This is perfect and exactly what I was questioning as to how someone comes up with cords from a melody. Thank you so much for sharing these tips and breaking it down in an easy-to-understand manner.
Oh my god, I've been searching for a short, easy-to-understand chord tutorial for like my whole life LOL, since i'm not good at musical theory, and this video is just, everything. Thank you!
This is a truly magnificent method of teaching novices such as myself about melody to chords, or any subject for that matter. I've always said; if the teacher knows how to express their knowledge then the student/pupil usually gets it. That's just it, your method of expressing your know how is faultless. Not all teachers have this ability. Many thanks to you
I agree but I'm still not sure what he did at the end part when he played it the last time. It sounded like a completely different melody pretty much. I thought it was broken chords but then he was playing the chords on the right side of the piano and the melody was on the left and was different to what was before so I'm just not sure about that bit. What was that? The part where he mentions getting comfortable with it and it can sound good.
