They're not exactly goth, but they're dressed in black for a reason ! She's actually singing stuff like: "Love and death share the same color." "a poison in your veins, your flesh mingled with mine. And under the perfumes, in the hollow of my loins, the smell of death" "My heart stopped beating" "Under my frozen skin, my heart will never beat again" . If we really have to categorize them (and we don't), I guess we can say they're Dark romantics :) . Also I recommend they other track "Six pieds sous terre" (six feet under), which is even better :)
To some degree, but in France the cold wave subculture definitely blurred the lines. Opera du Nuit, Message, Norma Loy, Babel 17, Guerre Froide, Neva, Asylum Party, and many more were quite gothic as well as making minimal/futurist music…hence, “cold wave”. The Wierd party in NYC where I was one of the house DJs was all about this kind of thing (albeit 20 years later, when it started the rebirth of minimal wave and cold wave in 2006). I was/am a goth and our crowd was mostly goth/postpunk/death rock/industrial and noise/synth nerds. But everyone found common ground in music like this and we broke a lot of bands leading the neo cold wave, like automelodi, void vision, xeno & oaklander, and martial canterel. Cold wave = best wave.
@@AvanaVana of course there were and are Bands who blurred the lines and distinction if often quite hard, yet in the 80ies there was a difference between the Goth appearance, like the Batcave Bands, and Bands who wore other Styles, Raincoat Bands like Joy Division also were a thing of their own. Gothic in Sound, but not Goth in fashion. Bands who wore fantastic Uniforms and outfits were known as Futurists in the UK... often mistaken for New Romantics, but thoso wore more makeup and ruffles.
LYRICS : Say you love me, say you love me. Il était tard me croyant perdue tu me parlais sans savoir Pourquoi j'étais là ? Say you love me say you love me.
Absolutely love this. The girl is a dream
I love these French Coldwave groups!

GREAT BAND THAT GOOD 80'S MUSIC.
She's not goth, she's futurist! People still make these mistakes... but those were two different fashions back then.
So she was just an 80's' nerd? :D
Yep I got that the second the first guy started drumming.

Je crois que c'était produit par Daho.
Ca sonne amateur, mais à l'époque tu t'habillais comme Bob l'éponge devant un synthé et ça marchait!
