It's been sitting in my library without love for over a year now. After seeing the animated trailer again I felt something. Then I feared the worst, dead player population. But seeing your video has really given me hope again. Never got into it at first, but... I remember my time in Battlefront 2 being a Ace. And I really want to experience that again, BUT BETTER! LONG LIVE THE GALACTIC EMPIRE! THE WAR IS NOT OVER YET!
The action in this game is so fast paced that you truly benefit from a HOTAS setup. And the VR support is one of the best ever. Everything is crisp and smooth.
What I love is how damn difficult the flying is. It makes every single kill feel like an accomplishment. There’s no auto centering or bullshit assists. Not every missile lock is a guaranteed kill. After a mission or multi player, my headset is always covered in sweat.
@@moosedawgatlantaproductions i've swapped the L Roll and R Yaw controls and it feels way more intuitive! Give it a moment for your brain to adjust and feels closer to COD! In a real plane, the stick is for both pitch and roll so this change creates a more realistic feel! I also got rid of the R3 Free Look Around as it kept accidentaly engaging in the heat of battle😡! Hope this helps😁
@@WEREWOLFUSMC thanks for the tips! I recently acquired pedals for the yaw and have entered a whole new world of immersion. Drifting has become some damn fun! The stick handling both felt way too unnatural.
This was my favorite game for a long time with the player base was decent. I loved the ranked matches so much I even joined a team to play more competitively and then it died and is sad
@@SerLava Damn that sucks. I never got into the multiplayer side of the game, however I got PSVR specifically for it, and got into the campaign. It really is an awesome game
Has anyone looked back in the vehicle cockpits in VR? It's insane on some of them like the TIE Bomber & Reaper, and the U-Wing. They did great VR on this game.
I paid like 7 or 8 bucks for the disk and it's a fun cool game but man it's also pretty hard/complicated because there's so many different moves/button commands to remember And sometimes some commands don't always seem to work right, but idk that could just be my controller
Yes! The power shifting is a real skill. You can do fairly well by just leaving your power settings on something relatively balanced. But the real technique is constantly moving power to the system you need it on, and knowing the order to overcharge each system as you fly towards combat. Also I play with 2 joysticks with quite a few buttons on em 😅
It would honestly be too random, with people suddenly popping near max weapons range. That randomness would only work for a 64vs64 game or something, and this is 5v5. There are more expensive ships in star wars that take more hits, and that's what everyone is flying- it's two elite squadrons vs each other.
it's a good game but I wish it had the option to change to 3rd person view or other views , it got really tiresome being restricting only looking at the cockpit.
It's not completely dead, every time they do a deal it gets real easy to find a match. I still can't seem to get into a fleet battle though, I dont know why.
@@SerLava i can legit only play bots besides peak times on the weekends, and its not like I have bad internet either. But thats ok i guess because im absolute trash and the one live game i got into i kept getting downed almosy immediately 😂

It's so good and yeah HOTAS rocks for this. I actually run dual-stick and it feels SO COOL, and it makes you perform way better than controller.

Yeah I grabbed dual sticks for this and a couple other games, it was worth it, it felt sooo real with VR and 2 sticks.

😔 it still has some playership in spurts but I've only been able to get into dogfight matches for the past year. Not a single fleet battle.

There's enough space in the back of the bomber to have a small party.

It being arcadey isn't a good thing...a flight game like this should be realistic and should only take a few shots to kill the enemy...not 25 shots

The battlefront 2 flight sections cannot even compare to Squadrons. Duplos to legos
