I had a stack of magazines that I've kept for YEARS! I finally decided to go through them and tear out the pages I really liked. I tore out 6 pages. Yes 6 pages out of 20 magazines. They went in the recycle bin and I set the pages aside for a few weeks. Just looked at them again and threw away 3 of them. Wow.
MOUSEMOM40 wow! I'm so glad I've read this. I've got a three feet high stack of a magazine I buy monthly. I really need to sort them. Thanks for inspiring me to do it. Xx
I hear ya! Lol. Keeping magazines for a few good pages, pics, articles, etc. is the bane of my existence. Good idea you had to tear out individual pages! Thanks. :)
I love your tips!! especially about finishing the job 100%! 😁 thanks for collabing with me and I hope y'all are able to shake that stomach bug all the way out of the house!
ClutterBug Hi, love your videos! i wanted to ask you if you have ever tried using essential oils? they are absolutely amazing at helping our bodies with that little extra it needs to keep things at bay or shortening symptoms. we love them! they have helped my family tremendously. if you would like to know more about them or have any questions feel free to email me at libraz8326@gmail.com and if you could lmk here you did lol, bc im horrible at checking my social media and email. And there's an amazing promo going on where you can earn 100pv of free oils! this is the best time to get them. i know if you started using them you'll be great full you did Have a great day
I LOVE you both!! :) So fun to see you do collabs! :) You both have inspired me greatly recently, and I just went through a MASSIVE purge of my hoarder status basement when we moved house. I posted a video about it on my channel!! :) I was really inspired by you girls and watched your videos the whole time to keep me moving!! :) Thank you thank you thank you both!!
Looking at my overflowing bins while watching this....😐😐😐”Tomorrow..Tomorrow.. I’ll declutter you Tomorrow”... that’s been playing in my head for weeks, but you have inspired me to actually get up and move!!
So many things you said clicked with me. This January, I did what you taught me again & donated 7 things a day. 210 items left our house! We have strep in our house. It just won't go away. Grrrrr. Glad you're better. xo
my grandma always said at times like that, open every window at the same time for 5 min, let the house feel a chill, and kaboom, bugs virus are gone, just thought I share a little of my grandma's wisdom. ..lol...hay whata got to lose. ..lol..
Love, love, love these tips! Especially the time capsule idea - which is what I need to do with some of the hubby's things :) Maybe then he'll realize he really doesn't use them! Thanks so much for a doing a collab with Meg - you are two of my very favorite TH-camrs, so this was such a treat!
I really really like your videos, first the tips and then the personal talk. I love how you can be open about your life. I am tired of those people who only share the good stuff of their life, it is like abnormal and it makes you feel incompetent... I love your energy, openness and enthusiasm.
I am already in love with your channel. And the fact that your a Mom makes you so much more relatable for me. I can't wait to make my way through more of your videos. As a clean freak in a huge house with a 3 and 5 year old I LOVE a clean house but don't love cleaning. There has to be more to life; and I'm hoping with your helpful tips I can get on top of things because all I seem to do is clean and yet I'm doing something wrong because somehow considering I never sit things still aren't as they should be! Thank you so much!
I have watched a lot of decluttering and minimizing videos, and I never comment, but you are so charismatic and encouraging! I found your video very engaging, even without tons of before and after shots. I really appreciated your enthusiasm. Subscribed! Great tips :D Thanks!!
So excited when I saw this collab! I have been a fan of Clutterbug for years, from the old channel! I recently subbed Love Meg's channel and got so excited when I saw you both together!! So inspired to declutter!!
Yes, complete the cycle! I'm here from Meg's channel and she said something similar one time.. "Finish the task," I think. I was so guilty of leaving things halfway done! It seriously makes a big difference!
Love you so much!!! Thank you so much too! Glad you made it though the hockey tournament! I used to do those too and volleyball... now my kids are older...yeah!!
Great tips as usual! I'm a 90%er as well with just about everything except laundry, that is the only cycle I can complete! I've recognized this about me so this is without a doubt something I need to be conscious of.
the basket one has helped sooo very much. I go through my lower level in my house and get all the kids toys to take upstairs. loved the collaboration you guys did :)
I threw up nonstop with all my pregnancies and have years of barfing stories with my kids. One thing I learned is that it is horrible to throw up in a bucket in the car (for all the reasons you mentioned). Use a gallon Ziploc bag instead! You can zip it up after and no one has to smell it or spill it. Then you can just throw it in the trash in a sack. Bags are small enough to fit in purses, in glove boxes, and we even put them between our children's mattress and headboards in case they are going to barf in the night. Plus, less dirty dishes. Get rid of the bowls and use Ziplocs! It'll make things so much easier! :) I hope you all get better. Doing the rounds of sick kids (& parents) over and over is the worst!
Hi, Cas. Love your clutter-free home! My hot spots are many. Kitchen table, coffee table (where my decorating magazine live until it's time to recycle), office desk. Our night stands. As soon as dinner is over, I'm getting to it. Plus,we are moving in 5 months so it's time to decluttering/donate/dispose. Take care!
We've been battling sickness for about a month now too. I have 3 kids so we just keep passing it around. It was the stomach flu, then we all got a cold and now it's colds and puking and horrible sore throats. And my youngest who will be 2 next month has a double ear infection and pink eye in both eyes. I feel your pain! It's relentless!!!! Heres to happy healthy thoughts!!! and spring... where art thou???? I'm in New England, Just got a foot of snow with another foot predicted for this weekend..... waaaah 😭lol on the up side I have been organizing and purging! Love your videos!!!! 💕💖💕
OK so the compete the cycle advice has helped me decide to finish a lot of tasks and I learned about that from you! What I am saying is, I think of you sometimes when I clean.
I love your bubbly personality. I'm sorry you're having recent sickness going thru your home. I would recommend checking and deep cleaning your dishwasher and getting all new toothbrushes. I find that we deep clean our house when someone is sick but these two things get forgotten.
Really enjoying your decluttering series! We decluttered our entire home last summer using the KonMari Method and the results have been incredible 😊 We've found the key to maintaining a clutter-free, organised home is to have daily cleaning routines and to complete every task (including tidying up after it's done). Love your videos - keep up the great work!
I love your channel! You are always so excited and happy! I'm sorry to hear how sick your family has been. I wonder if you have heard the suggestion of throwing away and replacing toothbrushes after sickness? It might help break the cycle!
Excellent!! I am finally down to only one room left to declutter... I am looking for ideas on how to store my extra seasonal flowers and vases - any su? Your tips are always so practical and inspiring! when you shared about decorating your bedroom - that changed my bedroom from clutter to beautiful! thank you for all your help!
Love your personality! I know socializing is not your thing (Mine neither:)) but man what a blessing you could be to others if they got to know you personally. Keep up he great work!
Loved these tips! I need to be good about getting rid of my clutter when I have decided it is clutter. Hopefully I can get better about this even though I do not drive. :)
So sorry you guys are still sick!!! that is aweful. someone in this house has been sick with something pretty much since Thanksgiving. we just finished a dose of antibiotics for strep... hoping to be done with it.
Hi Cas! Glad to hear you survived those soccer parents! So sorry to hear you had to drive home hurling....how awlful! 🤢 Just think, Disney is just a drive away and everyone including Milo will be healthy! I just pre-ordered your book on Amazon! Can't wait for it to be in my hands!!! Sending healing thoughts to the Aarssen family! Hugs, Linda
Loving your clutter tips and can't wait for your book to come in! As for the stomach bug issues, I've never had to try it myself (thank goodness and knock on wood) but I've heard drinking 100% Grape Juice will help minimize/get rid of/keep it at bay. I have a friend who swears by it with her kids.
I’ve never found anybody make me laugh about sickness! It had me cracking up! I’ve just subscribed and enjoyed your video and will be binge watching the others asap. Ta everso.
My biggest struggle is not completing the cycle, too! Not just myself, but my husband & kids. At the end of the night I try to load the cups into the dishwasher that are sitting in the sink & dry the dishes that have been air drying. It's the last thing I want to do, but realized it makes such a huge difference between an almost clean kitchen & an actually clean kitchen. 😊 I hope you can beat that stomach bug. It has been bad here in the states, too! You need some of those surgery masks. Lol. My one son got it a few weeks ago & a few days later my preschool son was thrown up on by a classmate. My OB dr said hand washing was his best advice. Since antibacterial stuff won't kill the bug. I'm 31 weeks pregnant so I've been hand washing constantly. I'll take snot, but stomach bugs are evil!
Love the complete the cycle tip! It's totally my nemesis. Have you guys tried activated charcoal for the stomach bug? My son caught it, and so I had everyone on charcoal right away (I mixed a tiny amount into applesauce so they couldn't taste it). Luckily we didn't catch it because we have a newborn and we'd already made it through strep without catching it. Hope you're all better soon! Glad you made it home safely!
I'm a 90%er too! The bins of homeless things are the absolute worst for me. It seems inevitable that items make it into the bins, and I never find a place for them. Then, when people stop by, the bins get tucked away somewhere to be found many moons later. The best thing for me is to just force myself to put things away once or twice a day, because then there is no 90% for that item. It's either where it belongs, or it's not. I LOVE the rest of your tips though!
when you talked about homeless clutter bins.. oh my I have so many! my problem is i don't unload them!! I'm sure most things can be given/ thrown away! I really need to take those 15 mins a day and just do it!! I have them in my closets, beside my bed, beside my dresser, in my cabinets, and more!! my goal this week now: undo the homeless bins!! great video and tips!!
Thank u for these tips I was decluttering today I have whole bunch of papers lying around not sure y I kept them so I filled two small store bags full of trash it felt good these tips help me :) to clean
My son was getting stuff from school repeatedly. I was telling my good friend who is a nurse, she told to start taking probiotics daily, especially the kids. Our illnesses diminished big time, maybe once that year.
I've been taking Probio5 and I don't remember the last time I had stomach flu. It's been years. Probiotics definitely help your overall immune system, increasing your chances of fighting off/avoiding viruses. I also, btw, haven't had a cold/flu since Dec 2016, though my son and hubby have had 5 or 6.
My husband and I are house hunting. We're in a rental right now so we can take our time in the house hunt. This is poor motivation for purging and packing! Haha, I'm normally a very organized and motivated person but ai think I was beginning to feel overwhelmed by purging things from our two kids. It's exhausting knowing that I have to keep a decent portion of it since our family isn't complete yet. Anyway, I just discovered your channel (and podcasts!) and I wanted to say THANK YOU!! I purged the front hall closet last night! Yippee!!
Great tips! I am bad about the completeing the cycle thing on some projects :( Seems like I always need something I don’t have on hand & by the time I can get it i have lost interest or something more pressing comes up…..I am working on it though!! Glad your trip was fun (except the puking, of course) :)
Yikes!! I cannot believe you had to drive that far while throwing up...how awful - so glad you are better, but what timing is that? Ha - I was wondering how that trip went - I did pray for you!! You are so funny - glad the trip went well and Abby got to go!! Great tips. Yes, I am a total 90%er....with the dishes - I pride myself on not going to bed with "dirty dishes" in the sink, but those clean ones are there "drying" for me to put away next day - definitely going for the 100% now. Recently found Love Meg - she is adorable!! I could be her mother as I have a daughter her age, but that is totally fine...glad you collabbed - both are awesome youtubers!!
My kids school actually literally shut down for a day a couple years ago to have a cleaning crew come in lol. These stomach bugs were so consistent that it was crazy. Had my SK home today throwing up btw.. 😣Hope you're all over it! :)
Oh you poor woman; the things we do as parents - driving while puking! I feel for you and the family. Fingers crossed this is the last round it goes through. Thanks for the great tips too. :)
I love your tips especially the finish the cycle .... I am lazy too -I find that instead of thinking about it just do it ... like returning a call. Or text -I don't like bags ... I just end up making more ... I just put it away - when I come home before I change and start settling .. I find it best to put things away properly... once I start to relax i am going into lazy mode -areas that you are trying to figure that look messy or junky maybe a close friend or family can help as you said we start overlooking it
I had a stack of magazines that I've kept for YEARS! I finally decided to go through them and tear out the pages I really liked. I tore out 6 pages. Yes 6 pages out of 20 magazines. They went in the recycle bin and I set the pages aside for a few weeks. Just looked at them again and threw away 3 of them. Wow.
MOUSEMOM40, same. Big pile of magazines in a basket dated from years back. It looks so much better now that there is only a few current ones.
Good idea
you had to tear out individual pages! Thanks. :)
I think that's the best advice... Finish a project to the end. Makes a HUGE HUGE difference. Cas, you're the best!
Your "rants" at the end of your videos are my favorite! Haha. I also love your tips! They really do help in keeping a clean/decluttered home.
"Complete the cycle!" is my new LIFE motto!! Thanks Cas 🙌💗
I love your tips!! especially about finishing the job 100%! 😁 thanks for collabing with me and I hope y'all are able to shake that stomach bug all the way out of the house!
Love Meg My two favorite TH-camrs😃
Thank Meg! Today my poor husband got it! I really love your channel and I am so happy that we got to collab
Love Meg my absolute two favorite youtubers so excited when I saw this!

I've watched a lot of decluttering vids but yours are the best as they are clear, structured, short and chirpy. Thank you.
my grandma always said at times like that, open every window at the same time for 5 min, let the house feel a chill, and kaboom, bugs virus are gone, just thought I share a little of my grandma's wisdom. ..lol...hay whata got to lose. ..lol..

I love your "complete the cycle" tip. I will be implementing this as much as possible. Thanks for sharing. Love your vids and personality.

Complete the cycle... i love it! I think you are the number one clutter expert.
Love the clutter critique. Made a list, started and huge improvement and motivation already. You are right, we stop seeing them.
yep, I read it too, "Almost done is not done".So true !
Snap! My 6th Habit for a Highly Organized Household is - Do it till it's DONE 🙌🏼 love Peter Walsh but haven't read his books yet...will have to now!!

Thank you so much! It's amazing to me that you always have a new tip every time I watch your videos.
These are all great tips! Especially the clutter hotspots. I swear my dining room table has to be cleaned almost daily!
So excited when I saw this collab! I have been a fan of Clutterbug for years, from the old channel! I recently subbed Love Meg's channel and got so excited when I saw you both together!! So inspired to declutter!!
One of your best videos! These tips are really helpful. Glad to hear the update about your family.
Bless your heart!! Hope your family kicks this bug once and for all!
I feel your pain! We've just had the sickness bug go round. It's been horrendous but we're through the worst. Hope you're all on the mend soon!
Your videos inspire me to declutter more. I liked your video of taking so many items from each room to declutter. love your channel!
Yes, complete the cycle! I'm here from Meg's channel and she said something similar one time.. "Finish the task," I think. I was so guilty of leaving things halfway done! It seriously makes a big difference!

love the complete the cycle tip. I recently started doing this but didn't have a name for it and it's helped a lot!
Omg. Completing the cycle is such a great idea!
the basket one has helped sooo very much. I go through my lower level in my house and get all the kids toys to take upstairs. loved the collaboration you guys did :)

That is so smart! I hope I never have to use this tip
Great idea!
I love the 'complete the cycle' tip. So glad you survived hockey x
Love these tips! I watch this video every few minutes this when I need to really get my declutter on!
You are so adorable! Love the tips so much! I'm reorganizing my kitchen today, so this will be great! TFS
And y'all need to get well soon! Big hugs!

Thank you!!!
Take care!
It's not all clutter free! My craft/mud room is a disaster 99% of the time
We've been battling sickness for about a month now too.
Thanks for introducing me to Love Meg!!
I love your bubbly personality. I'm sorry you're having recent sickness going thru your home. I would recommend checking and deep cleaning your dishwasher and getting all new toothbrushes. I find that we deep clean our house when someone is sick but these two things get forgotten.
Spied a Lulu Lemon store recently and thought of you! You just make me smile. 🙂
Thanks! I have no idea if we have a lulu store near me. I need to get out more!
Great tips. I watched this while folding laundry
Love your stories at the end!!! Thumbs up!! TFS
Rewatching this video after all this time! I needed to get my declutter on again!
Love the clutter hot spot tip!
You're insightful and super funny. Keep it up!
Love you videos! You make me laugh and I love the family stories. Thank you for making my day brighter! 😁
You are wonderful. Tfs as always. Stomach flu seems to be brutal this season.
Great tips. I love your videos, so relatable.
I love it. Thank you so very much. I needed to hear this again.
I love your channel! You are always so excited and happy! I'm sorry to hear how sick your family has been. I wonder if you have heard the suggestion of throwing away and replacing toothbrushes after sickness? It might help break the cycle!
Yesssss! Complete the cycle!
I'll be using these tips definitely 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 thanks beautiful
Excellent!! I am finally down to only one room left to declutter... I am looking for ideas on how to store my extra seasonal flowers and vases - any su? any suggestions LOL?
That's Great -only one room left! I'm just starting out. Thanks for the possible possibility of living a clutter free home!
kitchen table is my magnet. And kitchen counter!!!
great tips, and BTW thanks for the planner printables
love staying till the end 💖💖💖
omg the critique is a great tip and scary too! The iffy box, yes!! oh you poor thing, no more nasty bugs...
Hah! I'm a 90%er too! Yes, I do have to force myself to fully complete the cycle
Love your personality! I know socializing is not your thing (Mine neither:)) but man what a blessing you could be to others if they got to know you personally. Keep up he great work!
Great tips! I'm a 90%er too. Thanks for the advice, I'll put it to good use.
I am terrible at finishing the "cycle". Trying to get better though! Awesome tips!
Loved these tips! I need to be good about getting rid of my clutter when I have decided it is clutter. Hopefully I can get better about this even though I do not drive. :)
New sub here LoveMeg mentioned your chanel and I am so glad she did!!!! Your tips are amazing thank you so much!
So sorry you guys are still sick!!! that is aweful. someone in this house has been sick with something pretty much since Thanksgiving. we just finished a dose of antibiotics for strep... hoping to be done with it.

My husband and I are house hunting. We're in a rental right now so we can take our time in the house hunt. This is poor motivation for purging and packing! Haha, I'm normally a very organized and motivated person but ai think I was beginning to feel overwhelmed by purging things from our two kids. You are so welcome...THANK YOU for watching and listening!
you are awesome, I love your goofy personality, my favorite is the rant at the end, it brings me back to the malatose days.
You have been around sooo long! Thanks
ClutterBug lol,me too!
where did you get this beautiful stand up file folder that you use for your papers in the kitchen (min 3:18)? They are so pretty and practical :)
I am lazy too
-I find that instead of thinking about it just do it ... like returning a call. Or text
-I don't like bags ... I just end up making more ... I just put it away
- when I come home before I change and start settling .. I find it best to put things away properly... once I start to relax i am going into lazy mode
-areas that you are trying to figure that look messy or junky maybe a close friend or family can help as you said we start overlooking it
This was so motivational...but I'm sooo tired 🙈 the struggle!😜
I feel you there I am too
Oh no, hope you all get well...spring is right around the corner so you all will be able to get outside more and breathe some fresh air!
Great video! So helpful. I'm going to check out Meg's video now:)
I love staying until the end, your life reminds me of mine & I like that I'm not the only one 😀
Love this! Thanks for the tips.
Where did you get your nightstands?
Ikea a few years ago
ClutterBug Thanks!
