- There is very little maintenance required for your dog grooming Clipper.
However, the 2 things you will have to do periodically are replace the blade drive and occasionally replace the blade hinge assembly. Both parts are inexpensive and easy to replace. The cost of the blade drive for my Wahl Km 10 clipper is 2.99 and the hinge assembly price is 11.99.

Today I will show you how to change the blade hinge and blade drive on my km10 clipper. You need to know: that clipper parts vary depending on the brand of clipper you have, so be specific in your search for replacement parts. I hope you enjoy these dog grooming clipper easy fixes and repairs at home.
You will not have to replace parts on a 5 in 1 clipper because they are designed completely differently from an A5 clipper type. A 5 in 1 clipper does not function the same as A5 style clippers, therefore the parts are not the same.

How do you know when your blade is dull as opposed to something else going on.....?
It drags in the coat instead of glide through like butter. But if the coat is not bathed brushed and dried properly, blades will fail to cut as well. Clean and oil your blade after every use. I have a video showing how to do that.

I never had problems getting the blade back on the Kenchii flash 5 but today it hit the carpet from a couple foot tall fall and the blade popped off now I can not get it to seat all the way it’s like it is on then when I turn it on it falls off
I dropped my Kenchii flash 5 and can not get the blade to seat back on please do a video on it -I don’t know if it’s broke or what I have the pink clippers
We have the Wahl M10 corded they same sound like the cordless before you tightened the blade clip. They have been sent back to Wahl and have been returned to us sound the same way. Do you have any advice on what to say to the Wahl Service center to get them to fix it correctly. Thank you for your help Tim. BTW they are still under warranty.
Amy...you must have ESP. Today, I have been looking at the Wahl KM cordless as a replacement for my Kenchii cordless. I want to order it but am trying to find out if the ceramic blade is available for the KM cordless . Years ago I used a corded clipper on my Cavalier King Charles spaniel, and I had to buy the clipper coolant and stop often because the blade would overheat. Since the Kenchii uses a ceramic blade I really enjoy that it stays cool so I don't have to stop my grooming to let the blade cool down. Any info would be appreciated if the ceramic blade is availabale for the Wahl KM cordless. Thanks
All detachable blades are universal to all detachable blade clippers (A5). Yes, the Joyzze ceramic coated blades are a fit for the KM Cordless.
Note: the ceramic blades to get pretty warm, still need to cool them. They don’t get red hot though. But you need to keep checking them to see through the groom. 🙌

Question so you would use a 6 blade rather than a 7f blade for body of a miniature schnauzer? ThanksLove you videos.
Either is fine on a miniature schnauzer. I usually use a 7F blade on a miniature schnauzer to set the pattern.
I replaced my blade drive and still vibrates.
Tighten the screws on the blade hinge assembly as shown in this video.
