The fact that you have a night shirt that says "people suck" and that you are willing to share that, and the story about your son and the bus....you are "real people" so, i am definitely a fan!

I just love these real mom moments. My third is the same way as Milo. She gets an idea in her head of what she wants and won't let it go. It is so hard sometimes. Thanks for being real.

The story of Milo sounds like something my 3 1/2 year old daughter would do. She is constantly challenging me. Sending you lots of love and patience so we can both get through this phase together.

My oldest son was just like that! I have so many stories. He's 17 now and pretty sweet.
Loved your tips. Especially the picture hanging. Pictures hung too high are my pet peeve!

You couldn't have hit the nail more on the head when you mentioned "serendipitous" occurrences. I say this in my head all the time. In fact it literally just happened to me as I cleaning up I found an exact size box that I needed only a few seconds before. Happens all the time. Thank you for your service.

I feel for ya. I raised 2 ADHD boys, with my hubby on deployment in the military most of the time. There were times I wondered if they'd kill me or each other first. Believe it or not, I miss them being little, and would do it all again...bad days too! And don't worry about your appearance running after your kid. When I see that, I KNOW that child is loved and cared for! You really inspire and motivate me. Now, thanks to your decorating tips I know what I've been doing wrong...everything! Haha Thanks and God bless you!

OMG! I realize this comment is over 3 years old but you just made my day! I had TWINS like that-a boy & a girl they were a handful-except they would run in opposite directions 🤦🏻‍♀️.They’re 18 now & (supposed to be, we’ll see) going off to college in a few weeks but it seems like yesterday when I was secretly trying to take a quick bathroom break when I heard the front door open & I looked out of the window from the “throne” to see them 1) peeing off the front porch. I started knocking on the window & they just laughed at me & kept peeing. No pants. Neither one of them.
OR another day 2) take off running up the driveway in only their diapers. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I yanked up the window & yelled, HEY YOU TWO GET BACK HERE! as they laughed hysterically. I mean, what else could I do? I was kinda stuck! 😂🤣
We all lived so I guess that’s all that matters. They’re now both the most calm, chill kids you’ll ever meet. Completely different than by they were when they were little!
Anyway-I love your videos. You make me want to get organized & you make me laugh. Thanks for being so real!

I totally feel you on this story. My second born was a runner. He started doing it when he was three and man he was fast! It ended sometime before he was five. He survived, I barely survived. We would be going along and all of the sudden he would just bolt for no reason. And it wasn’t often, like every couple of months. I would think he was done doing it and then he would do it for like a week and stop. When he got older he played soccer, sure wish he ran as fast on the field, lol. Now he going to graduate college this year. How the time flies but the trauma your kids put you through never goes away, hahaha!

my daughter use to run away at the store, church, Ikea and at the ZOO! one time i hid behind a post for 5 min and watched her panic, stop and look every which way for me. People glared at me for being such a terrible mom when I walked up to pick up and carry my sobbing daughter. she never ran off again though.
Moral of the story ? Sometimes you find yourself doing the nuttiest thing when your're a parent!

Sandra Organization Seeking omg i can so related to that. My son when he was 6 made me a tantrum at Walmart because he wanted a computer game that had spiderman on the front. Back in that day he didn't even know how to use a computer. But he started crying and screaming and kicking and I was like you know if you don't stop Im going home without you and he dared to said "no, you won't". I left everything, started walking to my car, he started running behind me by then. Got in my car, turned in on. Closed the door while he was outside yelling at me for forgiveness and saying he won't do it again. People looking at me like crazy, they really thought I was leaving him there in front of all of them. Put the car on parking again and I finally let him in. Never like never in his life he did something like that again.

My 5 year old wont wear seatbelt.Every time I had to park my car somewhere and get out of the car to put her back on the car seat and put her seat belt on.she would snap it open and out she goes.I used to scare her that police will fine me and they will take you for not wearing your seat belt. She use to say"ok fine let them take me away police helps us not take kids away”
Anyways once I was coming out of walmart and there were 2 police cars parked right in front of the store and officers were standing outside and chatting with each other.I took my daughter with me and walked to them and asked them how they were and I said "this is my daughter and she doesn’t wear her seatbelt and she doesn’t care if we will get in trouble for that”My daughter started crying and the officers played along and said yes she wont do that again because its not safe and she will be in trouble if not wear seatbelt and sit in her carseat.
From that day onwards No complains regarding this issue.

Lol my oldest son is just like that. I felt like I was probably the world's worst mom until I had my second son and he is just good as gold. People who don't have a kid like that are quick to judge, and I always secretly hope they have a stubborn, wild child to knock them down a peg or two. Don't worry though, kids like that are the ones who grow up to be leaders and make a difference in the world. :) :)

I'm guilty of the beige/taupe effect in certain areas of my home. I'm slowly trying to add more "pops" of color. It can be hard to find the balance between bland & overboard.
I felt for you when you shared your story as I had a similar situation happen to me this fall. This November when I was about 4 months pregnant my kindergartener refused to be put on the bus. I had to carry all 40 lbs of him up the steps and to his seat while he was screaming bloody murder while the bus driver tried to calm him down. I thankfully was able to run off the bus & he ended up going to school & was fine. I'll never forget that moment of desperation & being out of breath! Your nightgown was the cherry on top of your morning! :)

Totally the same here and now I'm questioning my whole parenting style

YAY...my three favorite cleaning motivators in one day, I'm looking forward to that! (be interesting to see if I get more done tomorrow!) In this video I really love your idea of changing things up to redecorate, as much as I'd LOVE to do some serious changing in my home, it's out of reach and having a different look in a room always makes me feel better...I also like your idea of clustering collections-definitely gonna try that one!

Great tips. I'm following your 3-5-7, but never thought about grouping them and spreading out. My house is small and I don't have a lot of space to place things on. This helps and looks better. TFS.

OMG! All Of my favourites are doing a collab! YAY! And Milo 🙈 my son have also ran away from his sister going to school and I had to find him and walk to school with him wearing pj's, winterjacket, barefoot in rainboots and a hat pulled over my head because my hair really needed a wash. Meeting parents and teachers 🙈🙈🙈
You are a good parent! Kids challenge us! Hang in there! 💛

Try and remember that they ask you to collab with them because they - VERY likely - feel jut as happy/excited to be working with you. Otherwise, why would they?!
I seriously love watching them too (however, you were the first person I found and you were, are now, and will stay, my favourite. That is sincere and honestly true!) but you are EQUAL to them ok. You just need to realise that! We don't keep coming back for nothing you know - you have a lot of knowledge/experience and we love the way you deliver it to us. Hold your head high because you too are great!!!

I used to be bullied on the bus...and beg my mom for a ride to school. I never told her why until I was older, I don't know why.

    • @yarnpower

Yes, my guess is a bully or bullies are on the bus. Most kids are too embarrassed to admit to being bullied.

I understand! My first 2 (girls) were awesome listeners, my third (girl) was a bit of a boundaries pusher at home but in public was great plus the girls were gifted and mature. So I always had the best compliments and people asking for advice. Then I had my son... my son was also gifted but ADHD and life got really interesting. Sometimes they are too smart for their own good! I started getting comments like "oh I wish I had his energy" along with the smile that says they feel bad for me lol Now my older 2 are in college and the younger 2 in high school and it's hard to believe it went so fast!
