You can't argue that even though the OG Dead Space still holds up to this day, the Remake looks very promising, everything we saw in the small demo of the Sound Design, alive System, shows how much Love and passion is being put into the Remake. I'm definitely looking forward to it that and Glen's The Callisto Protocol.
Agreed with everything you stated. Id be worried if not for the sheer transparency in the games development the team is showing with the dev diaries and the extra effort in little touches like Isaac's breathing which is an objective improvement.

Exactly! Because it preserved everything from the original instead of cutting and replacing, instead it improved, and fleshed out, and added great things to make a already great game even greater. If RE2 remake was made like the RE1 remake then it would have been the greatest RE game ever made. RE3 remake was just a soulles cash grab riding off the succes of the RE2 remake.

Ya know it just hit me how no Predator sequel seems to follow the events of the previous one. So from that perspective, the Predator series is a pretty solid anthology series. You take the same basic concept of an alien from space who hunts prey in the of honour and just apply it to any kind of story. Even if some movies are better then others.

Personally I'm really hyped to see the spot in spider verse 2 I understand that you need a high IQ to understand the character (How I pity those who don't) but I personally and my class of spot fans are most excited for his long overdue presence on the big screen, and yes I do have a spot tattoo and no you cannot see it. (jokes aside I really liked the look at the resident evil 4 remake, although I think it being more of a reimaging then a remake is a bit rough don't you think)
My issue with all these remakes is that for the most part its always 1-1. Remakes are the time to push for more, to include as much of the original games cut content as possible. And the only remake I know of that actually did that was Destroy All Humans! of all things. Ps4 Shadow of the Colossus didn't add any of the cut colossi, the Demon's Souls remake didn't restore the giant level, even though it had been 90% complete in the original, etc.
I was fearing that just like Hollywood, the games industry would pump out unnecessary remakes. Thankfully it hasn't reached the point where every remake is terrible. Most have been great. However, the release of Spongebob Battle for Bikini Bottom Rehydrated worries me

The Warriors from 2005 deserves a remake. The game is an underrated sapphire.
It’s one of the few movie tie in games that actually enhances the lore of the source material and makes the film more enjoyable after playing.

It's just cuz of that stupid SpongeBob game, and the RE4/Dead Space/TLOU remakes that the hivemind triggered a switch. Before that, it was happy to have all he remakes.
