I always found it cool that everyone's Door is what they see Truth and knowledge representing. Maybe what's most valued to them. For Mustang it's flame alchemy and Hawkeye herself honestly. His door has what's Tattoo'd on her back
Ed Blaylocks voice acting in the Wrath V Scar fight in this episode is next level. For 60 episodes that man was the epitome of calm until this moment. Gives me chills every time. RIP Ed.
Mustang being forced into human transmutation has always been weird to me, but I think what's happening is human transmutation just opens the gate to the Truth. If the alchemist looks at what's behind the door that Truth opens, then Truth takes payment. This is probably why Al got disembodied in the first place. Ed is the alchemist in charge of the transmutation, but Al gets pulled in too. He sees more, and pays a bigger price And then back when Ed got himself, Envy and Ling out of Gluttony, if you watch closely, he keeps his eyes closed while he passes through the portal. The other two aren't alchemist, so they can't enter the exchange to begin with. Honestly I wonder if Ed needed to lose his arm in the first place. He knew how to bind a soul, so didn't need more knowledge to do it, he just didn't know not to look.

Scar is one of my favorite characters. You don't know it at first but arguably he's doing more right and good than even our main characters. Fighting against the state and country. Even if for his own wants. But he slowly grows to love others and change his goals, while not compromising his whole self. ❤ his fight with Bradley is awesome. One of the best in the show.
I’ve always felt like Truth was lenient with Mustang’s exchange. The transmutation was performed, so something has to be exchanged for the knowledge. However, everyone else we’ve seen perform Human Transmutation has lost a physical part of their body(Ed’s limbs, Al’s body, Izumi’s womb). But Mustang, who unwillingly opened the portal, only lost his _sight_
@@AJ-nw5su Spoiler Alert: Yeah, it sucks, but even blind, Mustang was still able to fight with a bit of help, was not forced into the same years of intense physical recovery that Edward had to go through or the ongoing illness that Izumi has dealt with all her life, and was eventually able to regain his sight with Dr. Marcoh's help. A price still needed to be paid for the knowledge Mustang received, but Mustang did not open the portal as a result of the same hubris that drove Edward, Alphonse, and Izumi to attempt human transmutation. I believe that the Truth recognized that Mustang didn't need to learn the same lesson as the others, and thus was lenient with him.
"Truth" is best described as True Neutral: the rule says humans that do human transmutation must loose something for doing so (and as their price for passing through the door of truth, thus gaining the ability to do transmutation without a matrix)... the rule never had any sort of conditions so the reason/method doesn't matter.
I love the Scar v. Bradley fight. In a sense, it is Scar fighting his own Sin of Wrath, not just Wrath himself, and fighting to maintain his resolve of changing Amestrus. Bradley represents the last vestiage of who Scar was and what he needs to overcome to accomplish his new goals. In the same sense, Bradley is fighting against what he used to be, human. He is constantly complaining about getting old, hating that that part of himself is changing, growing, as only humanity can, feeling ostracized by the other Homonculi, and hating his own roots. So at the end when he faces Scar he is a neither Homculus, nor human, he is as he said, a nameless man fighting for his own life. And in a sense it is when he is most human.
I hung around for 30 extra weeks after ATLA... JUST to have the investment to relish this reaction. And I gotta say... well done. You had the proper amount awestricken flabbergastery. Though if I had to play favorites, I'd say Maple "wore it better"; she seemed to be absolutely transfixedly mortified by Father rising out of the gate. Arianna seemed more angrily confused.

Ironic, father has been taking the form of Hoheneimm (an old man with long beard) for so long while also wearing a long white robe. He basically resembled how the christian God was portayed in old paintings, and yet, his whole goal is similar to that of Satan.
Nah the dwarf's goal is still the same as Yahweh. Yahweh wants to be worshipped, worship him or be punished for eternity. If we assume the snake in the garden and Lucifer are the same being, Lucifer just wanted to show humans the truth of the world and give them free will.
