    I used to be making music as well, but the level showed here is much higher I could ever achieve back in a day) Thank you for a great example. When the war is over (I live in Ukraine) hope to get back to music production and use some tricks shown here. Meanwhile, I wish you all to stay safe and newer to hear the air alarm and explosions...(

    Wow bro, you just opened a channel to the Divine in just a few minutes! Trance is one of the most beautiful music genres where the light of G-d can be bestowed into our souls and bodies. By the way, this is the first time I got it clear how to make an arpeggio, i'm a samaritan producer born in Argentina and for years I wanted to discover how to make an arpeggio on my own and finally decided to look for a tutorial, I was on the right track but I thought all of this should be made using the reason arpeggiator, now I see it not in all cases you use the auto arpeggiator, but you design the arpeggio manually. I also was using lot of delay, more than 1 delay units and reverb to get a similar effect but it wasn't what I was looking for. There is a deep mystical explanation how trance work in jewish kabbalah.

    Demis, I've been watching your trance arp videos and melody making videos. They've helped me tremendously. It also helped me realize the process of making the melody can extend throughout the song and give the listener a prelude into the melody and keep things very familiar throughout the track like trance should be. Learning these different styles and arps sparks tons of innovation and great inspiration in the tracks that I work on. Stay humble, stay awesome, Demis!!!

    I start slowing down before lunch too. Don't worry about it. I'm sure in Cubase there must be a random humanise button to select for velocity, length and note position. I use that in Logic all the time on everything apart from sub bass and kicks. Your arp workflow vids are always a winner for me.

    • @demishellen
      @demishellen  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Arpeggio and Reverb are very popular here 😎 So I will be looking at some reverbs and uses. I think a lot of people struggle with reverb and think you have to drown everything in it to get great atmosphere.

      @@demishellen Regarding verbs, maybe talk about how long a long delay ought to be, how short a short verb should be, in sync or in millisecs predelays,, sends. What to be looking out for. I was using sends exclusively but recently I started using the synth delays & reverbs again keeping the layered sounds in sync still by using the same dial settings. I suppose everyone goes through phases of trying different things for a while then trying something else. No right or wrong way but sometimes it can sound messy if there is phasing and clashing. Looking forward to up coming tuts. I've learned from many pro producers in the last 2 years and quite often pros use the synth delays and reverbs instead of sends
