I went for Plasma rather than LCD back in 2012 when I got my first flat screen TV. I went into the Panasonic store in Bristol and Wimbledon tennis was on all the TVs in the shop and the whites looked white and the grass looked a proper green colour on the Plasmas, the LCDs looked rather blue when compared side by side.
The later Panasonic plasmas are thankfully much lighter, I picked up a later 50" one around 5 years ago with a 4 blink fault for £20 & i couldn't find an answer to that code at the time either!, So I started searching for boards on 'the bay' & they were fetching ridiculous money, Not knowing what board I needed it could end up getting too expensive, But then one ad caught my eye of an identical model with a broken screen local to me, I Managed to win it for £4-99 including the remote (Happy days!)!, So i just cheated & swapped all the boards over & now working perfectly 5 years on.
@@jamesduwar1760 I wish i could tell you, I should have changed one board at a time to answer the 4 blinks mystery, But I took the lazy way out as I was getting nagged by my ex as she was missing her soap operas. got it done quick for a quiet life!.
I have a Panasonic plasma tested and ready to go out on sale. Trouble is - no stand. Apparently it was wall mounted. Must've been a bloody strong wall. Hope that house had flying buttresses or something.
I still like Plasma's but when they go wrong those blink codes are not always that helpful. The biggest reason that causes a lot of issues is loose ground screws, these are due to the amount of heat and can wipe out boards. My Pioneer Kuro is still working and apart from an annual screw tightening has yet to show any blinking codes, i will keep my fingers crossed. See you in part 2 Allen
BEAR Approved? Talk about a butch TV. And all those fans. I thought they were speakers for super luxurious surround sound. With that many fans I think the TV could probably hover around like your drone. Panasonic Drone Plasma TV!!!
What's 10 blinks ? My 39 in panny boots up and stays on for 5 mins..then it goes off and flashes 10 times .. didn't run 50 hours over the 20 years it's been in bedroom....worth fixing lad ?😊
Check that you do not have a speaker that is shorted to ground as that fault will cause a 9 blink code which is usually audio related.

See you in part 2 Allen
On any plasma TV you have to take out all the components and clean properly
It really is on the blink.
Older tvs if the screen wasn't broken it was fixable now with newer 4k lcds the screen can be intact but the tv is a paper waight due to shorted cofs
There is even an 11 blink code. Have you ever seen one?

You should clean all the dust first and then test the tv. Same time on plasma TV's just a dusty.
Speaker short
