      Did you do one on this already? I know you have way more of them than I do. Lol.

      @@V8sareslow1 Nah, not at all! I just get so many people telling me to ditch my innovate sensor that I had to watch. I've never had a problem with my Innovate equipment that didn't come from me damaging a component, like the cable. At least not yet... but I do own 4 4g63 powered things, and only 2 Innovate Wideband kits currently, so... perhaps I can measure my future Wideband kits with a ratio instead of whole numbers?
      I really like all the great info you've shared like the various MAF sensor mods and options and such. Your experience is gold. I always sit here nodding my head up and down agreeing with everything you've shared, so naturally I wanted to see what everyone's complaints were about.

      The only real complaints I had with this is 1.) The wiring which is nowhere near as simple as the mtxl because you'll have no idea you need to split a wire to make it read correctly, and 2.) I can never remember how to do the calibration so I'm always having to look it up.
      As far as performance wise, I had zero issues with it. Just got tired of calibrating is all because if I needed to do it and I didn't have access to internet, I'd be in trouble. Had a head gasket that was leaking and dumped plenty of water on the sensor so I replaced it with a spare I had laying around but that one went bad as well, so figured heck, I'll just try out that AEM I've been wanting to try out and it really cleaned up the rat's nest I had under the dash.
      I feel the mtxl would more closely resemble this AEM as far as simplicity with wiring and all. Calibration, I'm unsure of. But this is just regarding the DB red, blue, and green gauges.
      Lastly, appreciate your input. Feel honored that you're watching "mine" cause you obviously know much more than I do. But I'm trying to share what I know to help others the best I can.

      @@V8sareslow1 I think Vinnie Colaiuta said it best, "You can't be everything. Nobody is everything. You just do what you do, and you try to do that as well as you can. And if somebody doesn't like it, too bad."
      I'm not everything. I don't know everything. I try to do the best with what I know. For what I don't know, I look for answers. I just appreciate people who are honest about their experience. Whenever I find an answer, I subscribe to that person because they saved me a lot of time. Of course it never hurts when they're making DSM videos. lol. That's like greasing the subscribe button for me. I'm pretty sure I subscribed to you a good while ago... like... a half decade ago... because I've seen your old drag passes and I've watched your transmission stuff. Don't let me being here change anything... you're doing just fine!
      The MTX-L is a completely different model than my LC2. The price is exactly the same but the features are very different. For instance, my gauge doesn't have the sweeping LED thing at all. All I get is AFR # I'm curious if the people who keep telling me to ditch this thing have experience with a different, or the same sensor? Or whether the gauges are used for a dozen different kinds of models? It could be that mine uses the same gauge as a different problematic unit? If my luck changes with it, I'll explore other options. If it's AEM, I'll come back to remind myself about... splitting a wire?

      Yeah, my DB Blue doesn't have that sweeping thing either. Just the numbers. I've fired it up and I love it so far but not ready to make another video juuuuust yet. Close though.
      Anyway, assuming you're probably not on Facebook (because people would probably never leave you alone, lol), but if you are, can feel free to send out a request if you'd like.
      Was gonna try and make some videos at the track this weekend but my ideas and the weather's ideas aren't the same.

    I have a 2g and just purchased AEM's latest wideband X UEGO. If I keep my factory 02 sensors in place and weld in a bung in-between, then where do I connect the wideband's white wire if I'm not using pin 75 (rear O2) or 76 (front) on the ECU? Also, which settings do I set in ECMLink to read the wideband sensor if not using one of the stock 02 ECU inputs? Thanks for your help.

    • @V8sareslow1
      @V8sareslow1  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@darrenlombardo9960 you'll use the rear O2 input. I believe it's a white wire if memory serves me correctly. The stock rear O2 just won't be used. Cut the wire and connect the wire from the wideband to the ecu. The other side (going to the stock sensor) just won't be used.
      Best to set it up as linear and input the voltages that you have in the AEM instructions.
