      @AlexYancey หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@richardmindemann6935 yes, but I’m not a professional. Additionally, she didn’t have an off day, she’s having an off season. 30% FG and/or 3PT is an accumulation of many games and shots. Overall is that good to you? She makes 3 of every 10 shots as a pro. When she plays against top talent she doesn’t perform. Her turnover rate is 6 per game. Is that an off game or an off season?

    • @richardmindemann6935

      @@AlexYancey Even pros have subpar days. Just ask Steph or KD. She shoots a subpar % on threes, and turns the ball over too much. She has said so herself. She'll Improve both those stats, I predict. She and Angel Reese, the other ace rookie, both have work to do to reach their potentials. I think both are headed for superstar status, though, and they will propel WNBA popularity the way that Magic and Bird did for the NBA.

    Caitlin's marketability isn't because she's white, it's because she's classy and likable.

    • @frommatorav1
      @frommatorav1 หลายเดือนก่อน +15

      I think most of it is because of her passion and skills. I think she's more cocky/confident then classy but with how classless most of the WNBA has been, it's easy to make her seem classy. lol
      I'm also confused about the jealousy of her looks. She's cute but not spectacular looking. Cute and beautiful come in many shapes and skin color, too.

    • @mbroadsr

      She has a GREAT personality and wants to be a good role model for the young players and even non athlete kids. Combined with her amazing work ethic makes her a winner every time 👍☝️

      @frommatorav1 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      @@mbroadsr I agree about her personality and work ethic.
      I'll wait to declare her as a role model.
      People love to make someone a role model, then ridicule and ostracize them if/when they make mistakes.
      She's likeable in many ways but I can see her rubbing people the wrong way on the court because she's competitive and relentless and can make her opponents look bad. Michael Jordan is looked up to for that but for some reason they shit on Caitlin Clark for it. Likely jealousy.

    carries herself well off the court, she's humble and breaking l o n g s t a n d i n g records as a rookie.

You must not have been putting up the outstanding numbers that she was in college where people first recognized her. The only player so far who’s represented the WNBA, that people knew by name was Brittany Griner. Did you notice what a bang up job she did there for marketing? She really helped sell tickets for the WNBA. Thanks Brittany. The WNBA needed a Caitlin Clark to survive. If the other women don’t like how she’s helping the league, don’t take the raises in salary. Go back to what you were making before she came along. Go back to riding commercial planes in the coach section where you don’t fit. You have no idea what you're talking about. Rebecca Lobo, Sue Bird, Jennifer Azzi, Diana Taurasi, Breanna Stewart and other white players weren't looked at as not being as good as the black players. You CC cult members can't tolerate any criticism of your hero. When players said that she would have a wakeup call and wasn't going to put up the same numbers as she did in college, you fools said that the veterans were hating and jealous. They were right. Caitlin Clark's 17.1 WNBA scoring average is 14.5 points per game lower than her 31.6 NCAA scoring average. Her popularity is not solely due to her being white and scoring a lot of points. Not too many people outside of true basketball fans knew anything about Kelsey Plum before Clark broke her career and regular season scoring record. Why wasn't there this big media buzz surrounding Plum like it was with Clark? You have nearly the same story: white player sets single season and career NCAA scoring record, wins National Player Of The Year plus is the first overall WNBA draft pick. Plum's record setting season was actually better seeing that she had a slightly higher scoring average (31.7>31.6), a significantly higher field goal percentage (52.9%>45.5%) and higher 3 point percentage (42.8%>37.8%). The difference is that they didn't have a high profile black player to be the villain in a manufactured "white hero" narrative like they did with 3 time All-American Angel Reese, the 2023 Final Four MOP, after that 2023 NCAA Championship Game beatdown. There's a lot of people claiming to be Caitlin Clark's fans but they really just hate Angel or anyone else who shares the same skin tone. It's shameful that a lot of people have basically made this young lady the unofficial poster child for white supremacy

    I love the WHOLE WNBA. As a 63 year old woman on her journey back to fitness, they have been a great inspiration to me, each one. I played high school basketball (way back in the 70s) and we were all friends. We didn't care what culture or race. It was an amazing time and I miss the camaraderie of being on a team. I love to watch Caitlin Clark and Aliyah Boston on the court; loved the All-Stars and seeing Angel Reese with Caitlin; they worked together like a team. Love that little rocket Kelsey Mitchell and Lexie Hull. I am tearing up because watching ALL the players has brought back fond memories and lots of love in my heart! (today's my birthday and I'm looking forward to the road ahead!) Oh! How could I forget the amazing Arike Ogunbowale who's first words after receiving her trophy, "Hi Mom"! Love her!

It was so bad what they were doing to prevent clark from getting the assist record and to add to her turnover total. There was no sportsmanship at all. I have zero respect for any of the TeamUSA and the WNBA all-stars. I don't want them representing my country in the Olympics, I would rather forfeit. They don't deserve the right to be there. Yes at first she was guarded as if she was a little kid where you put your hand on top of her head... but as the season has gone to to the half way point she has been allowed to play as normal as they will allow her to be!!! Maybe the second half of the season will be more normal; especially after her performance in the Allstar Game!!!! Just wished she would have hit a few 3's in the Allstar Game so those who came to watch, whether on TV or in the arena, her do that would have been pleased but they still guarding her close to the vest as the saying goes in poker or gangsters do in the movies!!!! She watched the other player with this look on her face, not sure what she was thinking, but she looked so happy watching her teammate. You know what Indiana team needs? a good old-fashioned enforcer. If other teams are gonna keep playing rough and dirty and send CC to the floor, then in comes the bodyguard to send the other teams best player to the floor.
    I mean does CC get extra attention from the media and new fans? Yes, but if she couldnt play she wouldn't get the extra light on her and in return, new fans and light onto the WNBA.
    Why look a gift horse in the mouth, new media deals, new fans, people actually talking about the WNBA, even if it is mostly due to a new fresh and talented person entering the league, I don't understand the thought of hating on her. The League is going to smack CC one too many times and its going to turn people off and the its back to the buses and motel 6.
