- BLUELOCK's newest character, Charles Chevalier is one of the BEST players we've seen in the series and has so much potential. Being only 15 years old, the young prodigy has been promising with the so few chapters we've got of him, so in today's video I'll be analyzing Charles' abilities, feats, and development, to determine if he is New Gen XI level.

Probably Rin, Shidou, Barou, Bachira and Isagi are also all on a similar enough level to the new gen 11

I think if he was a NG11, they would've explicitly stated that. I think Charles will eventually break a sweat due to stress/panic when BM is on a roll, and that will make Loki step in. Charles does have the potential that's why Loki is interested in him, but he's not there yet.

@@Trueblade251 Charles isn’t really serious either because PXG is so stacked so he’s just being a kid and trolling. The difference between sae and Charles is Charles hasn’t shown the willingness to score a goal. Which sae undoubtably can do and will do even if he doesn’t want to. And sae’s ability to dribble pass defenders. But passing ability and reading the field is equal right now.
@@lumi2519 No, not better. Sae's passes were always absolutely perfect to the player, no matter who it was. While Shidou needed Sae in order to score his best goals, Charles needed Shidou to actually make use of his passes. Not to mention dribbling. Sae nearly solo'd entire blue lock when he was taking it up a notch

I mean why else would they build up players wanting to win the World Cup also this manga was made in response to japan losing the World Cup tournament in real life so it’s most likely going to have a World Cup arc
Charles gives a vibe both from his appearance and lines so far in the manga like a spoiled brat, and his eyes look like a dart board. So I could see he motive being to simply show how above he is to his competitors, and his skill to make bullseye passes. Hot take for sure though on a character that hasn't had much story time, even if he's young. Reminds me when people judged Lorenzo for being NewGen XI as a defender.
i thought the last chapter set up the rivalry between Hiyori and Charles. The dialog at the end of the chapter hinted towards that since it said both kunigami and hiyori have to overcome their 1v1s vs Shidou and Charles. I think ascribing charles to be Isagi's rival is too out of bounds since Isagi is moving towards being seen as a striker at the end of the NEL.

Its kinda strange because loki is 17 and charles is 15, while the new gen 11s are all u20 players but 18-19… so why wouldnt loki, who is master level, be NG11??

Im curious about the length of blue lock… this arc will going up to chapter 280-300.. I think, that we will not see the full u20 wc, cause of the lenth of blue lock… the real World Cup will be the final of blue lock… maybe blue lock will be around 800 chapter… if we see the u20, a champions league (a bigger neo egoist tournament arc) and the real World Cup… I will be around 1000 chapter… that’s insane… I’m currently 25… if blue lock will beat the 1000 chapter I’m about 42… that’s CRAZY 😂😂

He ain't there yet. I feel like he's the opposite of Shidou and Sae, ironically with Shidou. Shidou needed Sae who could actually give him a challenge with his passing. Sae delivered the most optimal to Shidou.
Charles is the reverse situation. He needed Shidou, the player who didn't even think about it and just rushed to where he thought was most optimal to score. Shidou needed Sae, Charles needed Shidou.
He's getting there, probably right at the line of crossing into NG11 territory, but he needs more experience (hence why Loki dragged him into the NEL). Kid's only 15

If the new gen 11 is one of each position (minus double up positions) then he is cause Sae is just cinsidered a better player in their position if it isnt i dont think he is otherwise hed be one of them or stated at that level already

I think Charles will play in u23 because if blue lock is really inspired by real football then the federation decides who plays on which level rather then the pkayer themselves as we have seen spain playing pedri n gavi both with main team n u23 also n they also had to participate in Olympics too.......

i would like to say that it is because loki is training charles that charles is likely to appear in the U-20 world cup if not then why he appear in the NEO egoist league (which is to awaken him as loki said and what if he still needs to awaken even more or finer polishing f his awakening) after all he is still playing with under 20 kids even if he is talented the fact that he is using pressure from playing with under-20's for his awakening means he is clearly not on the level to yet and would play in the u-20 world cup

I am pretty sure it has to do with his age being 15. FIFA has a legislation that clubs cannot sign a professional contract with a player under the age of 17 I believe

Because if they were the same level as new gen (sae) in terms of passing, then isagi could not have intercepted a single pass from ness, he could only hardly intercept 1 sae pass when sae wasnt even trying but he intercepted many ness passes when ness was trying, heck, even kunigami intercepted ness' passes
