- First Time Listening To BAND MAID - UNLEASH (Reaction) What up Sycho Nation and welcome back to the Asylum. Today was supposed to be warning wednesday but as my project is taking some time it will be a bit still.
So today is my first time ever listening to Band Maid, a japanese metal rock group that is making big waves around the world. Band maid is an all girl metal group from japan that has some killer tunes under their belt.
Today I take a look at Band Maid Unleash official video, and I was not disappointed. Everyone from the LoveBites group def threw me a great suggestion when they said check out bandmaid. With killer tempo GREAT animation and a wicked sense of style these young girls are going place. Hey all sorry for the slight camera freezes in the video. for some reason Streamlabs did not like me this morning and I can not reshoot blind reactions so I had to keep it the way it was in order to preserve the raw reaction. I hope you all understand and still enjoy the video.
A lot of this kind of software does not like when you hover your pointer over certain areas. I have seen it quite a few times in reactions and that seems to be what people are saying causes the stuttering freezes.
I saw Band-Maid and The Warning last Sunday at the AFTERSHOCK FESTIVAL ! They met each other and did some pictures together =) Band-Maid is a Hard Rock Band but they do play Metal , Punk , Pop and just about anything ! They always sound great when performing live ! Some suggestions "Domination" Official Live or "Real Existence" Live !!!!! Great Reaction
I’m 56 years old… long time Rock/Metal fan… and I can say, even compared to all the bands I’ve heard in that time, Band Maid is still one of the “select few” as you say. They are not only a great hard rock band but are extremely versatile, prolific, and consistent. Their entire catalog is devoid of bad songs. Hell, there aren’t even any “meh” songs… and there are bands I’ve loved for decades that I can’t say that about! I’m seeing them here in MD on the 25th and I can’t wait!

The main difference of course between Baby Metal and the Maids is the fact that Band-Maid play their instruments. Wait until you get a bass solo from MISA. Aftershock last Sunday in Seattle tonight.
I caught them in Dallas this month and stood in front of Misa the whole show. That woman is nasty with the bass. Literally watched her do the pick palm tuck live and it's still unbelievable.
All five ladies are actually in maid outfits, but they represent different kinds of maids. Miku (red rose) and Kanami (lead guitar) are in traditional western style maid outfits. Drummer Akane is, too, but her maid uniform is customized to be more sleek, due in part to her need for more freedom of movement as a drummer. MISA (bass) is in a stylized "assassin maid" costume, and lead singer Saiki is in a customized outfit that is meant to resemble a governess style uniform.

Hey Sycho, this is the only anime MV from the band (we are hoping for more). But they have done several songs for anime and esports events. They are in their 10th year with a catalog of over 120 songs. Not a bad one in the bunch. They shine brightest Live so check out: DOMINATION-LIVE, ONSET-LIVE (awesome instrumental), PLAY-LIVE. As we speak they are here in the US on tour thru the end of the month. You'll be hard pressed to find a more enjoyable and rockin current ROCK band. The lead singer is Saiki (psyche) Sycho so beware. Nice reaction…I’m from Montreal and I can confirm that Band-Maid is the real thing..I saw them twice in NYC in 2019 and they blew me away.. at the end of this month 28 & 29 they are playing in NYC and Boston…and I will be there again! Thank you…Peace & Respect from 🇨🇦

I would suggest you review their newest release "Influencer" from the same Unleash EP. It is the culmination of what is great about the band of incredible gifted women.
In the past I would say go watch DOMINATION - Live, but "Influencer" is so good, and it really shows where their music is today, as it has evolved. So agree watch "Influencer"
The genre of BAND-MAID is BAND-MAID. They have said in the past that they are Hard Rock. But we know them as AWESOME.

Hi, I'm also in Canada. I'd suggest you look at their latest MV called Influencer. You'll love it, and since they're playing it on their currently-ongoing US tour, you should be able to find yourself some fan cams of them playing it live to watch on your own (or react to with us, as you wish...)..

So there is a lot going on in the animation that's there for the maidiacs (hard core fans) each maid as they are introduced is from the set of a different MV. lots of other easter eggs I'll leave for others or you to find on your own. Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid.

Band-Maid fans notice a lot of hidden clues in this video. The one that's most poignant to me is at 3:20 where Miku is shown (Alone) in the original 2015 video Thrill where she couldn't play guitar at that point and to reflect on how far she has come since then. Also At 4:48 Kanami with hearts around her when she's close with Saiki since every fan knows that Kanami is in love with Saiki.

Brother....let me just say that your first impression of this band will change again and again. Madiacs call this going into the "pigeon hole". You really have no idea of what these ladies bring to the music world. IMO (and hundreds of thousands more) believe Band-Maid is "THE" hardest working, best sounding, completely surprising band in the world today. Every time they release a new track everybody (that is familiar with Band Maid) feels like its Christmas because we never know what is about to be heard but also know its going to be VERY good. Band Maid is a genre. You'll understand after you get to know this band. They have over 100+ tracks to choose from and its hard for me to pick what you should hear next because they are all good and more than half of them are GREAT. Moratorium Live, Influencer (from Unleash album), Domination Live, Warning, Thrill (first MV by Band Maid), and Puzzle, ....and on and on and on. Even if you dont do more than a couple of their tracks, do yourself a favor and check these ladies out. Song writing and musicianship is off the charts. Im 63 yo guitarist whos been there and done that and lost interest in the music scene until I heard BAND-MAID 3 years ago. They actually gave me back that spark thats been missing for quite a while. No doubt these ladies will have the world applauding in the near future. History is happening.

Too many songs to recommend, but I'll start with their most recent instrumental called "From Now On." You'll love it (even without vocals).

Where in Canada are you? Band-Maid is playing in Seattle tonight. They'll play New York and Boston on the 28th and 29th, and Chicago on Nov. 1st (they're playing other places in between; those are closest to Canada). Other Band-Maid songs? Really almost anything. Everybody will suggest their live performances (Onset, Domination, Freedom, Real Existence) but they have some really good videos too (Dice, Blooming, Rinne) and from Unseen World (2021) (Manners, Warning! and After Life.) Band-Maid has been getting more progressive over the last couple of albums. There seems to be a lot of overlap between fans of The Warning and Band-Maid (and Rush, for that matter). Other Japanese bands you should check out: Nemophila, Asterism, or Hanabie. There's a great scene going on over there.

You are a metal, anime and games nerd? Then I promise you that you will have a lot of fun with these amazing ladies. Their outfits generally have something of an anime vibe, I think, and their sound speaks for itself. And as for games, just a few days ago they participated in the Genshin Concert 2022 and brilliantly covered the 'Dawn Winery Theme' there. So yes, they cover all these fields. :)
My recommendation? Definitely a live performance, and I would say 'Real Existence' might suit your taste. It's a song from their earlier days (they started in 2013) and a bit more rock heavy, but not less brilliant and with great energy. Generally they are a bit more rock heavy, and describe themselves as hard rocking maids. :)

This is different from Lovebites right? They'll offer so much more, something different all the time. Lovebites is another standout band along with Nemophila.
You'll soon realise that Band-Maid isn't pure metal, pure hard rock, pure prog either. They incorporate all the different elements together seemlessly in a song. Even if your favourite band is Lovebites, Band-Maid is a whole new experience. You'll never get bored listening to them. Fun journey guaranteed. Thanks man!
Dude I unleash Toxic gas every night, but that's besides the point here... I am slowly beginning to like this band, seen a few of their videos and I don't get it, but this was cool, I like the anime used in this as well.

They are hard rock, not metal. There is a subtle difference between the two. Keep going down the Band-Maid rabbit hole. You won't be disappointed.
