    It's not Lead Rhythm, it's Lead Randall for Randall Satan and Lead Fortin for Fortin Natas. For me the plugin it's pretty cool. I'm waiting for the new update with new technology and new chorus en the Rack FX.

    This plugin is my favorite so far from Audio Assault! Just bought it and I´ve tested all. Love it!

    I tried the original version of this and didn't really care for it, this seems like an improvement and at least you got a pretty much useable sound out of it in the mix. This is definitely a good idea for a series

    I don't like the initial channel Hellbeast comes up on, try using the Natas channel. It's thicker and doesn't have that glassy djent kitty sound quality as much. It's a lot more well rounded.
    Ironically I have the same problem with the mid character with the Neural Fortin nameless. It's got this stringy top end and the mids are nasally and pushed. But nobody talks bad about Neural so it's not mentioned lol. Much prefer the Cali or NTS suites from them.
    It's all just preference I guess. I think this is a great update over v1. And that mic position feature is a nice touch. :)
    cheers Scott. Looking forward to more in this series.

      Agreed with you, Cali all the way

    Nice Nile riffs dude. I feel like many amps sims lack harmonic overtone content. Like when you do a pinch harmonic, it should really sing. That's always the first thing I check with new plugins.

    • @ChernobylAudio666
      @ChernobylAudio666  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's a good point, I'll start doing that as well

    • @cmd_f5
      @cmd_f5 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes indeed. With most of the AA line they don't have heavy, complex harmonic overtones when squealing or really hitting a power chord hard. Bulldog is way, way closer, sounds like they've figured it out. But things like Sigma and Hellbeast still have these overly shiny harmonics. They're not crunchy as I think they should be.
      And this is a cool series. :)

  • @lordapophis93
    @lordapophis93 3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I tend to prefer Sigma or RVXX myself, but the new Bulldog is also cool. Haven't messed with that toooo much tho. Nice video bro.

    Agree with you here Scott. It's not a bad plugin for the price, but I prefer some of their other offerings, like the RXVV and the Bulldog.

  • @Metalpazallteway
    @Metalpazallteway 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    If you were to rate AA series, what order would you go in from best to least usable. Sigma to AHM, Bulldog, RVXX? etc

    • @cmd_f5
      @cmd_f5 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I would say especially after these EX updates they've been putting out, it's too soon for hellbeast EX in this list as it's not out yet.
      1. Sigma EX.
      2. AHM5050 v3.
      3. Bulldog.
      4. RVXX.
      5. Reamp Studio r1. By far the least convincing though it's still got some goodies worth checking out.
      Ironically I still mess around with Grindmachine v1. With some external IR's it's perfect for a cold and rubbery death metal tone. Sounds like an old 90s guitar multi fx unit and that's kinda cool.
      Klank for bass is ok but theres a bug when recalling a preset or project that uses the compressor. Hope they fix that shit.
      Cheers

      @@cmd_f5 Awesome bro. Thanks for the feedback I bought the AHM because i thought it was punchier but i find the Sigma might be slightly better for some things in natural tones. I did buy the bulldog and it hasn't disappointed you just need to tweak the settings a bit more but nonetheless really worth it.

    I agree completely, I feel like Audio Assault has improved quite a bit from the early days but they concentrate far too much on delivering product after product on a quick turnout. I like the RVXX V2 quite a lot but yeah this one I haven’t gelled with too too much.
    Great video Scott.

  • @jeffbridges6110
    @jeffbridges6110 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    I thought it actually sounded pretty decent in the mix. But I could hear where some low-mid needed to be carved. ToneLib GFX is pretty cool to play with.

    • @cmd_f5
      @cmd_f5 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      AA don't suck with their emulations much, it's just about their IR quality. Almost fuck all with good finders without buying a pack. Thankfully that died off with (yet again) these updates. AA is nothing if not hard working. We should remember that

  • @luismorsa666
    @luismorsa666 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Great video man, I got a question, why do you test the amp in stereo with the left and right channels being the same guitar signal instead of trying it in mono with one signal?

    • @ChernobylAudio666
      @ChernobylAudio666  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      For me it's easier to understand the potential of the amp as it's going to get double-tracked anyway
