What media outlets AREN’T saying is, the Los Angeles Innocence Project (LAIP) is “an organization who provides pro-bono investigative service and legal representation to Central/Southern California residents who were convicted of crimes *they* say they did not commit”.
That is directly from their website.
The LAIP is NOT part of the California Innocence Project, whom are the ones who ONLY get involved in a case where there is DNA, AND, a realistic chance someone has been wrongly convicted.
      They won’t touch this case.
The LAIP is actually known for taking on indigent clients; Scott Peterson is out of funds & his previous Attorneys don’t work for free. This was an inevitable, not a “bombshell”. The news outlets who didn’t do their homework, prior to attempting to portray it any differently, are looking a bit foolish to those who did.

Lacy saw the boat. He's guilty of the affair and her body washed up a few miles from where he was fishing months later. Zero evidence that he killed her. There’s no solid evidence he did it but there’s solid evidence/witness that saw her after he was already on his boat and witnesses that saw him on his boat and didn’t see anything that looked like a body on the little boat. He should at the very least, be given a new trial.

He said he didn’t see anything the boat when Scott left the dock and would have seen it because of how little the boat is. All witness have done interviews that they would testify and no one ever called them to go to court. The guy at the boat dock even said he called multiple times because he was due to leave to his another state or something and they said they didn’t need his testimony. Here's the thing he is 100% innocent, and it's very easy to prove if he killed her and released there dog why didn't the witnesses that watched him leave see him open the gate and release the dog? If the gate was already open when he was leaving why didn't the witnesses report that and why didn't one of the close the gate? Everyone in the neighborhood knew the dog got loose all the time. And if he came back and opened the gate minutes after he left why didn't his phone ping on the towers on his way back like they did when he returned home hours later? It's because he didn't let the dog loose and couldn't have been the one who left the gate open for the lady who supposedly put their dog back in their backyard minutes later to find? If it wasn't Scott which it obviously wasn't who else could've left the gate open? I'll tell you who the only other person who would've been there to open the gate...Laci ! Laci's the only one who could've left the gate open because there's no way Scott could've left it open because he was already gone and we know for a fact that he didn't return home until hours later. Laci leaving the gate open while she walked the dog actually fits the time line perfectly except for one little thing Karen Servas said she found their dog a put it in there back yard and closed the gate the was left open at 10:20 am but witnesses said they saw Laci walking her dog around 10:30 , Scott left around 10 am and the neighbors house across the street was burglarized around 10:33 am so so one of the time lines doesn't fit and that's Karen's time line how could she and found and put their dog back at 10:20 if Laci was seen walking her dog at 10:30? Could it be that the witnesses that seen Laci walking her dog are are lying? Or is it more likely that Karen is lying about putting there dog back at 10:20 could it be that Karen didn't actually put their dog back and only seen there dog return while taking the items she bought at the store and her phone into her house and didn't actually know the time she saw the dog return and perhaps after taking everything into her home she that went and closed their gate and saw the leash was muddy and the proceeded to lie to the police about what actually happened and what time it actually happened and used old receipts from earlier in the day to help solidify her lie so she would look like a a hero and a good neighbor. I 100% think Karen lied and that it's easy to prove she lied. Ps cell phones only ping on cellphone towers once unless you leave and come back to that tower.

It's not strange at all that he would go back to the bay where he dumped her even as frigid cold it is to make the bodies are not floating back up or traces of dumping end up on the shoreline. Bay waters are turbulent and does that. Those other burglars presumably have no ties to boating in the bay. If they wanted to get rid of Laci's bodies, why would they take the trouble to drive nearly 100 miles/1.5 hrs drive to SF Bay where they have no boat or associations at all.. from Modesto? If you follow murders, the first thing criminals do is get rid of the body as fast as possible as inconspicuous as possible - by burial. The association with the SF Bay is firmly Peterson. We live in SF and people generally don't go out boating to fish in late December. They might go to the piers to fish, but not boating.
