Hi, can this work also on very hard wood?
Yes the 400xs can engrave on hardwoods. The stocks that you see engraved are a walnut. The high speed systems are so smooth and comfortable to engrave with. They really are like drawing with a pen. What hard woods are you working with?

We are engraving through the stencil directly into the wood. This is a piece of walnut. What you see is the wood being removed. The wood is so fine as it is being removed. This is why you have so much control with the 400xs/Power Carver. It really is just like drawing with a pen. The stencil sheet is so micro thin and it is very easy to trace your design.
