I picked black grail since I only had 3 k scopes but had 4 black grails, so I was able to finally MLB it. And with append, mlbing k scopes is a lot less important
Personal advice, don't mlb your k scope until you have 6 copies at least, there have been many times where I'd rather have multiple k scopes than a super scope. And now that we have append skills you need a super scope even less.
I feel that anyone who doesnt already have at least 1 kscope should get it because it allows for a lot of different team comps to actually function. bg is better if you already have at least 1 kscope tho
This just made me realize just how lucky I am. I got a Kaleidoscope in literally my very second quartz roll, around 2 weeks after I created my account. Then got a black grail during Skadi's last banner in NA. They are the two non-limit broken 5★ CE I use the most too.

Having 2 CEs with 80% charge is nice but I would just prefer to have black grail to inflict more damage
SuperScope hasn't lost value; that 2000 raw attack that a lv.100 Kscope provides is extremely valuable.
i already have maxed out black grail, limited zero, and frontal craft, so for me, Kolidescope and volume hydrargyrum are the one's I'm looking at
I'm currently Buster farming with Arcueid, so I went with Black Grail since she doesn't necessarily need a starting charge CE to loop.
If you have neither of them. Then get black grail. Black grail gives your arts loopers more refund for farming. And is broken for boss fights when you want to nuke them. Don’t even need a kscope if you have other Battery ces.
That is under the assumption that you do have a native Castoria. You should add that disclaimer. W/o Castoria or any other card-color support, Kscope is the best option.

Even if you don't have Castoria, Xu Fu is a nice budget replacement imo. Minus 20% battery and hard defense.

Thankfully I already have a MLB Black Grail, so definitely going for K-scope since I still need 3 for MLB.
I'm new to fgo jp and got jack from the start up summon ( the one you get after fuyuki) and got imaginary around for the quick memes.
Not having either on JP I went for BG. It's a valuable tool and in the age of appends, chargers and CD reduction I feel K-scope, while still amazing, isn't quite as impactful as it used to be
Well that and Arcueid was kind enough to show up three times without consuming all of my SQ so not offering her that specific CE in return would have straight up felt wrong

that insta np will save you a turn or atleast a battery skill

I have a 2 MLB Imaginary Element and 1 copy of Kscope but no Black Grail... Been wanting some since start playing 1 year ago but never had. Nice to have this kind of freebies from Lasengle.
I've been REALLY lucky when it comes to CEs. I have an MLB Black Grail (got a whooping 4 copies trying to get Arjuna Alter last year and the last 5th on a random story roll for shits and giggles) and 3 Kscopes.
Scopes are always nice, even beyond MLB, so you can spread them around your supports. Guess I'll go with another scope.
Assuming you don’t have either, if you don’t have Castoria, Kscope. If you do have Castoria, BG.
just started on jp and chose the kscope. The amount of sheer ease in clearing story with it puts it above grail imo. Though when NA gets this, definitely will be picking grail for the MLB unless a 5th drops from the gacha gods in the next 2 years xD

My opinion on the topic:
If you have Castoria and a decent Arts Looper: Black Grail
If you don't have Castoria or already have at least 1 copy of Black Grail: Kaleidoscope
If you have Castoria and already have 1 Black Grail and 1 KScope: Prisma Cosmos / Volumen Hydrargyrum / Black Grail (in order to mlb)
If you have Castoria and 1 of the CEs above each: Black Grail in order to mlb
Also on formal craft: There's Mark on a Smiling Face, Royal Icing, etc.. So many great arts CE alternatives
Those are limited, tho. FC is available in the general pool.
New player/ you want to quick loop=kscope
Veteran=black grail (unless its already mlb)

I have an MLB Black Grail and a Superscope, as well as like, 5 Kscopes, and I think I'll just pick up the extra Kscope. I'm not really utilizing more than 1 Black Grail user per team, but lazy farming teams could always use more Kscopes.
People say the append skill is an alternative but you need to get any 5 star you want to do this with to bond 6 which will taken a decent amount of time , if you lb a k scope you can just do it for anyone instantly

If you can 3 turn loop without kscope you’re accounts good enough for black grail pretty much imo. Like castoria or skaid can loop with a starting 50% charge

I thought you just needed to clear Fuyuki for this ticket, and the commemorative CEs are from Anni missions? I will also say that superscope is still worth going for since you get 2k atk which is a big boost to dmg too. I don't agree that BG is better to get with Castoria. BG doesn't automatically mean enough overkill hits. If you use all Castoria buffs and you end up not getting back to 100% after np, unless you have charge on the servant's kit, you're screwed. If you have 80% charge (or 100%, or 80%+a2 @ l10) you cna get away with using one Castoria S2 (or no skill at all) and have a buffer for the next waves.

I feel like on a newer account you should pick up Kscope over black grail even if you have castoria, Kscope just allows so many options. If you already have a kscope then I would go for Black grail instead.

Picking Volumen Hydrargyarum. All the others are already MLB'd. 2 Kscopes (a third nearly), and 2 Black Grails specifically... Sitting on 7 of Volumen though, so if I can have an MLB one by the time this will probably let me have enough for the whole party with one MLB'd...

I got a K-Scope and finally have LB K-Scope after 6,5 years. Also I have one LB Black Grail and 2 more copies. I guess, K-Scope most rare in the game.
If you got Castoria and a top farmer (easier said than done, I know) you won't even use BG to farm, you can go full event currency (except in extra high HP nodes)
Not just a top farmer; multiple NP copies of said farmer. Hell, nowadays even the Queen Spish requires NP3++ and plug supports to farm 90+ nodes.

I would say that with a Gong you're more than good...but then u enter in the hell of having all the ammo required to avoid having to use Empieta/Camlan instead of event CEs.
@@DeIanB86 And then with the multiple SSR 50% chargers you're going to run out of party cost to slot 5* event CEs. Gong is good, don't get me wrong, but his farming teams are far from ideal; being horrendously inefficient and slow. He's a good budget option until you get a reliable Arts farmer but the goal should be to retire him ASAP.

I was only missing 1 copy for FLB kaleido that never came to me (Got the Kaleido with the new art instead lol), so I just got that over with.

Black grail does better for farming and nuking bosses tho. Lmao. If you need a battery craft essence. Then just use an event one. Black grail gives refund on your arts loop not even needing a kaleidoscope.

@@ligeringspirit1133 even for farming. Black grail is better. You can 3 turn farm with castoria and any arts servant. While kaleidoscope most servants don’t have enough damage for the 3rd wave resulting in a 4 turn or even a 5 turn.

It's leveling not grailing. You can't grail CEs.
And arguably Buster servants would prefer MLBing your Kscope before your BG. There are certain servants like Morgan and Artoria who can farm plugless with an MLB Kscope/Kscope append but in the case of Morgan/Ibuki, her battery is tied to her main steroid, so you're going to have to clear W1 without it. The 2000 attack stat that an MLB Kscope provides in invaluable in those situations.

Kscope beats Black Grail hands down for newer accounts, but if you already have that I'd argue Prisma is actually better than Black Grail for improving your CQ and Lore farming consistency. Something as simple as slapping Prisma on Mash/Tamamo/Jeanne/Castoria trivializes a lot of really annoying CQ gimmicks.
Also you're crazy for saying 2030 is better than Prisma. 2030 isn't actually good in most CQs because it has no instant value turn 1 unlike NP battery or star bomb, and it's ultimately really random. You can't usually plan a stable long term strategy around 2030 because of that, both because crit star distribution and deck RNG are always a problem. Prisma's **guaranteed** NP refund is something you can always plan around.
I have both in 10 days after starting game in NA 🤣. but after that no copies of them 😭. Volumein something ce 3 copies always on my waiver.

I went with Prisma Cosmos since I already had four copies of it and just needed one more to mlb it.
Yea, I got really lucky with servants early on but not so much with CEs- two years in and I still don't have grail and only got my first kscope last week, so I see a lot of 'with these servants you can one-turn X!' in guides where I have the servants but can't do it anyway.
My jp Moriarty really appreciates the kscope for looping
picked Volumen Hydrargyrum personally, have 1 black grail and 2 k-scope already so I didnt go for them cause it wouldnt have been enough to mlb either.
But since I was severly lacking in defensive CE´s I went with that one instead.
I have 2MLB kscope and an MLB Blackgrail. What i need is 2030... I only have one copy.
I have zero Black Grails and four Scopes. Not to say I have enough Scopes, because I don't have one that's MLB, but it would be nice having a Grail. Plus, I think I would prefer having a Black Grail over having one MLB Scope and zero extra copies. However, if I get a copy of scope before this comes to NA, it will become quite the decision. It helps that I have more than one copy of all the other CEs.
Please don't pick blackgrail. You can no longer get kscope from gacha so it'll remain non mlb unless they make it accessible outside of gacha and blackgrail is still in gacha

@@nknown3982 hey I think you can still get Kscope from the gacha. It hasn't been removed (unlike Imaginary Element, which has been removed from the general CE pool). Wizard Marshal (the kscope version with HP stats) has been added to the gacha, but they didn't replace Kscope with it.

I have literally every single one of these except kscope. And its the most important one out of them all now that koyanskaya came out and I have no oberon :(.
Controversial opinion, I'm probably gonna pick Prisma cosmos, simply because it's the only one I don't have.
That opinion shouldn't even be controversial. Realistically if your account is newer it's the 2nd best option of the bunch simply because slapping it on one of the many defensive Arts units in the game makes CQs a lot easier. Barring absurdly high budget setups (and usually good RNG), not everything can be gimmicked by damage alone in this game.

Kscope provides attack stat whereas WM provides HP, so Kscope is more beneficial than WM for DPSs and d

@@JustARussianFloppa You can now run Arash+Double DPS setups to clear dailies without wasting time on supports. So I wouldn't say it's a bad thing to have two 80% CEs.
The only one of that entire list I don't have is Volumn Hydrangea...The Invul plus damage up.

K-scope if you can't farm smoothly.
Black Grail if you have good NP gauge supports like Waver, Castoria, Oberon, etc.
Volumen Hydrargyrum is also very good to put on budget supports so they don't get 1 shot
Scope of you don't have either, if you have only BG, or if you have both. BG if you have 1 scope, but no BG. Done.
Kscope is the way to go unless you have Castoria and a premier Arts farmer. If you do, BG is more valuable to you than a Kscope.
I would be picking either imaginary around or zero over because I have at least one limit broken version of every other CE. Hell I have two limit broken kscope and one normal kscope

The way I see it, you only need 1 black grail to help loopers where ass kscope can be paired with mana loading for insta nps with no loop needed, meaning you can get 3 kscopes on 3 servants with mana loading maxed out to clear out the different waves (especially helpful for something like a 3 1 3 node)

Imma go for Black Grail as I’m trying to get servants such as Morgan and Koyan light for Buster farming. Have the extra NP damage for Morgan would help especially if I get her to NP2 (this is a hypothetical scenario btw lol).
Neither of them have the value they once had in my opinion. Black grail is definitely more valuable than K scope tho.
It depends. If you're having a new or low-end account a Kaleid is a godsend compared to BG which you won't be able to use more often than not.
Black Grail is only usually better for overkill high budget autopilot best case scenarios like mindlessly farming free quests that have absurdly high HP values (which often isn't even necessary usually with proper Skadi/Castoria setup anyway). Kscope is still the best CE in the game for the most basic and practical purposes, ESPECIALLY if you're using lower rarity servants.

uh if it aint too late, i would recommend you go for kscope if you have good servants who have charge skills and not a fully functioning looping system. just use the three kscopes on three servants and pop their charges and fire np each turn. but if you have a fully functioning system (best example is davinki loli since she basically doesnt lose hp in this) you can go for black grail.
TLDR; Black grail = More damage where Kscope = Easier NPs.
If youre new or relatively not in the lostbelt chapters, kscope is the better option. where since i have a more self sufficient acc, ill take BG in the future

I have 2 black grail, currently using mlb heaven's feel. I do have 4 formal craft so if I get one more I can mlb it, but since black grail is so rare one more copy is always closer to mlb. And my account is late game so no need for kaleidoscope

It depend on servant that owned. If mostly art servant and have their own castoria, then black grail. otherwise kscope.

Everyone knowa wavers "over the horizon" ce is better then them both the lore made me so happy to read plus the game effects go crazy with the secret ability to give iskandar 500% damage buff and 200%charge every turn
