I just picked up the Element Titan should be here tomorrow . I was also thinking of the Sidewinder but the Elements glass was a tad better and has all stainless steel gearing and also has a lifetime guarantee transferable to anyone . Thanks for your review and glad we agree . Take care !
I've tried both of the SFP scopes and the Elements has better optical clarity than the Hawke although the Hawke is good. Try sighting on a test target at 40m or 50M and zoom through the range . The difference is obvious. The elements also has stainless steel turret rings for reduced wear and more positive adjustment detente's. The other feature of the Elements is that it has a resettable zero stop something very useful for those who dial in elevation adjustment at ranges other than zero. I do both target shooting and hunting and I simply set the zoom to where the reticule reads true ,10x or 12x depending on the scope and leave it there so SFP or FFP isn't an issue. I'd guess that's what most of the HFT guys do. A lot of extreme range shooters use 10x fixed scopes. Tracking on both scopes is also excellent but again I think the Elements edges it. If I could find a fixed 10X with a half mildot reticule at a reasonable price that would be my ideal. But until then the Elements is my choice too.

focus is stiff because of the fine and very close tolerance thread , you cant avoid it unless you want a sloppy focus

This review was done and published way before the new FFP Helix came out so the scope on test is the SFP
