No chance the average bike shop cares to use a sonic cleaner, or even bothers to strip components for a proper wash. Dare I mention an entire array of lubricants and anti seize applied meticulously with needle point syringe? No chance!

I have that same model of bike. God help you the day it needs new headset bearings! The brake hoses pass through the centre of the bearings so you have to open up the brake hydraulics to get the bearings off. Unfortunately, the hydraulic nut will not pass through the holes in the handlebars so you have to cut the olives off to remove the nuts. Whilst it's an aerodynamic joy to ride, it's a bike I only ride in the dry to minimise my chances of ever needing to replace the headset! It's also a bike for very smooth tarmac. It's unbelievably stiff and very punishing on rough surfaces. A bit like riding a steel girder!! But it's like a missile for top end speed.

Forgive my ignorance but what's with the chain ring appearing to float around when rotating? I've never seen that before

    • @Bikespeeds

To clean the chain, can you break it and rejoin it with a chain breaker cause I read it’s gonna be more likely to break by doing so.

This bike was really easy to assemble th-cam.com/users/postUgkxMesz3KOGEmwmvyKQfLfrRSUXLFzfVHZA and required very few adjustments out of the box. The wheels did not require any truing/adjustments. The frame had some small scratches, but nothing major.I did replace the seat though - the seat it came with was very uncomfortable. The tires need to be re-inflated every 4-5 days, but this appears to be quite common for the narrow 700x25 tires.Overall, in my opinion, this bike looks and rides like a much more expensive bike.

If I would know a shop doing their job as great as you, I would actually give my bike to a service instead of doing everything on my own. But the prices the shops here ask for makes buying the tools cheaper and they dont do what you do.
Last time i asked shops if they service pedeals also: take them apart, clean and relube them and den adjust the preload on the bearings. Nope, they sey no time for that only swap axles of pedals and for bearings in general they dont even have loose bearing balls to renew any bearings on any bike
