- This video is a "how to" on how to calibrate your Innovate Motorsports MTX-L. In this video will have an E8 error indicating a possible bad sensor. This error is unfortunately on a brand new Bosch LSU 4.9 part number 0258017025 (17025).
I didn't use the supplied sensor bung by Innovate Motorsports but now I have included their HBX-1 wideband extender to further help with longevity on these LSU 4.9 sensors.
Innovate afr gauges are actually terrible....
The aem I had never skipped a beat no matter what fuel was thrown at it.....
Innovate gouges are great just not the afr..
I have 3 Gauges and 2 sensors and both keep coming up with thus code
I was told it needs a firmware update
Hello. Did it work ok after the firmware update? This sounds like a common error with the MTX-L kit.
@@dalamar6228 no, it needed a new sensor... and now I need another sensor
I changed yesterday new sensor and it worked ok as i test drove it. Today E8 again. Very frustrating. As a new it worked almost 1 year before first E8.
Did you fix it was it the sensor?
It was a defective sensor. I'm going to relocate the sensor farther when I redo the piping. I have the sensor extender for the time being to help with the heating issue
@@RedzoneHI_Celica thx just got the code yesterday after I accidentally disconnected my ground while gauge was on,I probably fried the sensor
@@rj6198 code e8 or e7? I'm assuming you tried to recal already.
@@RedzoneHI_Celica code e8 yea I tried calibrating
I don't get it, how can the sensor not handle the heat when the ecu sensor holds up just fine?
