Oleg Parastaev, this cool keyboardist with glasses (and the author of this channel), left our world this morning. He was 61 years old. Good night sweet prince. Rest in peace...
Such very sad news. In the twilight of his life he probably introduced more people to quality USSR rock music than anyone else just through this song. It's a real rabbit hole to go down if you aren't familiar with Soviet rock. So much to be heard now by many. May he RIP.
This was the last song I listened to with my father. He was diagnosed with brain cancer in May. He was operated on and came home in June. He was given 3 months to live. Throughout the summer we've listened to tons of songs, including this one. But this one touched us both. We even discussed how badly we feel about Oleg Parastaev's death. My dad passed away on the 15th of August, but this song will always remind me of him. Thank you Alliance

@@foxmulder3785I don't think that this song has "no meaning", it has a rather hidden meaning. I think people of this time were eagerly awaiting the new spirit of optimism under Gorbachev's glasnost and perestroika. The culture in the Soviet Union has never been as open and free as it was then, and the song expresses that spirit very well in my opinion, even if the words may seem rather trivial to you. (At dawn the heavens call to me) says it all to me. And look into their faces!

That is possible if ALL people are educated properly, do not have greed, have high moral values, respect and care for one-another. It would require high level discipline from all.

That is possible if ALL people are educated properly, do not have greed, have high moral values, respect and care for one-another. It would require high level discipline from all. In a way Soviet Union was agood example of this - many cultures and ethnicities lived together as ONE! But West wanted it destroyed, and Soviet Union vanished with, along wit people's dreams of the future.

I clicked on this expecting to get a good laugh at some cheesy 80s effects, cliches, etc., but this was actually really good! Yeah, it's very 80s, but there's nothing wrong with something being "of its time," especially when it's the 80s. I hope they enjoyed some success!

"спутник жизни" - "companion for life"
half-sputnik lover :')
I hope the bottom half is the girl part.

Greatest synth pop song I've ever heard.
That boss with the moustache playing the synth is Gord. He worked at the corner store where the rest of the guys bought their smokes, and whenever they came in, he'd always drop hints that he wants to play in their band ("oh you guys play synthpop? cool cool... y'know i play a little synth myself...")
In the lead-up to the band's tv debut, one of their synth players got cold feet and went AWOL. Luckily, Gord was available. He was ready. He knew all their songs. He closed shop for the afternoon and seized this once in a lifetime opportunity. What you see here is the happiest moment of his life.
I COMPLETELY AGREE 😆😃🤣🙂☺️😎
