My memory of him was quite faded by the time he made a cinematic appearance in … one of the X-MEN movies many fans don’t like to acknowledge. Even with my faded recollection, that appearance was incredibly underwhelming. I was one of those really excited to understand his name had appeared in X2 (I had forgotten his real name by that time). Watching this …. Yeah, no wonder more devoted fans than me were so very vocally unhappy with that appearance. It’s such a trash treatment of a bunch of heroes, I’m not surprised that people wouldn’t even know he was in it. It’s a forgettable appearance. I watched that movie again and was surprised he was in more than just one scene. My condolences to that actor. He was probably stoked to play the part. The way the MCU has been doing things, people are going to be so very excited when they catch wind of him making his MCU debut.
@@jjoworld I view the MCU films as coming into a bit of maturity across the 20+ movies there have been. The Harry Potter movies are an easy parallel; the stories mature with Harry. Captain America goes through a kind of arc where he learns to grow up, too. (Age of Ultron versus Endgame and how he responds to swearing.) It’s a tough line to walk, I think, making more movies that continue to fit meaningfully into that universe, but also not required viewing for full arc, when accounting for parental considerations of not just the kids alive as the movies are made, but the library of movies that will exist in 20 years when a new young person is discovering this generations old series of films. Walk that line, because those same kids are going to grow up and decide whether those same films have rewatch value as adults. Tricky thing, because the above is both an argument to maintain, but also an argument to spread out. That’s why Deadpool gets his R rating. His stories are in the universe, but they play with the universe in specifically mature ways. This is the edge to his jokes about other X-MEN not appearing in his movies - the studio has to tread carefully when making “lighter” movies with those characters and then having Deadpool show up. Logan gets to be part of that maturity, too, thankfully-finally the consistently fatal wounds he delivers are depicted without a gloss coating that allows us to forget THE WOUNDS HE DELIVERS ARE CONSISTENTLY FATAL. Given everything that’s in this video, about Gambit’s life, there definitely could be a very mature film about this character - and there are tons of us fans that would love to see just that. Frankly, I’d love to see the MCU continue to branch, like that, though. Make movies for this universe that reach different genres than just action (main focus) and comedy (Guardians films), but more real drama (Logan) or even horror, family - whatever else, because these movies ultimately deserve to be diverse in all aspects. By my view, most of the MARVEL movies have been pretty darn good. There have been a few that sucked; but there have also been a few that are damn good.
Gambit and Morph had the best charisma but ofcourse Morph was eliminated then came back but was under sinister control. Gambit was never given enough love on the movies.

As an actual Cajun from South Central Louisiana, Remy has always been one of my most favoritest characters. Largely because he's mostly been well-written, without being satirised by an overuse of the common stereotypes and tropes about Cajuns and Cajun culture. TL;DR - he's an interesting character with actual depth 😺😻

Call me crazy or woke or what ever, but I think gambit should be light skin, specifically half white Cajun half black creole. That could bring some extra drama to the white devil origin if he is a fair skinned baby born to a black woman, and also makes the the thieves guild and mister sinister basically enslaving him hit a little harder without taking any of the Cajun origins away from him.

Not power couple more like an underrated couple, because with characters like Wolverine,professor x,magneto,cyclops,storm,gean they formed the crux of the team so they elaborated their storyline more because the viewers kept absorbing them

Gambit has always been my favorite mutant. Not only has he been through shit in his life with struggle but he's also an alpha and didn't know it till later. He's also humble.
My favorite growing up in the 90's... however, I think I would throw dice instead of cards.

Not power couple more like an underrated couple, because with characters like Wolverine,professor x,magneto,cyclops,storm,gean they formed the crux of the team so they elaborated their storyline more because the viewers kept absorbing them

So much potential for Gambit my favorite character since I was a child, they could make a trilogy on his story, although it would be good if they were R rated movies, PG-13 +s don't do it for me! I have his eyebrows and the hair, time to hit the gym and get the 10 pack for Halloween!
