SNES Bowser Castle 3 changed so much from the original to the point where it's almost a completely new track.
Track got the base game GBA treatment basically
SNES Bowser Castle 3 & 3DS Rosalina Ice world are my favorite
they actually tried instead of making it comedically faithful for the first time (there's also donut Plains which is pretty good, but still)
And I like that!

SNES Bowser Castle 3 had definitely the biggest glow up. Considering the criticism that the first waves had because of how their graphics looked, that course is the opposite to that, it looks and feels as if it came from the base game
What's nice about the early tracks from SNES and GBA is that because they're originally so flat and basic, they have a chance to completely overhaul them and make all sorts of new creative decisions to give them an identity of their own.
But then they dropped the ball on gba sunset wilds by keeping it flat and making it worse than the original
I know some people dislike the way Wii Rainbow Road looks now, but tbf, MK8 always goes for the futuristic vibe over the magical vibe so this was imo the best we were gonna get, and i do love the new look it has, it works so well imo.
And thank god they didn't use the hideous colours the Tour version had and went for the pastel palette instead.
Tour's colors were great and far better than mk wii's, tour's at least didn't feel washed out like wii's
@@Kalanken Tour's was quite generic, like, honestly i don't see how it looks washed out at all, not to mention that it's literally a huge part of it's identity as a Rainbow Road, without pastel colors it's just another Rainbow Road of the bunch visually, and they clearly didn't do much to make it more visually unique by reusing the planets and Moon from 7's, so the colors need to be like this, you can disagree and i respect it but to me it's just better this way.

Don't forget that in the original Wii Rainbow Road, there are less guardrails than in 8 Deluxe which it has more guardrails making it less difficult and challenging than the original one.
I wish Nintendo would’ve upgraded the textures of previous waves so the courses could all look gorgeous like Wave 6! Like i mean, the grass in Wave 6 😍 vs the grass in wave 1 🤮

I feel like some of the design choices for wii rainbow road were better. Like the transparency and lack of gates
This is probably the best wave visually speaking all the tracks are beautiful. Bowser Castle 3 SNES is literally a new track. Very satisfied with this wave.
I absolutely love Piranha Plant Cove. Loved it in Tour. For some reason in 8DX, it feels more bigger and open, which I like.
It's a shame that R.O.B, Donkey Kong Jr.,Paratroopa, and Honey Queen never got to join

DK jr was in Tour, yes the others didn't make it but guessing in next new Mario Kart game they can appear.
Tour Rome Avanti's crowd-control arrows in 8 Deluxe are exactly the same as Tour's, so I'm glad some of them are kept, Yoshi has the staff time for 200cc in the course, and the music is great as well.
Tour Madrid Drive also still has the soccer balls with the Goomba Shoes in the stadium.
I'd take Petey to Piranha Plant Cove.
The burning sound is returned in Wii Rainbow Road in 8 Deluxe, making it almost like the original.

Wii Rainbow Road was beautiful in the original, but it looks even BEAUTIFUL in MK8D!
0:10 I didn’t expect Rosalina’s ice world to get into the booster course pass. The only pic I have about it is around here. There’s an iceberg that disappears around lamp to Imari part seven you can see the ice that disappears when eat the wax you can’t.

Still salty that the Wuhu Island tracks and Shy Guys Bazar didn't make a return
Wuhu Island Loop (Wuhu Loop) wasn’t in Tour and thus never had a chance
I have the question if the textures of the previous waves have improved, I still don't have it available in my region, does anyone know if they have improved a little or are they still the same?
They have improved a little (in my opinion)
I still feel bummed that they didn't go back and update sunset wilds to have the sky change. like how they updated coconut mall with the cars moving. since it didn't happen this time, that probably means it's just not happening :(
Likely not because the updates in Deluxe are done but maybe they may add more new Mii suits and characters after booster pass DLC is done but probably saving that in new Mario Kart game.

As I want nikki from swapnote (or any of the warioware cast) as playable character and Ds airship fortress back , I prefer Mario kart 10

No, he’ll use Mario because that’s who the staff ghost is. Rosalina gets her own course where she’s the staff ghost, which is in the *same* cup
I prefer Wii rainbow road giant shooting star rocket over the new one I’m mad they didn’t changed the pitch sound it makes when more then one player flies through the giant rocket star the new one nice just wish they would’ve kept that the same way
I'm not feeling the new uniform grid pattern on the track too, not to mention it's not translucent anymore on parts it should
@@selob8825well you are right but you can’t say that Translucent Texture doesn’t have a smooth transition between solid and translucent like MKDD DOES well and hardly noticeable.
Well in the sound file it doesn’t have a chance in pitch but in game it does change pitch and their a limitation for the with the sound file for the cannon.
Not hating but somehow wii and ngc tracks in the boosterpass don't feel right or as good as the mk8 original tracks Almost like I'm playing a modded track.
Also the FOV and camara angles are a bit weird when racing on these newer tracks.
I'd disagree. The booster course pass has a lot of ultra shortcuts.
