Happy New Year!! We went down to the storage yard to get the caravan ready for a 2 night stay we are going to be doing in January we had lots of new kitchen wear to put away.
what I do is either make the bed at the front and put all fragile items on there like your tv and cutlery or just put them on the sofa with pillows on top
Hi both. Wouldn't worry about plates and cups in the cupboards. We always leave ours in. Just to stop them falling forward we pack the front with a couple of t towels. Stuff in the cupboards we put in plastic storage boxes so they are held in by the cupboard lips. Nothing fancy, just b&m cheap ones. Enjoy your trip. 😍
Hi thank you for the info we are going to leave the cups and plates like you said think we will move the bowls into a plastic container thank you for your comment
Only just came across your channel this evening. And going through your videos. Think there great. As I’ve just purchased my first van and will be going on my maiden voyage very soon. So great to pick up some tips from yourselves. 👍
We leave our plates etc in the rack, never been a problem. Just remember anything heavy needs to be stored low down towards the axel where possible. We carry the groceries etc in the car in a cool bag to save weight. Have a great weekend and bring on the better weather although we do caravan all year round. 🤗
I have lined all my upper cupboards with a rubberised non slip mesh stuff that you can get on eBay or in camp shops quite cheaply. I bought a bright colour so if it rucks up, I can see it. I then put everything in on top of it and it all stays put. Hope you enjoy your weekend away and the weather is kind to you 👍
Hi We picked a tip up from another you tuber , we use the scatter cushions from the sofa and the pillows from the bed , pop them in the lockers , nothing will move then and easier than packing everything up ! So easy !! X
Are you plates pot or plastic? We leave ours in, but we have catches on our cupboard doors. You could use elastic cords to hold them down and and in place, have a hook system to make it a quick release when on site. You don’t want to mess about packing and unpacking every time.
No they are not plastic. That is a good idea a lot of people have said that they leave them in the plate holder and never had a problem like you said don’t really want to mess about packing and unpacking all the time thanks for the tip 😊
I put small groceries in plastic Bowes fit in cupboards nicely. Plates cups and glasses in holder's provided in cupboards. Never a problem. Enjoy your time away. X
Oh that’s ok then we just wasn’t sure if all the plates would fly out everywhere 😂 not like I am a mad driver or anything. We have got some plastic boxes so will be doing the same 😊
That bunk bed is a brilliant idea! Never seen one of those before and btw we just carry a couple of large storage boxes to put all our kitchen stuff in, never know if you hit a big pot hole lol, enjoy!!!! 👍
The bunk bed holds upto 11 stone so ok for small children, we went out and got a load of plastic boxes just to be safe some of our roads and be quiet bumpy and like you said pot holes are everywhere lol
Have a great time guy. You’ll love it and the kids too, kids love caravan holidays. You seam to have got yourself a really nice van. All the best and remember it all a learning curve.

With kitchen stuff, I just pack everything tightly in the cupboard so nothing can move. It works for me.
