How well will this work on a very textured oil painting? I am not sure if it has been varnished.

If there are mould spores present we recommend it is treated by a professional conservator.
I have a 6'x6' foot raised texture painting that needs cleaning and I don't know how to.
If the raised areas are fragile we recommend looking into a professional clean by our conservation team.

The simplest way to clean up an oil or acrylic painting on canvas is to use a white cotton cloth soaked in a gentle soapy water; olive oil-based soap works wonders. You'll be surprised to see how much grime comes off. Be gentle with paintings with thick impasto, as you do not want to break hardened paint.

I do not want to know the name of a specific product, I want to know the name of a specific chemical to use. Brands are a scam, go by ingredient.
Look it up yourself then.
You can take out some patina and your painting will be a disaster
