Just FYI for Ram 1500 installations with Hemi - CAB DRONE IS REALLY BAD AT FWY SPEEDS RPM 1500 TO 2000! Sounds great at lower speeds and surface streets. Expect alot higher cab noise all around. Cold start will rock the neighbors in the morning.
With just the muffler, very very little. I recently did a resonator delete as well, and it drones a crazy amount. So much so that I'm going back to a stock exhaust.
@@chadh7559 I am currently running stock exhaust with a resonator delete, it’s perfect IMO. No drone inside, tad more sound outside, it’s the perfect setup for a daily driver
@@chadh7559 You got the wrong muffler even if flowmaster made a straight through design they suck.. Magnaflow 14inch would've been better suited for you. Also should have welded the weep holes of the resonators.
For a lot of us, that's exactly what we're after. A notable, yet not significant difference. Full exhaust trucks are obnoxious. It's for the immature and the insecure. Lol
@@brianhughes6516i believe he means it became too loud after resonator delete. I’ve seen some people saying resonator delete would help to eliminate drone but I doubt that. Running flowmaster outlaw on my 4th gen and it has some drone at about 1600-1700rpm but not too bad.
Great Video! I have a 23 Limited without the front resonator. This helped a ton, thank you!
I would suggest deleting the rear resonators as well! I think it cleaned the sound up very nicely. I’ll upload a clip here shortly.
@@ConnorsCorner1 That would be great, Look forward to it. I don't want my truck to loud, I use it as a family hauler and drive a lot of highway.
The rasp is because of the four weep holes on each resonator in the back.
Plug those with some sealant and it will sound smoother
I didn't know the 23's didn't have the front resonator. Good to know my new one doesn't have it.
I have the same truck, sounds good think I may do same setup. Thx for vid
I just installed a Flowmaster 817846 Outlaw on my 23 Ram. Quiet when cruising. Sound similar to a glass pack when you get on it
👍 How do you satisfy the sound on high way?
Great video!

What kind of muffler is that? I know it’s a flow master but what series?
Flow FX
Nice
I dont know the 5th gens well, is this a Hemi or Pentastar engine?
5.7 Hemi V8
Hahaha. A V6 ?? Cmon man
Is there a link for this?
are there drones in the cabin?

Getting rid of the Flowmaster too or just adding back the resonators? I have a 2022 Laramie and deciding what I want to get.

So you put the stock muffler on and have no resonators? Any sound clips of that?

22’s don’t have third one either.. you should delete them all.
I can't do a straight sawsall cut neither
What are you doing to shut off mds on your 23?
I’m leaving it on, doesn’t bother me. A free way to turn it off is to set your gear limit to 8 every time you get in the truck.
It doesn't really seem like that big of a difference???? Of course my ears aren't what they once were...😂

Part #
Remove the rear resonators
I did actually, truck ended up being WAY too loud inside on the highway, too much drone.
@@ConnorsCorner1 It was too loud after removing the rear resonators, or before?

Sounded better stock bud.
