS and so I am permanently stuck with non limit broken one. I also would like to get Golden Sumo :)
Poster Girl would also make my life (and challenge quests) a lot easier ;) But this CE was summonable so IDK if there are some chances of getting it.
Most welfare CEs has drop-based acquisition problem. There are 4 copies in the shop, and last copy you need to drop from free quests, and sometimes this can be sooo hard. I for example had this issue with this year Valentines Beautiful Dreamer where I literally cleared whole shop and still didn't have 5-th copy of that CE. In the end I did managed to MLB it, but it was far from nice experience.
Bodhisattva CE: I was once doing experiments with Arash and his overcharge effect, and strangely enough he still did more damage with lvl 20 Scope than with lvl 20 Bodhisattva. Despite his Overvharge effect...
The difference is not huge but still in favor of Scope.
Aside from Dragon Meridian the one 3* CE I use quite often is Jeweled Sword Zelretch. It has nice 40% starting charge (MLB) but also boosts NP generation rate and it has low party cost - very good F2P counterpart of Magical Girl of Sapphire.
End note:
I am a little perplexed that nearly no one puts lvl 1 Georgios or Leonidas on his support lists. I mean yeah, having strong Rider as support can be beneficial, but sometimes you just want to solo something with Cu, and... well good luck with finding someone crazy like me, who actually have lvl 1 Georgios with his Bond CE on support list :)
RE other missed CEs: I've never understood this either they're very selective with what they put in the rare prism shop which makes me think we'll get a main-interlude type mechanic for them later.
RE Bodhisattva: This shouldn't be the case. I suspect this is either from eyeballing and only 1 or 2 attempts, or not having everything equal. NP damage rolls have variance to them but you should never be getting a result where the non-mlb kscope ends up stronger than bodhisattva.

Ok, so I did some test now:
My testing node was Fuyuki X-A (saber skeletons).
First skeleton was killed by carding and second wave was NP by Arash.
Note: in second wave I started with NP card and avoided using Buster chain.
My team:
Arash with Scope/Bodhisattva + Skadi with Lunchtime (Her NP battery is targetable but gives no buffs) and support Skadi with Bond/EXP CE.
My Arash relevant stats:
LVL: 60, NP: 5, Atk: 6136, Upgraded NP.
Note 2: I was concentrating on the leading numbers so in fact damage was higher by at least 1 point in every case.
Kaleidoscope lvl: 20, +atk: 786.

So as you can see the small amount of attempts can be counted out.
The 400% bonus damage from OC300% should easily be enough to close the 393 points of attack gap between Bodhisattva and Scope, yet the numbers speak for themselves. Averagely Arash with Devilish Bodhisattva deals 3,5k less damage than with Kscope.

I think you missed out in detailing on how people should in actuality figure out the pros and cons of similiar ce's which u stated at first.It's more of a a best present and forthcoming ce showcase video.
Maybe take three different situations and three servants which specialise in buster,quick and arts and iterate their performance based on the ce's which boost their np,atk ,np gain etc
An example would be Fujino and differentiate her performance when equiped with hns vs Ae vs GS.

Wow thanks alot for advice, since i got np2 dantes and a skaldi i thought my first ce to max out will be 'one summer' but apparently it gives only hp.... What really sucks is that i don't have merlin, therefore buster memes are not very like by me.
I want to force Kerry to loop, and i have the 'Mark on a Smiling Face' CE but I never even bothered to look at it lol. This will help a ton
I always thought Sapphire Magical Girl was weak but now that I have an MLB copy of it, I am considering leveling it up because I'll probably use it a lot.
Azure (Sapphire) Magical Girl is amazingly strong and one of the best looping CEs in the game. I have a level 100 one I used on my squirtoria for all the detour quests in CCC (except King Protea). Chat said the 9th node would finish me for sure. I looped 10 times in 10 turns with it, and would have looped an 11th had the node not been completed.
I leveled my Chaldea Lunchtime because I take it with me pretty much everywhere anyway. Gotta squeeze out every last bit of sq. Since September 2017 I've gotten... let me check... 407sq from bond levels. That's... more than I what thought it would be, actually.
Or you could always use Demonic Bohdishattva on Medea which would let her use her np 3 turns in a row by herself
Just wanted to offer a tip for any new-ish free to play players.
Don't feel bad investing in a "suboptimal" or "non-meta" welfare CE that fits your units.
My first CE I invested in seriously to get to level 100 was An Oni in Human Clothing. I had just joined the game a few months prior to it coming out in the setsubun rerun, and one of my first top tier gold units was Lancelot Saber from a spook. I loved his playstyle and wanted a 50% CE to be able to pair him up with a support Merlin to NP turn 1 and crit like crazy for several turns. It worked very well for me, and I still use that CE quite a bit. It's comparable to Holy Night Supper, but fits better with units that are a bit more face-card crit heavy and have decent numbers of card hits that can help you crit more consistently.
If you see a welfare CE you like that fits what you're going for with units you have, don't be afraid of investing in it. Even if it's not a popular one to invest in.
That being said, don't try to invest in every decent CE you get, as there is going to be a limit on how many CE bombs you can get each year to level them. Definitely do what he suggested and use friend points during opportune times for CE bombs to maximize what you can build. But, if you have limited options and it would make a pretty big difference for your team right now, go ahead and invest in 1 or 2.
Since Ce-leveling does take quite alot ofother Ce's, my mid-step is usually level 50 until i have a decent variety for Buster, Quick, Arts and mixed. (Still looking for a decent Quick+Arts one) Then i can push them up to level 100.
(Yay for strong Event-Ce's. so even F2P-players like me can get some nice damage from them)

Wish i could've tried harder to get Jalter's outfit and max out the CEs from that event... Work was super busy when that event was going on, and all i REALLY managed to do was roll Jalter and 1 Maiden Leading Chaldea and the Jalter Essence from the event.

I already have a lv 100 Aerial Drive a lv 20 Kaleidoscope and Black Grail, i want bring at lv 100 a quick ce for Kama, Its better The Princesses' Pilgrimage that have split stats but good effects or just wait for Traces of Christmas ?
Personally I'd wait. DW has a really bad habit of screwing over quick CE's, including princesses pilgrimage. Thankfully Kama has 50% charge in her kit already so using stuff like black grail is easily possible. But otherwise wait for traces or use something like heavenly demon princess coming up for a 50% charge option. You only have so much craft essence experience to use most of the time, so don't waste it by trying to level a split stat (hp and attack scaling) CE.
Funny you made a ce video when I was debating something. I Lvl 100 royal icycing but felt like I should feed it to something (example MLB black grail) because I wasn't really using it. Not sure ill be able to get into the future arts meta, as a mostly f2p. I could get the ce back during the rerun.
I wouldn't it would just be doing more work for yourself in the future. There will be another 2x super and great success chance coming with the 16 mil download's campaign fategrandorder.fandom.com/wiki/16M_Downloads_Campaign#2.2C3_.26_4 and then the 3x super and great success chance at new years. I'd just level up whatever else you want then. Getting into the future arts meta is pretty easy as its just castoria. It becomes the easiest meta to setup, because of the lack of requirement for things like a superscope. You'll be glad you have royal icing then. As for arts loopers a number of people already work for it, and there will be more coming. My advice is to just begin to set aside quartz for castoria when you can. It doesn't have to be right now, but don't get baited by banners for servants you didn't plan to want/need.
been playing since January 2018 and so far I have 8 copies xD mlbed 5 of em so I have 1 superscope which I just level 100ed sometime last year :P
I would say "if you can MLB KSCope, MLB KScope. I only just got that option a few months back (yes, it took me that long since launch), and what I have been able to do with it is night and day compared to having several non-MLB ones. Yes, there have been times when having an extra 80% NP to slot would be nice, but not remotely as nice as not needing any batteries first turn. So if you have 4 or less KScopes, keep them, but as soon as you get your 5th, MLB that thing.
Just make sure you also have an MLB Imaginary Number, you should have pulled enough to make 2-3 of those by this point. They are not _quite_ as good as a basic KScope, but you're only off by 5%, so Karna's 25% charge? Good enough. Anyone with 30? Good enough. Anything that gives you 20 + anything that gives you 10 (like half the Codes or one Waver buff), plenty. Imaginary Numbers should be fine on secondary options.

Is Chocolate Heaven (Kama CE) from next valentine's banner a good CE choice for NP3 Kama? Or will Traces of Christmas be good enough? I don't want Nintendo Switch-chan, but reallllllly like Kama's CE.
as a new player, currently playing Camelot and having too many 4/5 servants and CEs this is just hell... too much stuff to level up, too little stamina to do that, and to many materials to farm up so I can level up and ascend my servants and skills, damn this game is hard af, and most of the usefull CEs you say here, like kaleidoscope I have it stuck at lvl 20, since I'm not a P2W player, and can't LB it D:
I'd advise you to focus one thing at a time. If you're not getting through content at all its going to be because of your servants so start there. Focus on getting at least one single target and aoe character leveled for every class then try to level up your next best options in classes of need. If you're lacking the punching power to clean clear the answer is in your enhancements, so make sure you're working on damage skills, fouing the big nukers, and yes leveling CEs. This game requires patience to get places, don't worry too much about getting to end right away. For CEs you get plenty of welfare options that make good targets for leveling. And if that's still not enough you can always check me out on twitch on weeknights. I do account review streams about every other month (yes full account review) for free several days at a time. And I still have it as a channel point reward for my regulars in case of emergencies. Hope this helps. 👍
I was pretty salty that we only got one chance to get copies of Paradox Ace Killer as I only managed to get four copies of it and it only appeared in the Prisma Illya re-run. It's the quick equivalent of Kaleid Ruby and Kaleid Sapphire which give 15% effectiveness to their respective face cards (buster for ruby and arts for sapphire) and 10% np damage and only scale their attack as they level up. Notably the arts side also got Kill on Sight, which gives 10% arts card effectiveness and 20% np damage but scales both attack and hp as it levels. I don't think either buster or quick got equivalents to that card.
Leveling up a taunt CE might not be good if it has any HP stat.
Half of the time you want whoever equipping it to die as fast as possible.
The extra HP can be a problem.
KScope and BG are my first and only Max LB CEs they're bonkers, Girl of Sapphire is next tho

Black Grail and Heaven's feel should be leveled after KScope if you are not whale player. These 2 CEs are not following the general CE balance sheet due to early game design flaws. Which cause their damage output is simply wayyyyy out perform any CE in this game.

I put both 2030CE on my Merlin and Waver with Holmes as my DPS . Merlin makes only 5stars on 5 turn with his NP and 10stars on OC lvl 200 , that would be hard to crit with your DPS with lack of stars .
Im a star per turn Hoarder , I get stars so I can Punch Harder
Yes and I've seen double merlin comps produce 50 stars per turn easily if you're looping their np's enough. The point is to consider if you need that many stars for your comp to work when you're firing off np's left and right, or if you can just automate his np gain even more to make it so you can just focus on the nuker's cards. It's a case by case situation.
Your CE priorities: damage, starting charge, crit stars, etc.

People say that MLB k-scope is a very tricky thing to have.
Meanwhile i have 1 MLB and 2 extra copies while being a FP2 and playing for 3 years

@@skyboy884 If you want a k-scope just roll in any banner (as all banners have chance to drop one) that doesn't have a 5 star CE rate up, that way you chances of getting a 5 star CE are higher and from that point is just all luck.
A friend that got me onto FGO has spend about $1400 in the game and only has 4 copies.
I just returned again by new year 2022.... How I already missed some of the good ones. Saaaad :(
I wish we could sort the craft essence by effect. So we can show which ones boost the NP meter which ones increase clinical strength.
This is actually a thing on JP atm. Not sure when NA will get that QoL update though.

After getting black grial mlb I can't look at any other ce for damage anymore. It's so powerful I can nuke so many enemies without much issues. Then I got Merlin and Tamamo.
Other ones I raised and use are irisviel Halloween ce for np damage. Golden sumo for card damage
Gimmick ce I love is the altera ce as it's a 50 Percent charge with a anti inval Peirce making it a mandatory raise that is very good.
Prisma cosmos and kscope I don't have mlb but it's still great for use anyways. 2030 for crit teams and golden catches the carp for crit stars as well.
Basically I know what ce to raise and have little use for many other ones myself
BG is the most for damage but it can't always be used. And to be honest I wouldn't have bothered leveling the irisviel CE. I talk about that in the video.
@@Khadroth irisviel CEUs Actually still a good ce for me. Managed to use it to farm and it's already high level.
Black grail will come in handy when Nero bride gets her buff.
But overall many ce lost thier value after black GRAIL now me wanting more charge or gimmick ce for my account.
@@ivanbluecool Yes but if you've been around long enough to have it you should have multiple better options that all deal significantly more damage for you now. Including golden sumo itself.
@@Khadroth oh yeah I have all the event ce mlb. I like using it for a back up but most of the time I keep hercules in back or more stall units with Stall ce using one damage dealer.
I would like the Kiara ce for np overcharge effects in the future.
Currently high raised ce are black grail. Golden sumo. Irisviel ce. Altera ce and such. I have a lot of my bases covered and if defense is needed I got the carren and kirie ce plus kayneh ce so I can be flexible whenever needed but I like prisma cosmos More to np charge as I'm flexible with arts and buster while quick I have no skadi but can use support well enough
