- Hi guys,
In this video I am going to be showing you how to repair broken nails with the added bonus of also showing you how I do my nails using my non-dominant hand!
So the reason my nails are in such a sorry state is because someone decided to drive into the back of my poor car! So I sadly broke my nails during the process of attempting to fix it up and replacing the tyre.
Anyway, I hope my misfortune in this case has ended up being educational and entertaining for you.

You're so awesome! I can't do anything with my left hand which often results in having only one hand with nails. When I am able to do my right hand, I spend a heck of a lot of time filing. Also to those ppl saying what you did with your hand "isn't nice" or "it's the devils sign", NO, YOURE WRONG! It is called "devil horns" but is just a sign mostly meaning "rock on" or something to that effect.
I'm curious how Mr. Cameraman would do trying a nail after all the videos he's had to record/edit? 😂😂 I'd watch it for sure.

Kirsty looks SO much happier after she's finished repairing her nails. From the sound of it though, she's lucky that only her nails broke in the crash!
It makes me so mad.. I always go and get my acrylics done, but after watching your videos for ages now, I've noticed that acrylics that I have done have NO C-curve and are practically flat! I wish I could learn how to do my own, just you make it look so easy! 😛
I agree completely I feel the same way when I go to the nail salon as well I even asked my nail tech about it.

It might sound weird but it's quite heartening to know you struggle with doing your nails on your non-dominant hand too! It's a relief to know even experts have aspects of their chosen subject which still are tricky!

I have to say I know you were doing the 200 gel application to see if you could get them all but it really gave us a chance to see the lovely mix of colours you do. i think she was trying to do the sign for rock band/ devil horn. but looking at what her hand was signing, she was actually signing the short version for "I love you"
I've always been "afraid" of using colored acrylic but watching you use it, I'm feeling daring and I think on my next fill, I might try it. I like my nails long and VERY square. Do you have any suggestions as for what forms I could use (that are sold in the US)? I need to practice with forms - usually I use a tip but I want to learn to master the form. Love your videos!!!

I do exactly the same thing as you do by moving my right hand back & forth when blending acrylic for blending or infills.

Beautiful as usual! Quick question though - I noticed in all your videos you use acetone to clean the nails. Does acetone not break down the acrylic?
Nicki Madden I would say if you use it really quick that it wouldn't. But soaking the nails in it will break it down and make it softer!

The 'rock' hand thing is supposed to mimic a devil/demon head and is referred to (in my experience) as 'throwing the horns'. Now you know! I have unicorn horn glittery nails at the moment (inspired by you, Kirsty!) so I would be 'throwing the unicorn horns' I suppose.

Adam, black sabbath didnt break up last week they just aren't going to tour again because of Tony's health. There final tour show was in Feb. They haven't ruled out making more music 😌
omg the cuticle prep comment... same here I must have very high tolerance as everyone I work on has to remind me 'that's kinda a lot of pressure' and here I am pushing etc on my nails and it hardly feels like anything.

The rock sign I think is supposed to be devil horns? The popular story has to do with Ronnie James Dio adopting it because Italians do it to kind of ward off the "evil eye" or something. It reminds me of the sign we make here at my university in reference to our mascot, the Texas longhorn. So it makes me giggle lol

lovely set :-) i slammed my indexfinger between the cardoor 5 weeks ago. oh sweet jesus that hurt. i screamed and cried really loud i think everyone at macdonalds heard me. 2 days ago i did my nails. Feels so good. but my finger is still a bit tender. it looks so easy. i did one hand 2 hours but thats fast for me hahahaha xxx

The rock hands are also called "Devil Horns" and originally can be seen as a sign of demons but in modern day is more known for it's association with Heavy Metal, originally as correctly stated in the band Black Sabbath. :) (who may have or not broken up, news is conflicting!)

I find my cuticle being pushed back, being a little painful... but I’ve got Fibro. So I thought that what it was!
Is there any other way to do it for it to be the same effectiveness but less painful?
