I think you might like the drive by video I have of my 2018 Sportster Forty Eight from shortly after I got it. At the time it had a Vance and Hines FP3 tuner, S&S tear drop intake, Vance and Hines stainless 2-1 upsweep pipe, Feuling Reaper 505/515 cams, SE fat wires and SE plugs. I absolutely loved how it pulled and sounded and in the video you can hear the bike for the full 2 miles I ride down the highway to the point where I turn around. I have since went crazy and added a HD customizable tach that has a fuel gauge showing miles/km to empty with a gear indicator and some other cool features, a HD master cylinder cap that has an lcd fuel gauge built into it and a dipstick with an lcd screen showing oil temp and oil level (600 different colours for the needle, backround and analog speedometer area so it can be any combination of colours) and built the suspension with Progressive 490 shocks,Progressive adjustable monotube cartridge forks, daytona steering damper, built the clutch with Barnett extra plate clutch pack, Barnett billet pressure plate and Barnett 25% diapgram spring,TMF chain conversion with a little more low end gearing, Brembo radial brake caliper and pad conversion front and rear with 11.5 inch brembo floating rotors and brackets to fit the radial brake calipers and larger rear rotor (Rebuffini and Speed Merchant) and an XR12000 master cylinder with braided lines, then I added an S&S Hooligan 1250cc big bore with forged S&S flat top pistons, Feuling endurance valve springs, feuling hp+ lifters, hammer performance pushrods, buell xb bronze oil pump gear and a Bassani road rage 3 stainless 2-1 (I would have never got rid of the v&h stainless 2-1 upsweep but it was damaged in an accident where I was ran over by an old lady, long story, longer than this one already is😂). Mid controls, west coast tbars 10 inch mx bars, saddlemen step up seat, LED head and tail lights, 1FNGR easy pull 2 finger brake and clutch levers, avon cobra chrome tires. I also had a carbon fiber body made for it (front and rear fender and side panels), needless to say the bike has completely transformed from the video of my ride bys. I plan on doing a Lithium Ion battery, Buell XB12/XR1200 crankshaft, welded and lightened, hammer performance headwork with larger valves, Dynatek efi ignition coil, Feuling fuel injectors, HPI throttle body,Thundermax ECM, Somsong Customs billet swingarm and potentially an Ohlins inverted fork setup and dual disc brakes in the future (the next year or so, I have some of the parts now but I haven't got to ride the bike yet with the current build since I have been waiting on a few small things to ride it). Our season here in Canada is too short to tackle the rest of the work this season otherwise I wont get to ride it! I may end up swapping my cams out if the Feuling 505/515 don't pack enough punch with the new build, and I am up in the air on the Hammer performance 570 or the Feuling 580. Your bike sounds absolutely incredible and it looks like it hauls ass! Let me know if you would like to see the drive by videos of my old setup, and I will be adding videos of the new setup hopefully in the next 2 weeks! Sorry for the long winded post, it takes a bit to explain the mods😂

IDK how to explain what I am trying to say, but it sounds like at mid-high RPM the engine is pulsing more smoothly than other harleys. Almost like a Buell if you've ever heard one in person (2-1 exhaust systems)

It’s funny you mention that, I totally agree. I had my one buddy ride the bike so I could hear it and when he ripped on it I thought it sounded more a Buell up top.

That’s what new cams will do, some are for low down torque, others fir mid range power and others for highway cruising.

    Sweet bike man...
    I got a 07 1200 I'd like to get new cams for..
how do you like your 570s?
    Good low end?

My apologies for the late reply. I really like them, I've had the cams for 3 years now and have no complaints. Bike woke up some in the mid range and top end. I didn't notice any loss in the low end. Not a night and day difference by any means but a nice little boost.

      hey man, it's all good!
Instead of buying cams for the 1200 I've been spending money bobbing/chopping my 883 instead...
Just waiting on my springs to come Tuesday so I can put my 8 inches over stock forks together

Have same setup only I have 2 into 1 but do you get noise from your mikuni carb ?? And what size jet did you use?

    • @mattb6849
      @mattb6849 4 ปีที่แล้ว

No noise from my Mikuni. Going off of memory I believe my jetting for the cams was 22.5 pilot, 160 main, 97 needle on middle position. I'm near sea level, every bike is different but a decent starting point. Had some decel pop as heard in the vid but ended up being intake mani seals, not jetting related.

      Call HAMMER PERFORMANCE, enjoy!

    • @Manis-World

If it’s stock compression, go with Hanmer 570s
10.5cr and head work, then the Hammer 560, you’ll give up some low-mid range torque but it will pull power til 7500+
My opinion… overall around town and some freeway use 570… this is the overall best balanced cam made for these motors
560s if you’re gonna be riding lots of freeway miles, but you will notice a little lack of torque at lower rpm
